Re: Happy 124th Birthday, Nintendo

JuanitoShet

Yes! 124 years STRONG, baby! Here's to the Wii U becoming a major success, that the 3DS keeps selling as well as it does, and that Nintendo is around as long as the human race is!

Feliz Cumpleanos, Nintendo! :B

Re: Junichi Masuda Confirms That the Pokémon X & Y Overworld is 2D Only

JuanitoShet

I don't mind jt. It's surprises me that so many people once said that they didn't care for the 3D effect, only to now have some of those same people say that they love the effect and that Nintendo & GameFreak are now "abandoning" it simply because it isn't fully implented in ONE title.

I love the 3D effect myself, but if the game is better without it, then that's a tiny sacrifice I have no problem with. :B

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

JuanitoShet

Now on-topic, I only own a PlayStation 3. No Wii U, no 360. So if I wanted the game, I'd save up and purchase it on that platform if I really wanted it. But to be honest, Grand Theft Auto 4 was a disappointment (in my opinion, of course); it tried to be too realistic for my taste. I prefer the older, more classic titles, such as Vice City, Liberty City Stories & San Andreas.

I own all of those titles on various consoles, so if I want a GTA fix, I'll get it through there.

@Phantom_R Wooow. Your "IQ is a little high", huh? I'll borrow one of Damien's lines, and tell YOU to "get off your high horse." :B

Tastes in entertainment vary. I understand that the game is not for you, but there's no need to come across as a pompous smart-donkey. Just sayn

Re: Wii Sports Club Takes The Competition Online With HD Visuals And Wii MotionPlus Support

JuanitoShet

$10 per sport is "too expensive"? They're letting you CHOOSE what bits of the title you want, they're not MAKING you buy all of them! They're giving you the choice to decide with your wallet, and variety in choice is what Nintendo's all about! (Look at the 3DS models, for example.)

Furthermore, the games will be enhanced with HD visuals, and the gameplay improved. You'll be able to play online. They have to gain revenue to pay for keeping those servers running, and for all of the enhancements they're performing.

I say it's a great moge. Nintn

Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. (Wii U eShop / NES)

JuanitoShet

I spent many, many hours playing this as a toddler alone, as well as with my family.

And then I go older, and I spent many, many hours playing thus alone and with family.

And now I have it for the Game Boy Color (Super Mario Bros. Deluxe), and I play it alone, but I love it every bit as much as I always have. It was one of my first few games, and I'd score it 10/10, simply because it's a Nintendo Masterpiece.

Long live Super Mario.

Re: Capcom Expects A Significant Decline in Packaged Games Come 2017

JuanitoShet

Well, that's Capcom's case. They have a plan, and they're sticking with it. If they feel it's what's best for business, then they shouod go ahead with it.

Though they do have some of their fanbases's disapproval, it seems. I've never been a close Capcom follower, so this doesn't really have any importance to me.

Re: Over 61% of Q2 Game Sales in the U.S. Were From Download Products

JuanitoShet

This is pretty awesome; despite the fact that I'd MUFH rather have a physical copy if my software (I only have a small handful of digital titles, as opposed to about 60 physical discs/cartridges), the fact that the digital world is doing well is great news to me. In the end, I'm a supporter of both mediums, simply because I believe (just like Nintendo does) that the consumer should have more than one option when it comes to decidinflg on how they would like to own their product.

Re: Say Hello To The Nintendo 2DS - A 3DS without 3D

JuanitoShet

@feelthesarcasm Yeah, and those people are mistaken for thinking so. The Nintendo DS didn't become the best-selling handheld console because it DIDN'T appeal to children; people need to understand that, in actuality, children make up a huge portion of the gaming market.

Re: Say Hello To The Nintendo 2DS - A 3DS without 3D

JuanitoShet

@Archgamer YES, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, FREAKIN' THANK YOU! FINALLY someone who understands the business logic behind this new 3DS model!

I don't like resorting to insults when it comes to replying to people in comments, but it's just absolutely atrocious that people can't see the ingenious strategy that Nintendo has come up with.

Once again, I'm glad to see there's someone else who understands that Nintendo knows what's good for business. :B

Re: Say Hello To The Nintendo 2DS - A 3DS without 3D

JuanitoShet

@WaveBoy Well, #1, if you puked for 5 hours, you'd most likely die.

#2 The commercial is informative: it states absolutely EVERYTHING you need to know about the system. It serves it's purpose well, so HOW is it a bad commercial? Simple: it's not.

#3 If you had actually PAYED attention to the video, you'd know that it states that the 2DS is COMPLETELY compatible with all 3DS, eShop, DSi & Nintendo DS games. So how is it's library smaller, exactly? Simple answer: IT'S NOT.

Understand that this console is NOT aimed at you.

Re: Say Hello To The Nintendo 2DS - A 3DS without 3D

JuanitoShet

My argument aside...

I DO agree that it looks weird as hell. I've definitely never seen anything that resembles the 2DS's design. I like it, and I also don't. One thing's for sure, though: I'd like to play on this a few times, just to know how it feels ergonomically. :B

Also... wow. I still can't understand how people don't understand that this 2DS is just another option. And that it was designed for kids, and to get 3DS sales in North America & Europe to increase. Wake up, people, come on. Why are you all so quick to anger over such smart business decisions? :B

Re: Say Hello To The Nintendo 2DS - A 3DS without 3D

JuanitoShet

I like how about 90% of the people in this comments section (including all the comments sections on all other gaming websites, as well) complain, and whine and cry about how this new 2DS is an atrocity of a console that shouldn't exist...

Because those people are apparently unable to understand that this console is NOT for them. AND that no one's forcing them to buy it. AND that the original 3DS & 3DS XL are still out there, available for purchase.

The 2DS is aimed at KIDS, people! KIDS! Most of us on this website are NOT kids! Get your acts together! There's a reason that Nintendo made this new version of the 3DS, and that's because it knows a part of their audience, and it knows that this said part doesn't use the 3D effect, and that they'd like a cheaper console.

Nintendo is doing what's RIGHT for business. It's why they've been around so long. All you need to do is UNDERSTAND that this console is for the younger audience, and NOT for YOU.
Please watch the insults, they are not necessary to make your argument — TBD

Re: Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U eShop)

JuanitoShet

I've only ever played the demo of the original on the Wii, and it's button-mashing is certainly not satisfying. Like said in the article, it IS mindless fun; there's not much to get from this series, since all you do ia move arouns and mash a button.

So these games aren't for everyone. I say you should just stick with the original core Pokémon games instead, unless you can find this for a cheaper price than the standard $60.
