@Mega719 but it IS a "slight upgrade", I agree with @Beetlejuice its a revision of an existing system rather than a whole new model. The added benefits are very small, new nipple stick (woo), faster processor so webpages load quicker and downloads are faster (big deal), improved graphics well not 'that' improved really (not like next gen). System specific game(s) which the rest of us can't play unless we buy the 'new' version 3DS... to answer the original question 'Yes it does alienate existing customers'. So what makes it worth upgrading? Not alot IMHO.

Not worth the upgrade IMHO. I think it's pretty bad form from Ninty giving us a half-way model to the next gen 3DS, and bit of a marketing ploy to make fans spend more money for which frankly isn't that much.

Is this demo multiplayer?

Have you seen how much GAME charge for pre-owned games?!! They're often not much cheaper than new games. It's a racket I tell you. Just keep going to the CEX shop.

My favourite PKMN clone for Android is CodeMon which is a unique synthesis of the Barcode Battler and Pokemon but yet is quite different, it doesn't include any RPG element but is a pure battling platform. It's definitely worth checking out tho.

Eco Spirits on the other hand just looks totally lame - I think they should just give it up and play PKMN instead.

No serious gamer plays games on phones with on-screen controls, if they get a taste for what Ninty can offer then p'haps they'll get the real deal, but I doubt it. However expensive consoles/games seem to be on the way out, now is the day of the touchscreen tabby with very cheap/free to play games - and a generation of lame-gamers.

If pictures are the problem then surely just disable the sharing of photos in the App, don't turn the whole damn thing off. This has kinda spoilt it for everyone now. I fully understand the need to protect young people and applaud that, but this is just plane over-kill in my book. Oh well!

@LunaticPandora in fairness the only reason I brought from GAME is because a m8 works there - I wouldn't have bothered if he didn't (probably won't in spite of that) and I probably won't bother pre-ordering anything again anyway.

GAME cannot claim the moral high ground on the basis that they only released it earlier than scheduled because other retailers did - if they had stuck to their guns and honoured the world-wide release date then 'maybe' they would have had a leg to stand on. This just makes them look like hypocrites, complaining about others when they did it themselves. Shame on them. I can see their concerns because no one will want to pre-order from them anymore if it's going to be available elsewhere earlier and cheaper. I admit I pre-ordered my Yveltel Red 3DS XL from GAME, but afterwards I realised I payed £30 more for it. I also pre-ordered Pokémon X Digital Download through GAME Online and got my free copy of Pokédex 3D Pro, but my 'loyalty points' still didn't make much difference to the overall cost. I'm sorry GAME but I probably won't be buying any more games/consoles through your retailers.
