Re: Cast Your Gaze Over These Rare 3DS Models

JuanitoShet

These are very nice. But my Legend of Zelda Edition 3DS is all I'll ever need~

Until I decided to upgrade to a 3DS XL somewhere down the line, which won't be any time soon, I'd say. And it'd also be a limited-edition model.

Re: Feature: Why I Love Import Gaming

JuanitoShet

@Yorumi Do it, you won't regret it! I'm taking a Japanese course at the moment (just got done with the first, actually) and I'm only learning it out of the desire to be trilingual. But being able to read content from imported games is also one of those big personal bonuses.

Honestly though, Japanese is a lot of fun. At least, up until you get to learing the Kanji - I've only seen a small handful of the thousands that are used, but it's a challenge to be had for sure.

I own an original copy for my Sega Genesis (model 3). I haven't played it in forever simply because the video cable(s) I have don't work. Such a shame.

I actually think this title isn't half-bad. Not the best by any means, but not as bad as the article makes it out to be. I've never actually passed the whole game (I'd get my donkey handed to me) on the Genesis version though.

Re: Soapbox: Even With The Arrival Of PS4 And Xbox One, I'd Still Pick The Wii U

JuanitoShet

I think Need For Speed: Rivals looks INSANELY fun. Granted, I've yet to even see a PlayStation 4 console in actuality - much less play one - so I can't really be one to judge just yet.

Also, I thank you for sharing your Xbox website. Though Microsoft is probably my least favorite of the "the three big ones", it's nice to know you guys have all three companies covered in individual sites. I really enjoy all of your articles.

Re: Super Mario 3D World Struggles Against PS4 Titles in UK Charts

JuanitoShet

@MadAussieBloke Oh please, as if Nintendo would put away their money-making mascot for two decades! What world are you living in which would make you think they'd ever do such thing? (Though to be honest, a little break from Mario would be nice after Mario Kart 8 is out.)

Anyway, there's no surprise here. Mario can't do it all alone, especially not in Europe, where other consoles & titles have shown they have more brand power than Nintendo.

Re: PS4 and Xbox One Surpass Wii U Lifetime Sales in the UK

JuanitoShet

@Peach64 "Arrogant"? What did Nintendo do that makes them so "arrogant"? They're a business that tries do to their best to turn a profit every day of the year. Have they made mistakes? Sure they have! But you can't blame them for trying to keep using the Wii brand to continue their former success. It's not about arrogance, it's about business.

Re: Poll: Nintendo and the Wii U Fight For Your Attention in This Busiest of Gaming Months

JuanitoShet

Super Mario 3D World will definitely sell some systems, I'm sure, but Mario can't do it alone. It was proven with the release of New Super Mario Bros. U, and I'm pretty confident it'll be proven again with 3D World.

They need to keep the games coming. If they don't, the little momentum that Mario's brought to the console will be lost.

I'm doing my best to stay optimistic for the console.

Re: Review: Senran Kagura Burst (3DS eShop)

While I do get sick and tired sometimes of all the fan-service games like these tend to include, I won't mind it if the game is good. Some can actually balance all of that crap (Dead or Alive comes to mind, though they're not games of the same genre) and others exploit it to the point in which it just annoys the crap out of me and makes me want to stop playing the game.

'Cause seriously, I know it's just a ploy to get people to buy their game by controlling their inner pants, but come on, it's ridiculous sometimes.

Re: Soapbox: Zelda's Magic Creates A Link Between Generations

I get a similar thrill when I share games with my little sister — though this little bond is brotherly and not from parent-to-child — and it's great to know that she also loves pretty much all of the games that I used to play 10 years ago. It really is a special thing.

Re: Former Video Game Destination Blockbuster Video Closes Its Doors In The US

JuanitoShet

I don't remember much about going to BlockBuster stores. Over 10 years ago, there was one here in my local area (I live in Mexico), but it was closed about that long ago, at least. It was convenient having a nearby store that you could rent media from, but it went out of business too and shut down.

Oh well though. I have my swapmeets around me. I don't really need any stores.
