Re: Cave Story Hits DSiWare November 29th

"November has been one incredible month for Nintendo gaming."
Unless you're a european cavestory fan, in which case, nicalis hates you.

How on earth do they get it released twice in america before they can even get the first one out in europe, despite their promises that they were going to get it out in europe first then do a patch for america, which obviously didn't happen in that order. Bah humbug

Re: 3DS To Get Revamped Online Shop

No word on demos? It'd be pretty bad if nintendo skipped out on them again, it's hard enough to excuse them missing on the wii which launched a few years ago, on a 3DS now? It's downright disgusting if they're still missing

Re: Expect More Sonic Games Like Sonic Colours

Linkstrikesback

@24 Where do you people keep getting this idea from that it having adventure in the name makes it = sonic adventure 3?
For one thing, following that logic, it's supposed to be sonic adventure 4 as sonic rush adventure would be "3". Unleashed has nothing in common with either adventure game, other than the common elements that are in every sonic game, and it was so clearly based on sonic & secret rings for the day stages that I can't fathom where people get this idea

Re: Practise Your Balancing with PHYSIO FUN Tomorrow

@20 @21
Really, you think that it's going to be beneficial, how? It's not going to be better than wiifit in any way or form for the "purpose" they're trying to sell it for, and I'm darn sure it won't be any better in aiding people who need to relearn walking or anything severe like that.

And then there is the fact it's from the same people responsible for "Flashlight" and "Discolight". If that doesn't ring any warning bells, then I don't know what does

Re: Practise Your Balancing with PHYSIO FUN Tomorrow

>Most expensive wiiware game
>Undoubtably a Wii fit ripoff, sold as "aid to people recovering" when various hospitals already recommended wiifit for similar purpose
>Requires balance board
>99% Chance of being shovelware.
I'm calling it: This is on wiiware because even retailers are refusing to stock any more of this crap, especially when this would have to compete with wiifit + for store space (ha! good luck with that)

Re: New Ace Attorney Investigations Title Outed by Famitsu

Good. Would be nice to actually do some prosecuting in this one though. Another phoenix/apollo game without all the elements of investigating in AAI 1 would be a worthless piece of junk. They were ok, but by the 4th game everything was clearly going stale, A 5th one with nothing changed gameplaywise would have been terrible (actually, apollo already was but thats another story).

Also, is it just me or does the far left of the screenshot look like it has edgeworths portrait in the partner box?

Re: First Sonic Colours Gameplay Trailer Drills, Dashes and Grinds

Linkstrikesback

Heres hoping its decently long. I seem to remeber sega saying something like they included the werehog in unleashed because it'd be difficult to produce a lengthy sonic game in the style of only "day stages". That could be balanced by it being a wii game rather than a 360/ps3 game which are (supposedly) more difficult and time consuming to create games on, but who knows.

Re: Shu Takumi Talks Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney

@3 investigations a disappointment?!? It was my favourite game in the series. Apollo justice easily being my least favourite.
Investigations at least tried to reinvigorate a dead horse, which the series had become by the time we reached Apollo, I love the storyline but there was so much wrong with the point'n' click model of the first 4 games that shows it age now. Everything else from the games was excellent, but the seriously poor "gameplay" outside of courtroom is appalling, and AAI improved on it significantly while keeping everything good from the previous games, and improving on it significantly.

Examining crime scenes as Edgeworth makes much more sense as to how you go about it than how phoenix did it, "logic" could use improvement to include using evidence and possibly profiles rather than bits of text.

The music in Edgeworth, I thought at least, was so much better, it did an amazing job of using the DS hardware, at least in comparison to the first 4, and I definitely prefer the main themes from AAI (like cornered and objection) to some of the other entries, except maybe the themes from the first game.

Could have done with some trials, but other than that, I liked it and would definetly want more. Doubt I'd go for a another helping of apollo justice, or a phoenix wright game that didn't make use of some of the major advancements in AAI, especially the new method of investigating crime scenes

Also, capcom obviously doesn't care if he thinks the Ace attorney series are over with or not, since they already released AAI without him.
