Nintendo Life being Nintendo Life again. While other games get praised for no reasons, this game gets slammed because the tutorial is too long? Never heard of that before, but always something new from Nintendo Life. It's hard for me to take this publication seriously anymore.
Great review Nintendo Life (and I don't say this often). Baldo is a clunky mess and never should have been released in this state or probably never at all. Shame for the beautiful art style and the soundtrack but Naps Team just failed with this game.
@Einherjar Not reviewing a released game because it's broken tells also a lot about Nintendo Life as they are supporting the shabby behavior of the developer who releases a game in a broken state. It's a slap in the face of the customers. Nintendo Life is losing all its credibility with this move waiting until a patch arrives.
Oh well, I played Axiom Verge 2 on Switch and the combat is so terrible that I already stopped playing it. If this game is a 9/10 then I'm the emperor of China lol.
Guys, don't trust this bad review here, the reviewer is definitely too harsh on this game. I played Battle Axe on Switch and it's lots of fun. In my opinion it's an 8/10.
Nah, this is never an 8/10. In contrast, the responsive gameplay is not there, the game has some input lag which makes it a chore to play, especially with boss fights. 6/10 would give the game more justice in my opinion.
Wow, this review is definitely too harsh on this game, it's never a 3/10, sorry Nintendo Life. I played it on Switch and it is so adorable. Giving this game such a low score is unjustified. Nintendo Life reviews can't be trusted anymore.
@Fredbu I got my copy early today and I also had to download a 3.9 GB patch and I'm playing on version 1.0.1. I already regret buying this game, it's a terrible port that Switch owners should avoid.
To me it seems this is just an excuse saying that fans would be only on PlayStation platforms. With the death of the PS Vita, many have moved to Switch and especially in Japan, the Switch is dominating the market. I think it's not a wise business decision from the president not bringing their games to Switch. I'm sure one day he will regret it that he didn't even try.
@tobibra Yes, it seems to be a problem if none of their staff likes these kind of games. Personally I'm also not into fan service games but I do like visual novels so I find this review a bit too harsh. But at least people can read the comments and can make their own conclusions .
This review proves that Nintedo Life reviews can't be trusted anymore. This game is never a 3/10, more like a 7/10. Why on earth does Nintendo Life allows someone to review this game if that person doesn't like visual novels?
@konbinilife I know that this works as a solution for some but I don't like that position on the controller, it's not working for me, feels kind of uncomfortable to play.
@konbinilife I would put jump on B and whip on Y. Super Castlevania IV and Castlevania Bloodlines have the controls like this in this collection. That's why I don't understand Konami hasn't included an option to change the layout how the player prefers it.
@John_Deacon Yes, I agree, 3/10 is too low for this game, 5 or 6/10 would fit better, especially when I think that other average games are praised by Nintendo Life reviewers.
The score is a bit too low in my opinion, I would definitely rate it higher, like 8 or 8.5! I just played it a few hours and absolutely enjoying it on Switch.
Normally, a demo should sell a product but this demo just did the opposite for me: bad controls, bad UI and map design, and most importantly I missed some guidance what the game wants me to do. The missions felt so uninspired that I immediately deleted the demo.
I totally agree with this score. Played the game for around 2 hours but gave up because the single player mode is just too difficult to handle. Every enemy just feels too strong, boss fights take forever and the items you get after beating enemies are a joke. And the missing check point system is unacceptable.
Genderists and feminists now even use game reviews for their complains? Do you know the background story of the developer? That their mother was lying on the dying bed? This game is meant to be how it is and there is no need to complain if it has a male or female protagonist.
I can confirm that this game is terrible, the input lag destroys the playability. I can't understand how the developers think someone could enjoy a game where you press the button and the reaction on the screen is a second later.
I'm surprised that this review doesn't mention the frame rate drops of the Switch version. In the first level, the game still plays smoothly but beginning in the 2nd level, there is quite some stuttering. At least the devs will release a patch but in this state, the Switch version should not have been released.
A 6/10, are you serious? I played this on Vita and it deserves at least an 8/10 or even better. The reviewer must have hated this game so much, this can be the only explanation for this low score.
You left out the most important part of the interview: "Our business model involves selling both the game console and the software for it, so we're working to get more customers paying continuously for content, for example through paid subscription services." This is what Sony plans to do!
I don't agree with this review, Slain is definitely better than a 4/10. Just because it is too difficult for the reviewer, he should not give it a bad score. I played this on Vita the game is quite doable with checkpoints through all levels.

It's a shame that this game got approval from Nintendo to be released for the Switch. It's a terrible game and so broken.

This game is garbage on Switch, I recommend avoiding it!

@LOZ_Master95 I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, I actually just played the game on Switch and that's why I can not agree with this review.
Re: Review: Assassin's Creed III Remastered - The Franchise Runt Gets A Clunky Switch Port
@sandman89 Yes, the Switch version is definitely better than a 5/10, this site is becoming a joke in regards to reviews.

@Woosh193 Yeah, many reviews on this site are rubbish now
Re: Review: Castlevania Anniversary Collection - You'll Want To Get Your Teeth Into This
@konbinilife I find it sad there is no button re-mapping because besides that, the collection is awesome.

@konbinilife i find the button assignment terrible and would have wished for an option to change it.
Re: Review: Castlevania Anniversary Collection - You'll Want To Get Your Teeth Into This
You should have mentioned the bad button assignment where you have to use A/Y for jumping and B/X for whip.

Re: Review: Hive Jump (Wii U eShop)
What a trash game, this deserves maximum 3/10.
Re: Review: Chasm - A Procedurally-Generated Metroidvania That Pleases Rather Than Dazzles
Combat is rock-solid? I found it pretty annoying. But average score of 7/10 is ok, it's good but nothing special.

Re: Review: Unexplored (Switch eShop)
Sound and music is only in mono in this game, as always, Nintendo Life doesn't mention technical issues.

@moroboshi It's only 30 FPS on Switch, I'm surprised the review doesn't mention that.
Re: Review: Tales Of The Tiny Planet (Switch eShop)
$19.99 is just a rip off for this kind of game. It seems some developers want to profit from Switch gamers which is a shame.
Re: Review: The End Is Nigh (Switch)
This game is insanely difficult that it's not enjoyable at all, only recommendable for people who love to die thousand times in a game.

Re: Review: Serial Cleaner (Switch eShop)
