So shallow characters, flimsy world building but deep combat system. Definitely skipping this one...

@Dog sorry i should have explained I come from switzerland. Public university here costs around 1000$ equivalent per year. This fee can be waived for good reasons (limited income, etc.). Parents are obligated to pay for the fees and basic needs, as long as they can afford it and as long as the kid doesn’t have a formation or around 25yo (need to check that part). In case there are no parents, no money, or any other reason, social security kicks in, or the kid can get a state sponsored scholarship. No need to repay these. So it’s not free, but no need to sell a kidney.
The logic is, these kids will give back way more money than what they cost.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I was lucky enough to have a very good chiropractor living next to me who thought me how to correctly stretch my hands (and my back) twice a day every day, and stretch during long gaming sessions. Helped me avoid it for now. Took me an inflammation of both wrists and an incapacity to play games for a week to make me take things seriously. Back pain is no joke either.

Are they still producing the physical version? Because otherwise the digital version was available longer the physical, so it’s not a disadvantage, just the end of a privilege the digital version provided over the physical one.

@TG16_IS_BAE nope, a timelapse usually has a “Static” object with minimal or very precise camera movement. Imagine the set “building itself” for example, with the camera slowly moving from one side to the other. You usually use pictures and not videos for that. It’s a technical term in photography, so it has a pretty precise definition.

That’s just a sped-up video, not a timelapse...

@JR150 there are multiple examples of this working. The semi apology from blizzard was only thanks to those protests. Otherwise blizzard hong kong would still be writing pro CCP propaganda on their social media and the protester wouldn’t have gotten his prize money.

You’re not giving devs a hard time, they get their check, go to work (if they still have it). It’s the guys upstairs that have their bank account directly linked to sales numbers.

I agree the devs made a great game and it’s killing me not to play it on the switch or any of my consoles. And I won’t criticise people for playing it.

But not playing/buying the game is a measured response, it’s non aggressive and can be very effective. Don’t believe the BS about « cancel culture ».

But there need to be red lines, and blizzard crossed a lot of them.

@the4seer i’ve been working from home for a while. It took me a few weeks to get the hang of it but now I’m considerably more effective than in the the office.

Yeah I might be biased for working as software dev... but it sounds like VPs giving excuses.

@hobbitgamer software devs don’t work on excel sheets, we have tons of tools and resources to work that don’t require physical presence. Give it a month or two and things should be going just as smoothly as before...

Oh please, home office wields great results, they’re trying to shift blame for having a slow year...
