Re: Talking Point: It's About Time Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night Came To Switch

Not really interested. Emulation works very well nowadays with more graphical options and filters than official ports will ever offer and quality of life additions like save states and fast forward are a must. I'd rather see new content on the switch.
That said SOTN is my favourite game in the series so if the switch is your only option, I'll support the motion.

Emulators will find a way around and paying customers will be left with reduced performance. Also denuvo does not require always online but be prepared to be refused access to your games on the go if you don't have access : "Denuvo games require reactivation if you haven't played them in a while or if you change any of your computer's hardware, and you must authenticate with Denuvo servers every time you receive an update" (admittedly haven't researched this too far).

@wolflik3me It does but do not expect it to be perfect. MK is perfect during gameplay at 1.5x resolution but has the occasional stutter in menus. For WII I only have FE Radiant Dawn, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros WII and Super Mario Galaxy installed, I wish I had a way to transfer saves between my WII and the handheld.
Gamecube is better, I am replaying RE4, Metroid Prime, some Starfox etc. Still had a few games that did not fare well.
On the other hand PSP emulation is perfect at 3x/5x resolution.
Ps2 is hit and miss, Dead to Rights, Devil May Cry, FF XII, Front Mission IV, Marvel Ultimate Alliance etc. (I have about 200 games installed) work well but I haven't even tried God of War and some of the hardest games to emulate.
I haven't tried 3DS since I still have my 2DSXL and it's already portable.
That said it is a great handheld but the queue to get one is not as bad as the steam deck but close (I was lucky I ordered early february and got mine in may but people who ordered other models have been waiting for more than 6 months...) and you might be better off just doing the preorder for the new windows based models unless some units hit retail.

Anbernic is old news. I have been playing MK WII and Double Dash for months on Ayn Odin Pro. Anbernic is also set to release the SteamDeckish Win 600 but even this does not look that great compared to the next Ayn and Aya handhelds. That said I still use the Anbernic 351MP/V for anything up to - including - PS1. Can't beat that 4:3 ratio screen.

Re: Poll: Do You Play Your Switch More In Docked Or Handheld Mode?

Muriustar

Once again I am in favor of ditching the dock in favor of cross saves. I already have a PC and Xbox. I can't imagine playing the switch other than handheld. Also iirc nintendo sold regular Switches without docks in Japan before the Lite so maybe the next model will continue this trend (I'd rather have bluetooth, smaller bezzles and better handheld performances).

Re: Minecraft Dungeons Is Out Today On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer

Played a few hours on Xbox One since it's free with gamespass. Disappointing to say the least. Gameplay, level design and graphics are very basic, ranged attacks have problems with auto-targeting. It's missing pretty much everything I like in Minecraft : free roaming and exploration. Can't jump, can't dig... they could have introduced new gameplay elements in the genre, instead they went with the same old stuff... It's OK as a free game but I wouldn't buy it. Missed opportunity.
