Re: Review: Wizard Of Legend (Switch eShop)

@Fazermint You get some special money each run that you keep after losing (or winning), and you can spend it to unlock attacks/relics (passive boosts) to chose for the next run.
You begin each run with 4 attacks and one relic. There's a looot of them, so you can start your run with a crazy number of combinaison, that goes up each time you buy something.
Oh, you can also buy cloaks which will give you some pretty good boosts.
You also unlock some attacks each time you defeat a boss.

But the true progression is your knowledge of the attacks and relics. You will use them more efficiently and chose them accordingly for a better synergy.
Or just have more fun because you'll know what you like the most.

So yeah. That's some kind of progress.

@Liam_Doolan You seem to have a pretty low opinion of rogue-likes dungeon crawler...

If the gameplay is meh, talk about it instead of talking about every good points the game have, as it seems that it's what made the score for you!
Because for us, as we only have your text, the only thing we hear about the gameplay are things like " it's never repetitive" which reflects it as a very good game.
Which then makes it very odd to have a score that doesn't reflect what is written.

Re: Review: Wizard Of Legend (Switch eShop)

As @Poglita said, you're praising the game, not even talking about a single flaw, and even saying it's better than most games on the Switch.
And yet, you only gave the game a 7?
I know 7 is good score, but still...?

Re: Blatant Splatoon Mobile Rip-Off Has Resurfaced in China

Mopati

@GracefulGazelle Sounds like a good plan, but it's horrible. Copyright laws exists for a reason.
Like saying killing a man is not forbidden, you just have to pay a really small fee, so people can then come in your country and kill whoever they want, giving money to the country.
Good plan for the economy, horrible plan humanly.

Re: Crawl

This game is the best local multiplayer game I've ever had the chance of playing.
If you want a game to play with your friends, take it, it's a must!

I loved this game so much on pc!
I'm curious about the new dungeons, but I could use this money to buy instead games I don't have, like Xenoblade 2...

Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

Mopati

@Fazermint And most people will tell you "This game is bad, this score is too big!" and other "This is underrated, this need a better score.".

By doing an average score of everyone's opinion, you will give an accurate score only to a small portion of the players.
(The exact portion can also change depending of the actual game you are giving a score.)

And for the other players? It will be false for them.

If 50% of a group of people like a game, and the other 50% dislike it, would you give 5/10? It will be inaccurate for all of them. A good score? For half of them. A bad one? Half again.

See what I mean? You cannot quantify something subjective.

Re: Shadow to be Playable in Free 'Episode Shadow' DLC for Sonic Forces

Mopati

Only played one Sonic game, Sonic Mania, but compared to this game, the level design in this video looks awfully flat...
Didn't one of the lead designer of Mania said that the most important element of Sonic is the slopes? There doesn't seem to have any of them here...

Anyway, free DLC are good, but what is the use of free day one DLC? Might as well be included directly in the game.

@cfgk24 Actually, I work all week-ends of September... But I'm interested after this month.
But we could be far from each other in Belgium, or even not talking the same language... ^^'
I've looked your name on the internet, but I can't find any information about that...

Re: Random: Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon has a New 'Photo Club' Mode, and Kanto Could Return

Mopati

@NintenNinja16 It doesn't have anything to do with the article, but I have to say that I love your avatar!

Maybe this time, they are trying to hide that you can go to Kanto, only giving clues, as opposed to Sun and Moon where they told everything before the game was out?
This could explain the lack of information we got for so long.

Also, if there was a time for the remix of LeafGreen/RedFire, it would be now, as this is the "next game to have a remix" in the serie. But as this was already a remix, we can't know for sure what they'll do.

So this could make a lot of sense to have the return of Kanto in this game.

Now, I believe it will not be the case. Thanks to that, I will not be disappointed if it doesn't happen, and I'll be really happy if it does.

Re: Here's What Those Lovely New amiibo Do In Metroid: Samus Returns

Mopati

@Pupito Oh, but I will buy it, no problem here.

It's just that I was sad that these kind of things we had to unlock in previous 2D Metroid games are now unlockable by paying...
What is left for us to unlock with a good run?
They removed something from the serie, and now, not only there is something less to unlock, but we have to pay for it, this time...

This is not a good sign, and I'm fearful about it.
