Inti Creates has adopted a model to reward early adopters with free content, something we've seen with Blaster Master Zero. Now Switch and 3DS eShop title Mighty Gunvolt Burst will add content that, for a period, won't cost a cent.
An update to version 1.1 will introduce DLC with Ekoro as a playable character; she'll be familiar to those that follow the Gal*Gun series and may remember her from Mighty Gunvolt. This DLC will arrive on 27th July and be free until 9th August, after which it'll cost €1.99 / $1.99USD. You can see the character and her abilities in action below.
Are you planning to try out this DLC?

Okay FINE Nintendo, I'll buy Mighty Gunvolt Burst. Sheesh.
That's great news! Been looking for a reason to replay this great game!
Really solid game, i was very suprised by how much I enjoyed considering how awful Mighty No 9 was. Happy to see theyre releasing some free content!
If I get the game, I'm going through it with this character.
Awesome - I love Intl Creates - just played through Blaster Master Zero with Gunvolt I am already done with Gunvolt Burst - can't wait for the DLC. Am curious if it will get Shantae and Shovel Knight as well
Definitely will be trying the DLC. I am horrible at Mighty Gunvolt though! The reflexes must be going with old age lol
Is it wrong that I've downloaded all the free DLC but don't actually own the game?....
Sweet, couldn't get into Blaster Master, but Mighty Gunvolt Burst scratches that Mega Man itch that Capcom hasn't gotten to yet.
Wait, does this game includes the main bosses of MN9?
Also why haven't I seen of this game before???
Looks awesome. Will definitely get.
@G0dlike You could do this for Master Blaster Zero by scrolling down the eShop page of the game. I hope it will be possible to do the same with Burst since I don't own the game and don't plan to buy it any time soon
Oh neat she's back
Sweet I will be getting this but why next week? Oh right Splatoon is launching this week that's why.
@G0dlike I'm in the same situation...
No, I think this is a good thing for Intl Creates, as this makes you more likely to buy the game.
This is really a good strategy to allow people to download the DLC even if you don't have the game!
Plus, everyone is happy.
I actually wish they would charge me for the DLC! I enjoyed Blaster Master Zero and Mighty Gunvolt Burst so much that I'd like to give something extra back but I don't want to have to wait until 9th August to play it.
Still, this is great news, I just finished getting S-rank on all the levels in Hard mode so I'm looking for something new to do!
I was wondering the other day why she wasn't on the game. This is pretty cool from Inti and I'll download it for sure. Seriously ppl this deserves your money and so do Oceanhorn.
YES!!!!111
Glad to see Inti Creates making the DLC characters for this game unique too.
Ekoro even apparently has her own little story, which I wasn't expecting.
@Gridatttack it indeed does. All the bosses are from mighty number 9 and one could argue that this is the game mighty should of been in the first place.
Great news! Hopefully there are new Challenges to go with the new character. Give me another 30!
Wonderful game, if you haven't bought this yet it is a must for any platformer.
Yessssss~ Love that game, I've been wishing it would start getting more DLC characters Blaster Master-style.
@Pupito no argument here mate, been playing mega Man since the second and love the series even the bad ones. I did enjoy mighty number 9 just wish it had lived up to it's intial hype is all.
Maybe GalGun for switch may be incoming! Think of it, detach both joycons and 2 players can team up firing ecstasy shots using the motion controls!
Perfect, just beat Gal*Gun again on Steam yesterday and I loved Ekoro om the first mini Gunvolt game.
@GameOtaku Honestly, Galgun would be a PERFECT game for the Switch. Gyro controls when docked. Button controls when handheld. Either way, it'd be incredibly addicting.
@SuperCharlie78,
I didn't know this sadly. Otherwise I would have done it and downloaded the game at a later date (maybe it gets cheaper later on).
