@tech7 I'll stick with Ryza then, I'm not down with time limits and I LOVE the more active combat in Ryza too. No worries, I have PLENTY of other stuff to play lol.

@tech7 I'm with you on that one. Although, if any of them are even half as good as Atelier Ryza I may have to go for it one of these days.

Holy crap, I think it's actually a "nothing for me" week! I mean, I have incoming games for review but I'm pretty sure I'm not actually buying anything this week. Of course, a couple weeks ago during the crazy-ass sales I DID buy a TON of massive RPGs so unless it's for the website/review I might actually be chilling out on the purchases for a bit. I know, calm down.

I was JUST about to finally get on board with Pokemon game too. Oh well, saved myself $60 + $30.

HELL yeah, this looks f'ing AMAZING and I already emailed FDG about getting on the list for a review code. @Future777, The Ghost Generation is DOWN.

I really just don't NEED one, I love my Switch and I have a metric TON of all-time favorite games on it. My backlog is huge, amazing new stuff comes all the time, and I'm just not fussed for something "bigger & better". If it DOES happen I'm sure I'll get one but I'm damn sure not even ATTEMPTING to move my library over, I'll just have 2 Switches. F all that noise!

In the past 2 weeks I've Started Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and picked up a CRAP ton of RPGs on sale. Ni No Kuni, Tales of Vesperia, Final Fantasy X/X2, and Final Fantasy XII.

Picking up XBC2 got my FULLY back into RPGs, I'd not really been into them since I was a kid, so I stocked up and I should be busy WELL into the year lol. Plus, I still have Octopath to finish and I may even start that one fresh since its been like 6 months.

So yeah, unless I'm reviewing a game it'll be ALL about my RPGs for a while. Poor backlog. Don't even get me STARTED on the fact that Animal Crossing is coming to ruin our lives soon.

Honestly? Working on a few things for upcoming reviews but I'm starting to get REALLy good at Dead Cells so I'm pretty much sucked back into that one right now and LOVING it. Still haven't beaten it on Hard but I got close last night. Still discovering tons of new stuff and it's just fantastic. I'm sure I'll dip into some Dauntless and other things too, but Dead Cells has my holiday attention for now!

It's a good thing I did a lot of it for work purposes or I'd be a little ashamed of myself and my 2,359 hours lol.

This game is MAD cool so far, runs super smooth too.

@Richnj Yep. That's what I try to do on The Ghost Generation. My reviews aren't so much "reviews" as they are a real-deal look into my thoughts about the game, as a fan. More like an editorial, cause I just think everyone else is kinda doing the same thing. people seem to like it so far!

When I hear "Dark Souls" I get a little sketched cause if I'm being SUPER honest- Dark Souls does very little besides stress me out. This though? It's looking more and more like a must-have the more I hear about it. We'll see.

I'm REALLY not into the artstyle but if the combat is as FANTASTIC as it looks I'm all about it.

I have only ever played Minecraft solo. As a parent, the silence is MAGIC and the villagers don't talk back.

Working on a review/write-up for Riverbond which is a SUPER fun game that you don't have to take too seriously, checking out Space Pioneer, and STOKED about King of Cards finally dropping.

Looks gorgeous, it's just not a genre I have much fun with. I'm a Dead Cells kinda guy- I like fast, fluid action vs. slowly creeping around. I slowly creep around enough at night when I'm trying not to wake up toddlers so I can play video games.

I'll give Willy a shot.

SOOOOOOOOOO stoked for this. Motion Twin are some of the best in the biz, this kind of thing is why.

My thought is this- it’s either totally DOA or they’re gonna blow our minds with a killer drop before Christmas. Give me Axelay, Actraiser, and Super Smash TV and I’ll be fine forever. We’ll see I guess.🤷🏼‍♂️

Fantastic game, one of my favorite twin-stick shooters in recent memory.

I'd be curled up in a little ball on that bed, staring at my melted Switch, crying like a baby and cursing myself for being such a dink. On the flipside though, it kind looks like an "Evil Dead Edition" Switch Lite now cause of the slight resemblance to the book.

@NoxAeturnus That's true, I just think these things would have been SUPER obvious and it would have been readily apparent that vastly more time was needed. Now, it'll go down in history as a bad game, and for better or worse that team's artistic vision won't be fully realized. Just a shame, but I do understand that perspective.

My thing is- I just don't understand how a dev team would look at this and say 'Yep, let's ship it boys!". I mean, it's VERY obviously bad, and they'd HAVE to know that. I just don't get how this happens I guess.

This game is amazing and one of the best on Switch. Absolutely fantastic, start to finish.

@TDRsuperstar2 Codes went out late for The Tourist, that's probably why no reviews are up yet.

BTW, everyone waiting on The Touryst's reviews- I'm pretty sure they sent out codes late, I just got mine today so I bet it's the same for a lot of others too. That being said, it's an absolutely amazing game that you can be fully confident in buying. Trust me- it's something very special indeed.

@Woomy_NNYes It's really damn hard, so much so that I've decided to flip my format for reviews on The Ghost Generation. Instead of full-fat reviews I'm going to be doing features/editorials that aren't as in depth but still allow me to highlight games for my readers in a way that doesn't land me in divorce court lol.

The Touryst is stunning.
