@Spectra_Twilight Oh I'm sure Intelligent Systems knows about the amiibo. I just wonder if theyre willing to go the extra mile for it. They most likely will but they have done stranger things in the past.
My only real concern is that the lack of power will limit the developers in their games. However lets be honest here. A nintendo dev could go back and make a gameboy game and it would still be a great game. In a day and age where power has just created more buggy and broken games im happy that Nintendo isnt trying to break limits.
@ikki5 Now you KNOW that's going to rustle some jimmies. At least take a little responsibility before you say things like that. We dont need any more comments about specs. The NX article is hard enough to read as it is!
People are pointing fingers at Nintendo when they should be pointing fingers and the actual racists here. Why are we yelling about a company when the PEOPLE who run the company are discriminating. I hope everyone involved in this was fired or was harshly scolded by these actions. Times have changed at least.
Nintendo is going through a strange period right now. They are trying to explore every territory of gaming they've ignored for the past few years while also trying to create something entirely new. I don't see this whole endeavor going far but I could be wrong.
@DThrow_UAir Never compare any company to Steam. Steam is slowly becoming a breeding ground for games like Meme run to thrive. Even EA shovels out better games!
In all honesty people have complained for days on end that Nintendo need to communicate with their fans more. Maybe this could be the start of clean communication?
I like how "exploring" means Nintendo are instantly going to take this up as their main focus now and aparently become the new EA. Or you know...we can calm down?
The amount of work that must have gone into this...really shows how much people love the plumber. Now if we could maybe replace that entire world with something out of Sunshine and added the Wind Waker lighting engine that would be swell.
@Mona-Reggie I dont mind the artstyle too much. Sure its strange but it was probably done to make the characters stand out more as they are so...abstract. Other than that the enemies designs and the locations look very much like a metroid game though. Maybe thats just me..
@Mona-Reggie I think the main problem with that is the fans are angry at Next Level Games BECAUSE the series is dormant. Its not their fault and they shouldnt be put into fire because of it. They make games...not their fault if the game they make is of a dormant franchise. They arent the ones making it dormant!
You know I think im the ONLY person who is ok with Next Level Games expanding on the combat of Metroid. Its an original idea for the series and something I perosnally am looking forward to.
@khaosklub But monopoly involves planing and strategy and using money wisely. In amiibo festival you move around and somtimes things can happen with no involvement with the player. Unity games on steam greenlight have more developed gameplay than amiibo festival! And calling it a board game is a little strange seeing as a board game involves GAMES
@khaosklub Mario party has actual GAMEPLAY. amiibo festival is a slideshow. There is 0 actual places in Amiibo festival where I saw the player being engaged by the game and requiring them to use anything more than the amiibo itself. Mario party has minature games which you can interact with. Interaction>Slideshow
@khaosklub We can say amiibo festival is a bad game because we have seen people play it and we can judge the game accordingly. We can claim its bad because we KNOW what the gameplay is.
Fan expectation and Nintendo's development teams will probably never mix together. What we want and what we get in the end are most likely going to be 2 different things and whether or not the game we get deserves to be criticized should be (in my opinion) on the game itself and how it plays instead of it being something we never wanted. Some of the best Nintendo titles are made without us wanting it, however those title are either new IPs or based on already popular and "living" series.
@Junkface Online play is confirmed to not be coming to the game on day 1. However it has been stated that the development team will think about adding it post launch if the game does well enough.
After seeing it live at the Treehouse I can confirm that Amiibo Festival has the same level of gameplay as a power point presentation. Well done developers! (Now back to splatoon)
So this means the smash ballot will have multiple winners? I'm assuming it will go in a 1st, 2nd and 3rd sort of way which would be lovely for the fans. Now a update on the ballot would be LOVELY.
Regardless I'm happy that the team are fixing this issue as soon as they could. Probably a technical issue at the most that shouldn't take too long to fix. The fact that it postponed the Splatfest is a little disappointing but at least we get a working one. Best part is that we probably wont get this again!

Re: How Fire Emblem amiibo Interact with Fates
@Artwark What do you mean by that?
Re: How Fire Emblem amiibo Interact with Fates
@Spectra_Twilight Super Paper Mario. That game was "different" in so many ways.
Re: How Fire Emblem amiibo Interact with Fates
@TeeJay I really lIke your attention to detail in this article.

@TwilightAngel I'm sure they will be restocked soon....right? I mean look at how quickly they got to Marth. And then none of the others.
Re: How Fire Emblem amiibo Interact with Fates
Nice callback. Now what I wonder is if Roy will be patched into the game after his amiibo releases.

@VeeFlamesNL Myamoto has said that if the game has a large enough install base to warrant it he will update Star Fox with a multiplayer mode.

Id rather we get game leaks than spec leaks.
Re: Hands On: Blast Ball Brings Crude Button Mashing and is a Poor Advert for Metroid Prime: Federation Force
I'm starting to realize why this was relegated to a tutorial. Here's hoping the actual reason we buy this game is good.
Re: Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Exposé Reveals Torrid State Of Affairs At Nintendo Software Technology

Re: Reaction: The Concept of eShop 'Early Access' is Both Exciting and Slightly Terrifying
Most Early Acesses games are nowhere near as polished as Splatoon was day 1. If Nintendo did things like that...I might not be too bad with this

Re: Pokémon Shuffle is Heading to Android and iOS, to the Surprise of No-One
I will admit...I found shuffle fairly fun for a f2p game. The mechanics were solid and they give out free gifts every 2 minutes in my case.
