I agree with a few other people in the comments , this game went right into the Wait for a significant price drop before buying pile of 3DS games, next to RE: Mercenaries.
For people who don't want to look at nintendolifes 10 review pages seperately, these the scores:
Super mario Bros: 9/10 Legend of zelda 8/10 Wrecking crew : 8/10 Zelda 2: 7/10 NES open tournament golf : 7/10 Baloon fight 6/10 Metroid 6/10 Ice climbers 5/10 Yoshi 4/10 Donkey kong jr 4/10
Several absolute turds here then. It gets even worse when the Multiplayer modes in some of them which were highlighted as pluses won't work for now on the 3DS
@SuperLink Only Mario Bros, Metroid and Zelda 1/2 would be worth paying for. The other 6 are laughable. Give away what you can't sell, seems like a good enough idea.
And to make it even better, judging from the box pictures, it's actually set up so you hold the wiimote the wrong way round, so unless mario kart has a left handed option I can't remember it having, good luck!
I was about to say the exacty same thing Number_6. I enjoyed rune factory frontier up until the point I realised sucess in the game wasn't about the farming or about the rpging. It was about balancing those horrible beasts called runeys and was no fun at all.
@Gavin_Rozee I hated Monster hunter tri. From my first 5 hours with Xenoblade, theres no comparision, in every way I can think of, Xenoblade is better than monster hunter tri.
@6,7 and anyone else with problems with wiis reading dual layered discs.
Have you tried nintendos offical lens cleaner? It works miracles, and it costs £6 from amazon and was totally worth it in my opinion, since any time I've had trouble reading dual layered discs (only twice ever mind you), the cleaner fixed it immediately, and I had a year and half gap between needing to use it the first two times, and one year so far from the second time.
I used to have problems with Dual layered discs - used the wii lens cleaner once and the disc has worked perfectly since. I'm willing to bet people who have problems haven't cleaned the lens in a long time.
Thats all well and good james, but aren't most wiis right now £100? Shopto and GAME both sell it for that much, and I doubt an £20 price drop would make much difference.
Ouch, thats more of a price drop than I was expecting. This is going to leave me very jaded, to say the least ,about buying any nintendo console on launch again
One show. In october. On a tuesday. Yeah, well thats just not going to be possible for me, 3rd year of university and all that, I can't justify taking 2-3 days out for this.
Thats depressing, I was looking forwad to trying to get to one of them, but this is ridiculous. Even worse for the rest of europe who don't even get a show in their own country.
Or I could continue to play Dead or Alive Dimensions, which, alongside the added bonus of already being a much better game than street figher 4, provided a ton of DLC costumes for free. Hmm...
We have 3 re-releases of zelda games on the 3DS this year. (Links awakening/Ocarina/4 Swords). I can honestly say that I do not want any more ports of zelda on the 3DS.
Either get a new zelda out, then release majoras mask later, or don't bother at all.
No price drops as time goes on is the single worst decision with the wii shop channel. And it looks like, unfortunatly, its going to be the same case with the 3DS eShop.
This horrific string of moves is enough to make me boycot capcom. At least, it would be if they didn't keep canceling/not translating the games I want!
@warnerdan. I think the best option would be for pokemon firered/leafgreen rather than the originals, I don't think that I could stand the originals anymore, it'd be really hard to go without all the minor addons that pokemon has had since then that improved the games.
Eh, didn't like the DS rune factory 1/2. (Bought them at the same time, mistake ) I liked rune factory frontier though, so I might have to get Tides of Destiny...
Excuse me, the last story has been confirmed for europe too. We're only waiting on pandoras tower, and the french Nintendo rep suggested that it might be happening when he/she confirmed The last story.
The dubbing being good or not is clearly a matter of opinion. I hate it, maybe mariofanatic does too. There is a good reason that both options are included on official dvds.
@Mariofanatic128 The english dubbed episodes are already far past the point where you find out that Garra is a kage o_0. The dvds are up to episode 65 of shippuden in the uk and slightly further for the US. Since you find it out in the first 10 episodes of shippuden...yeah
Not paying full price for another minimal work port. Sorry nintendo, that only works on me once. Waiting for a price drop to less than £15 before I even consider getting starfox 64 3d.
I agree wholeheartedly with that 10/10. This game is what zelda is really about. The game story and pace flows far better than any other zelda, especially over LTTP. The beatuiful spritework should put whoever the art designer for the DS zelda games to shame. The music is some of the best of its style, and its crazy to think some of this music was coming out of a game boy! I just had to stop and listen for ages when I heard tal tal heights again properly for the first time in so many years.
I really hope they go back and make a proper 2d zelda, since we haven't had one since minish cap, which was in 2004/5! (And links awakening was the last proper 2d zelda nintendo actually made! Capcom handled everything after this, with the exception of 4 swords adventures)
I can honestly say nintendo may have made a mistake releasing the game this early on the VC.
When you start with probably the best game on the GB/GBC/GBA line, where do you go from there?
Content targetted at the region? Well I'm glad to see nintendo europe thinks the content we want is delayed releases (ok LoZ:LA only got delayed by a day for us compared to america, but thats still a really terrible start to get off to), higher prices and no e3 content until weeks after the events gone.
I'm honestly one more nintendo screw up away from never bothering buying anything from the download store again.
This is actually my favourite announced title from nintendo at e3. Ok, we all knew skyward sword and mario and such were going to be there, this just looks pretty cool. We don't get enough games that just seem pretty cool anymore these days.
Also @20 All the dsiware games except those 11 mentioned by nintendo are there, but for obvious reasons the dsiware HIGHLIGHTS isn't going to include all of them, which is what you're looking at. Hit the search function and set the filter to "dsiware" and you'll see them all.
Hmm, most of those have DSi camera functionality (except the sudoku and Domo games), so maybe thats something to do with it. Then again, if that was it, Warioware snapped wouldn't be transferable... hmm
$1.99? Ok thats pretty low. I think I can live with that, though 0.99 would have been preferred. Any news on these values in other currencies? (I.e., british pounds )
Also, varied prices for GB games based on quality is brilliant news. Glad nintendos realized that a one price for all model doesn't really fit, hopefully these carry over to all vc games on the service.
Uhhh... @4 Playcoins are not the same thing as the 3DS ewallet o_0
@12. Yes, that could never happen. Except, there are clear examples of HD games being ported to the 3DS already. Super Street Fighter 4 3DS and Resident evil : mercenaries (Which is made from content of a minigame mode in Resident evil 4 and 5)
The consumer loses out heavily in download only services, in my opinion.
Without retail, theres no price wars leading to lower prices, theres no preorder bonuses giving out cool extras, theres no need to drop prices because nintendo would be the only people able to decide what anything is worth (and nintendo is a real hardass on price dropping stuff, last thing we need is them deciding it for every game on the console, its bad enough that Mario kart DS is still nearly full RRP, we don't need everything like that), for a start.
Ok. I'm back in the "No sale" block then. I'm honestly fed up of Rush Style gameplay, Sonic colours DS was a struggle to get through the sheer boredom of trying to play it.
I liked sonic rush, but Rush adventures level design was meh. Sonic colours DS level design was just laughably bad.
@James2t3 It's actually 1000= £7.00 on the wii if you buy them through the channel. However, on DSiware, its 1000= £9.00. And since they shared cards, that meant store cards bough tfor using on the wii were riduculously inflated. At least, switching to a proper price value could stop price gouging.
@ThomasBW84 I hope you didn't just say "For a portable version, it's not bad". It's not the 90's anymore, portable games are completely capable of being almost exact replicas of home console titles, and there is not a single good reason for them to ever cut some content out of a handheld release. And it shouldn't be accepted simply because its a handheld game.
I know I wouldn't have accepted it if capcom removed 1/5 of the characters from super street fighter 3d because "it's a handheld". I'm certainly not accepting it from anyone else.
Go on, tell me that ones a "on rails shooter". Just be ready to be laughed out of the internet. And, for the record, most of the levels are like the one I posted, not the one you posted.

Rage.
