@Pupito So what, because they have the right to do it, we should be happy with everything they do?
It doesn't work like that.
We have the right to not be happy about something like that.
I actually prefer when there's nothing more then when they taunt us with extra paying stuff they could have perfectly added in the game without any problem.
After all, I can do nasty things to people because I have the right to do it, and I can also taunt them after saying "Crying about it won't change anything".
@Savino Well, for the 20$, at least you can actually buy it easily instead of searching it for a long time just to have the chance to buy it...
At least, for Botw, I can forgive them. For an open world game like this, this need a lot of work, and there's more content than just more difficult ennemies. Feels more like an extension.
@AXM And to say the 2D serie was particulary good at this... "Finish the game under x hours and/or with x% item, and you can unlock a lot of stuff!" I hope they'll keep doing that even tought there's no much to unlock now with these amiibo reward (aka physical paywall). Maybe the original game like in Zero Mission?
No, I think this is a good thing for Intl Creates, as this makes you more likely to buy the game.
This is really a good strategy to allow people to download the DLC even if you don't have the game!
Plus, everyone is happy.
@Equinox They can't do anything with this for now...
I'd hardly call that "hack" like people tend to think what hacking means.
It's more a thing like "hey, I found a bug that does a neat thing!" than a "I can use that to modify or get my games free!".
It's not really that much of a cause of concern. We see bugs everywhere.
So... It's like the streetpass-minigame we got for Super Smash Bros 4 3DS?
The Switch severly lacks local multiplayer games like this one.
This is a step in the right direction!
@speedracer216
I think they meant that they have no special moves in the sense like in fighting game where you have to make quarter-circle to unleash a unique attack.
In fact, no character can do a unique attack aka a unique move aka a special move.
Instead, they have abilities, like dodging easily, cannot flinch,...
They are not really moves, but they can definitely be called abilities.
@StephenYap3 If you say so... I said that because of the reviews I red.
What I really wanted to say is that these esthetic sell well. But at one point, the game is so good that you wish that the esthetic would be different because you feel like the gameplay in itself is superior in any way than what is seems with these grapics.
Do you still agree with that? Because you'll make me want to buy a game to try the serie if you say yes. ^^
@Vix Rabi-Ribi?
One of the best Metroidvania! I love this game!
I think that the "cute esthetic" hurts it more than it helps it.
I tought it was one of this games that sells on the anime style, but have nothing in substance...
I was gladly proved false by the game (and the reviews).
And if I understand, contrary to Rabi-Ribi, the Dark Witch plays more on the esthetic than on the gameplay...
This game is barebone and not a single thing is finished.
Doesn't feel good when you control it, looks hilarious but isn't, menus are worthless, bugs are everywhere, no good online implemented...
It looks like they started to work on it a few months ago, but noooo, there's apparently years of development behind it.
And there I was thinking they abandoned it...
They should try to finish the game before trying to port it.
I'm betting this game will never be finished, being one of those games "now that it's in early acess and people are buying it, we can take our time".
@alasdair91 You don't need to worry about NNID and all of that. The games you buy are connected to your Switch, no matter with wich account you bought them. ^^
@alasdair91 Yep, that's exactly that. ^^
Don't hesitate to use that trick to pay less, or to get games in advance as most of the japanese games already have the English langage.
@alasdair91 Ah, don't worry. If you buy things in the Japanese store, they will be free in the other stores. You can't really test it with demos. Except that if you try, for example, to download the snipperclips demo from the japanese store, you will get it not in japanese, but in your langage.
@alasdair91 When you say they doesn't show up, you mean that they are not in the store?
If it's the case, then I'm sorry, it seems I wasn't clear enough....
I meant that when a game can be bought in the Europe and Japanese Eshop, for exemple, if you buy it on the European one, it will be free to download from the Japanese one.
And if you try to download from one store, you will have the exact same version as if you tried from the other one.
@alasdair91 Strange, games I have dowlnoaded on my Japanese account did show up in my Europe account and vice-versa.
With only one exception : the puyo puyo tetris demo didn't work that way.
I scratched my head when I saw this, but I eventually realised that it's because they actually are different version.
You have to win 2 times to win the match in the japanese version, and only 1 in the european one.
Are you sure you are not talking about this demo when you say this?
@Moon You can't...
You can create a new user on the my.nintendo site, picking the japanese region, create a new user on you Switch, and link the 2 together.
But for the money, there's no way to transfer it from one account to another.
@Nagi_Nagisa If you buy it on the Japanese Eshop, you wil get it too on the European Eshop. I did some test, and it seems that no matter the Eshop you buy games on, you will unlock the game on every Eshop.
As it is cheaper on the japanese shop, you should buy it there. ^^
Oh, that's so much better than the 30 fps and 240p of the 3DS!
Wait, what, I should compare it to the Wii U and say it's not that great, you say? But why? Oooh, I see, you like to see the bad side of things instead of the good one! Well, do you what you want to do, but don't say after that you're not happy when you could be!
@NintendoFan4Lyf I'm sorry, but this is not the case. :/
You'll have to buy it again... But you can now buy the campaigns as stand alone for less money, if you want to play only one of them on the Switch. What they are upgrading is the normal version. Now that there's standalones, the normal version will be upgraded to the "every campaigns" version. It's the exact same thing, it's only to avoid some confusions about the standalone versions that's coming out.
After reading this, I looked some videos about it, and I'm amazed...

Yes yes, you heard me. This app does nothing.
Actually, after doing the "illegal things" outside this app to have access to all game on the FreeShop, you can also have free access to all game in the eShop itself.
But I have to say that it's hard to understand what the freeShop is, then.

@FierceRagnar @Kayfios @Gridatttack @faint @GloverMist
No you have to finish the game AND buy the amiibo to unlock these.
It's a translation error. The original text says that you really have to finish the game AND THEN scan the amiibo to unlock these bonuses.
@AXM
I'm REALLY disappointed now...

You have to buy an expensive figurine to unlock the hard mode, really?
I'm really disappointed... :/
@Snow-Dust You actually can!

There's still a loooooong way before the Switch is "usefully" hacked.
This is the first step, but it's not enough to really be useful.

As for Chrono Trigger, yeah... It's sad. Strange they didn't included it.

This just makes this mini-console better, honestly.

Re: Square Enix Has Been 'Tenacious' in Ongoing Conversations About Final Fantasy XIV on Switch
I wonder, how would we talk in a console MMORPG?
I mean, it's a big part of the game, as it is a MMO.
If we have to point a a screen with letters, it would be impraticle as it would take a lot of time just to say little things.

Like in third editions.

It's why it's taking so long.
Oh, and because of health issues too.
