@sixrings except it's nowhere near a fine 9/10 game. Splatoon 3 is a great 9/10 game and was appropriately scored that. Splatoon has multiple modes, replayability, online play that doesn't completely suck (for the most part) and doesn't lie to it's consumers. Strikers released with only 12 playable characters, 5 stadiums and 1 mode, then drip fed us content that should have been there from the start. They sold us short with club mode claiming that 20 people can join clubs, yet failed to inform that only 4 switches can connect online at a time. That is inexcusable, especially when previous Strikers games released with so much more content. Call me a loser/toxic/whatever, I don't care. Just like NintendoLife, I play and review games for my community. It's literally my job. I have an audience that appreciates honesty and calling out shoddy practices for gaming. Nintendo did a bad job with Strikers and honestly, NintendoLife could have done better in conveying that too.
This is by far the most disappointing Nintendo game this year. How you guys gave it a 9/10 (the same score you gave Splatoon 3 btw) is completely beyond me.
I still don't understand how you guys gave this a 9/10. I bought it because of your glowing review and was thoroughly disappointed with the barebones content and pitiful online.
You should see Australia, for the past couple weeks there's been about 3 or 4 restocks of both consoles and controllers at most major outlets... it certainly doesn't look like production is winding down here!
@MitchVogel I've noticed that too! only thing i can think of is that possibly 2x team red matches could also be counted in the final tally which could skew results?
Words don't describe how gutted I am. I was on a demolition run for about 5 hours yesterday. I mean, I DESTROYED out there. I thought there was no way Team Red would lose. Blood, sweat and tears went into this Splatfest, only to have it cruelly taken from me.
YES!! Since it was delayed in Australia, we missed the wave of people playing online. I've only ever had 1 person connect with me online, would be great to have an actual online game. Unrelated to online play, I think I should have all my friends over to play this. That'll be carnage for the old YouTube channel.
@mjc0961 are you serious. There was more than enough weaponry when the game released, the free updates are an awesome bonus that keeps it fresh and exciting. Maybe before you bash the game, go play it.
@apowes That staff roll is still probably one of my favourite Nintendo music pieces... I finished my final assignment from a 4 year uni course whilst listening to it, reminding me of the happiness that SM64 gave me hahaha

So... is it still honestly a 9/10 for you guys? What a dismal game.
