Live in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane? Haven't got much to do between Tuesday the 1st and Friday the 4th of December? Like looking for stuff? Well, you're in luck! Nintendo Australia are hiding coins in each of the three Central Business Districts in honour of the recent release of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Each day's coins will have clues appearing in the previous day's commuter newspaper mX to assist treasure hunters in finding the bounty. The first ten people to find the four coins will win a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and the following ten people will snag $50 in cold hard cash! Anyone younger than 16 will need a competent adult with them.
Certainly a strange contest, but should be a lot of fun if you have the time to spare. We'd certainly like to see some snapshots of the giant coins!

I wish they had promos like that in my area... XP
Whats a "CBD" ????
With this on, me living in the city.. I have to go to school... first good thing nintendo has ever done down under, and its not on a weekend..
Central Business District?
Wiiman, forget school. Oh yeah, and they never have these special events and such in Tassie..
i might be able to get to it on friday as i finish school for the year at 12
This is...odd. That's all I can really say.
No way, this is a great idea!
Damn, I didn't get an MX today
I like the idea. Prize is a bit weak though, considering the task (I'd've thought they'd give a Wii too or something). tbh I'd probably just keep the coin and then sell it for a lot more money on eBay in ten year's time when it becomes rare collectible merch
I would do this if it would happen anywhere near me.
Huh, strange? I think the contest is pretty cool.
Man, why does it just have to be in Australia? grr.
Central Business District
@Aviator: Apparently you need to find all 4 coins on all 4 days.... seems a bit excessive just to get one Wii game, but it sounds fun nethertheless
but people could see them spreading them around the city
@TehXeo: Becuase we always get screwed over with everything else.
I hate the big cities!! They always get the good stuff. Do something in Western Australia for once Nintendo!!
Do you get to keep the coin?
@Feld0: No, you just need to tell the rep of all 4 locations
This contest sounds really weird.
