Not really interested. Emulation works very well nowadays with more graphical options and filters than official ports will ever offer and quality of life additions like save states and fast forward are a must. I'd rather see new content on the switch. That said SOTN is my favourite game in the series so if the switch is your only option, I'll support the motion.
Not sure I get where the 'fantastic system for fighting game enthusiasts' statement comes from? I mean of course there's Smash but there's no Street Fighter IV or V, no Tekken, no Soul Calibur, no Dead or Alive. That's a lot to be missing.
Also worrying for security purposes, anti-cheat software like denuvo requires kernel access level on your machine : "Ransomware abuses Genshin Impact's kernel mode anti-cheat to bypass antivirus protection". Just read this article, it's not old news, it's as of today.
Emulators will find a way around and paying customers will be left with reduced performance. Also denuvo does not require always online but be prepared to be refused access to your games on the go if you don't have access : "Denuvo games require reactivation if you haven't played them in a while or if you change any of your computer's hardware, and you must authenticate with Denuvo servers every time you receive an update" (admittedly haven't researched this too far).
@wolflik3me It does but do not expect it to be perfect. MK is perfect during gameplay at 1.5x resolution but has the occasional stutter in menus. For WII I only have FE Radiant Dawn, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros WII and Super Mario Galaxy installed, I wish I had a way to transfer saves between my WII and the handheld. Gamecube is better, I am replaying RE4, Metroid Prime, some Starfox etc. Still had a few games that did not fare well. On the other hand PSP emulation is perfect at 3x/5x resolution. Ps2 is hit and miss, Dead to Rights, Devil May Cry, FF XII, Front Mission IV, Marvel Ultimate Alliance etc. (I have about 200 games installed) work well but I haven't even tried God of War and some of the hardest games to emulate. I haven't tried 3DS since I still have my 2DSXL and it's already portable. That said it is a great handheld but the queue to get one is not as bad as the steam deck but close (I was lucky I ordered early february and got mine in may but people who ordered other models have been waiting for more than 6 months...) and you might be better off just doing the preorder for the new windows based models unless some units hit retail.
Anbernic is old news. I have been playing MK WII and Double Dash for months on Ayn Odin Pro. Anbernic is also set to release the SteamDeckish Win 600 but even this does not look that great compared to the next Ayn and Aya handhelds. That said I still use the Anbernic 351MP/V for anything up to - including - PS1. Can't beat that 4:3 ratio screen.
Extraordinary game on PC. I'm 40 hours in and I'd say the way to go is focus on the main game (29 hours for me) then come back to do side missions once in a while so it does not get old.
Once again I am in favor of ditching the dock in favor of cross saves. I already have a PC and Xbox. I can't imagine playing the switch other than handheld. Also iirc nintendo sold regular Switches without docks in Japan before the Lite so maybe the next model will continue this trend (I'd rather have bluetooth, smaller bezzles and better handheld performances).
Don't know who this is and not buying the nintendo isn't smart thing but I would like to see the dock disappear and nintendo focusing on cross saves between systems. When I want to play on a real screen I either use my PC or Xbox.
I'll wait for sales. Can't bring myself to pay full price for a game I already have on other consoles. Still I wouldn't mind being able to play this on the go.
I does not make me any younger but I remember the pc version was one of my first games ever. It was part of a hits compilation which featured Back to the Future 2, TMHT, Days of Thunder, Gremlins 2 all on 5 1/2 floppy disks. Those were the days...
Played a few hours on Xbox One since it's free with gamespass. Disappointing to say the least. Gameplay, level design and graphics are very basic, ranged attacks have problems with auto-targeting. It's missing pretty much everything I like in Minecraft : free roaming and exploration. Can't jump, can't dig... they could have introduced new gameplay elements in the genre, instead they went with the same old stuff... It's OK as a free game but I wouldn't buy it. Missed opportunity.
No nintendo this weekend, I will be doing a PS3 revival. On the menu some Demon's Souls action, NIER:Replicant, The Guided Fate Paradox, Quanthum Theory and Vampire Rain : Altered Species. Yep, two very good games, anime stuff and two unloved titles.
Same old. Minus games I already own and those that are cheaper on Steam or Xbox one there's not much left and nothing that's discounted enough to get my interest. I'd say I don't get Nintendo but I guess they did the math and decided that being stingy was the way to go.
Luigi's Mansion, Shin Megami Tensei IV and Xenoblade Chronicles. Yeah I'm on 3ds since I am in Tokyo right now and don't want any misunderstanding as to what I bought where (the only good point about region lock...)
I'm not a zelda fan though since I got a switch lite I've been wondering if I should give it a go, however the price point held me back. I guess I'll give this one a go instead and see if I like the style. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Re: Talking Point: Is The Golden Age Of Licensed Music In Games Over?
Tony Hawk, Gran Turismo 2 both had absolute bangers. I'm still surprised they crammed so much in these discs.

NA/Europe. Radical and Extreme!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 27th)
Mainly Trinity Universe on PS3 with some Spelunky/Risk of Rain 2 on Switch on the side. Maybe a dash of Gears 4 on Xbox One.

Old enough to have played both ps1 games at release. Not too sure how I feel about going back.

A childhood favourite but not holding my breath. These game adaptations have always been notoriously bad or average at best.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game?
The PS2 Konami trilogy is the best for me.

Doesn't look easy on the eyes nor very practical to me but if he feels fine with it I guess that's what counts.

Re: Feature: Need More Turtles After Shredder's Revenge? You Should Check Out These Underrated TMNT Gems
I've actually been playing the PS2 versions on Ayn Odin waiting for Shredder's Revenge. I'd think HD versions of those would fare well on the switch.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet Announced, Releasing Worldwide On Switch In "Late 2022"
I'm in. The only thing I didn't like in Arceus was the setting and this feels way better.
