The Game Party Japan 2016 event has just hosted the Japanese National Splatoon Championship, giving fans of the game the chance to test their skill against like-minded individuals. It also gave the truly dedicated the opportunity to show off their creative talents, as there was a booth which showcased fan-made versions of the weapons featured in the Wii U shooter.
Kotaku has put together a gallery of some of the most eye-catching designs, and seeing these excellent efforts has made us think - Nintendo should really team up with Nerf to create a special range of Splatoon-branded Super Soakers.

What is this feeling...?
Oh right. Envy.
@WireWare
Good for you, you didn't confuse envy with jealousy!
I too am envious.
These remind me of the giant Splat Roller that they had at the Splatoon booth at EGX this year....
I NEED THIS
I am happy with my PVC Roller. But that Inkstrike is pretty sweet and would be a great secondary weapon for me.
Can I get that Splattershot Jr. pls?
Those are really cool. I would've added one of those giant Fosters' beer cans to the blaster.
Well I gotta say, they don't really look good. They are too edgy and look kinda amateurish.
Maybe you don't know it, but there are 3D printing templates for several Splatoon weapons out there. And those templates look a lot better than the actual pieces in the photos here. I know that because I thought about letting a shop print them for me for a Splatoon music video that I want to make.
Still a pretty amazing achievement to actually do it, kudos for that to the makers of the weapons in these photos. But the .52 gal, Inkstrike and Splattershot don't look good, they look like they are made out of paper or something.
nice
Erm, that's actually the KELP splat charger.
i have a green bucket in real life. close enough for now.
