I only own a few of these but, in fairness, I do own Shovel Knight and Fast RMX on Wii U. Golf Story not being on here is hard to believe. It is one of the most original and enjoyable games of the last year, eshop or otherwise.
I was literally just complaining to my brother last night because the joystick is incredibly unresponsive in games like Rocket League. I almost never use it for games like that, but it was still upsetting that it had such HUGE lag in the inputs. Hopefully this fixes it.
@Aurumonado I have iBuffalo wired controllers and they are excellent. The buttons are slightly louder when you press them that a real snes pad, but they are great and a great value.
Played it last night a couple of times... Probably won't play it again. I still haven't found a reason to revisit this game in months. My 8 year old son has recently gotten into it again though, and that makes me happy. I feel like this game was more about passing the baton to the next generation of Mario fans. I know it had some some fun nods for the older Mario fans, but this game never felt like it was aimed at me for some reason.
My little girl loves Paw Patrol. Her birthday is in October, so this could be a nice easy birthday present. The best part is that I don't have to find a place for it in the house like the rest of her toys.
I am at a point right now where for the first time I am getting a bit bored with my Switch. I don't want to be, and I know any console will go through ebbs and flows, but all that I am playing right now is Enter the Gungeon and Rocket League. The only games that I could see myself buying in the next 6 months (that I know or suspect will be out in that period) are as follows: XC2 Project Octopath Traveler DLC for Mario + Rabbids
Honestly my wallet can use the break, but it does feel ilke Nintendo fired all their guns and I'm not sure what their 2018 strategy is quite yet...
I enjoyed this as a kid on the SNES. I went back and played it on my Raspberry Pi and it was... not as good as I remembered it being. Maybe the NEO-GEO version was better, but from the looks of the video I don't think so. Pass for me.
That’s really cool that they took the suggestions to heart. I really enjoyed the demo and have been excited about this game since the initial reveal a year ago.
@FUZE4SWITCH
Is that offer to donate at least $14 and get a copy at launch legit?
My 8 year old son is extremely creative and has expressed a lot of interest in this game.
If I read that correctly, I will be donating immediately.
Comes out just before my son's 9th birthday. Between him and my other two kids, I'm sure this will get a lot of good use. I do worry about its durability though...
Not even in my top 5. I beat it, got 600 stars but never enjoyed it, except for brief moments that made me remember better Mario games. I feel this game was created to create new fans among very young gamers. While that is smart for them business-wise, it just didn’t do it for me as a lifelong gamer and Mario fan. 1. Mario 64 2. Mario Galaxy 2 3. Super Mario World 4. Super Mario 3 5. Super Mario Galaxy
Wow... all that waiting, and what we get is a bunch of ports of Wii U and older games. No Online Service discussion, no VC, no Metroid info.
The highlight for me was the Mario+Rabbids DLC update. Did they say when it comes out?
I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I finally beat the first floor after 20+ attempts. I think ultimately I’m not a huge fan of roguelike level design. It is undeniably fun, but I wish the co-op mode was available without beating the entire game, which I don’t think I will ever accomplish.
@Whopper744 Have you gone back through worlds 1-3 to get a "PERFECT" score yet? Also, do all of the Challenge battles to earn a lot of Power Orbs so you can upgrade your Skill Trees and coins so you can have the best weapons. It takes some time but it is fun and it makes those battles slightly more possible.
I saw a huge improvement. Before, anything off in the distance beyond would be just a bunch of solid colored lines stacked on top of each other. Now it has been smoothed out. I don't notice much difference now between this and the XBox One version I used to play in the Pre-Switch days.
I played it for a few hours last night. I'm stuck in a frustrating way during the second wave of quests. I just had a thought as I'm sitting here at work, but it will have to wait until I get home. Why didn't I bring it with me to work today???
I might be the only one who was very disappointed with the length and scope of the game. I beat it in 12 hours with no difficulty at all, then spent another 18 hours getting to 600 moons. I really don’t ever plan to play it again. The more I think about it, I don’t even think it would be in my top 5 Mario games of all time. I do hope they add to it, as the game itself was a little light on content, IMHO.
@BornInNorway81 Exactly the same. Also, it is a blast. I was getting pretty good, but then Zelda happened, so I'll be rusty as heck when I pick this up again.
My wife was just saying earlier this week that she wished Animal Crossing was on the Switch. I told her about this game but wasn't sure she would like it since it looked more like Harvest Moon than Animal Crossing. She played it for 5 hours straight (she is not a gamer at all) and now I'm worried I won't ever get to play the Switch again. 😜
I like this one more than number 3 as most of the games can be played 2 player, so me and my wife can play it together. Super fun games. Especially Fibbage.
I would prefer reviews of everything but NeoGeo games for a while. I value your opinions on games and would rather see those instead of reviews of 20+ year old games on here. That's just my opinion though.
@MyNameIsRandy I have Pack 3 and only one game is playable with 2 people. Pack 1 has You Don't Know Jack which can even be played 1 player. I don't know anything else about the rest of the games on Pack 1&2. Pack 3 is amazing with 3+ people though.
@Zingo It's not much for presentation, but it is one of the most addictive puzzle games I have ever played. I love Tetris, Sudoku, Magical Drop, so if you like that type of game I recommend giving it a try.

Re: Video: Koei Tecmo Unleashes New Attack On Titan 2 Trailers
I must be missing something.
Hacking a bunch of slow naked giants to pieces doesn’t sound terribly fun to me.
But, to each his own.

Re: Ubisoft Is the Leading Third-Party Publisher on Nintendo Switch
That is one of my favorite games on the system. I’m excited for the new story DLC. 😁
Re: Review: The Longest Five Minutes (Switch)
I’ve also been looking forward to this one. Too bad it is priced terribly high...
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Rocket League and Enter the Gungeon
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For February And March
If it was 1/2 price, I would pick up The Longest 5 Minutes.
Everything else... pass

Great news all around. XC2 coming on strong too. I need to pick that up one of these days.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2018
Only Project Octopath is appealing to me from that list. MP4 also, but that’s not going to be a 2018 game.
Re: Enter The Gungeon Just Received A New Update
My game crashes fairly often. Usually after I have already died, so it’s never been a big deal. But this is a much appreciated update to a great game.

Re: Nintendo Reveals The Top 30 Best Selling Digital Games On Switch In 2017
I’m very surprised that Golf Story isn’t on there, with how long it was top 3...
Also, Levels+ at number 30 in Japan!
I might be the only one in the west who feels this way , but I love that game!

Re: Review: Super Mario Odyssey (Switch)
Mine came a day early. Thanks, Amazon!
The only problem is that I have to fight for play time on the switch with my wife.

Re: Win an Exclusive Death Squared Switch Dock & Game! - US Only
This game kicks butt. I hope the price cut causes a well deserved bump up in the eshop charts.
Re: Golf Story Will Swing Into Action This Week on the Switch eShop
I have been waiting very impatiently for this game since it was first teased a few months back. Super stoked to pick it up. Day 1 for sure.
Re: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is Already the Top Selling Third-Party Switch Game
I own it and love it. It's fun and challenging. Here's hoping it becomes a new franchise.
Re: Skyrim Begins Its Switch Adventure on 17th November

I'm in the same boat. BOTW converted me to open world epics, so I have been awaiting this game's arrival for months.

First comment ever, not that anyone cares. 😜
I'll give it a go. I wasn't terribly impressed with the original demo in March, but this has me excited.
