Re: Sega Reflects On Sonic Mania, Says It Was A Defining Moment For The Blue Blur

@thinkhector Music is subjective, but personally I think the prototype tracks are all terrible, even in their original states. 2D Sonic sounds much better than this usually. Sonic 1, 2, CD and the Advance trilogy blow the Sonic 3 prototype tracks out of the water. Heck even Sonic 4 has better music. I was hoping they'd take Sonic 3D blast music to replace the Sonic 3 music, but that was wishful thinking

I just wish they could make other Sonic games as polished as Mania. With Whitehead, Taxman and the rest, they could easily replicate Mania's success if you give them time. Origins is great, but it should have been more, it should have been an easy homerun with Knuckles in Sonic CD, character sprite select for a consistant experience in all the games, Amy playable, good new music for Sonic 3, etc.

Re: Poll: Does Nintendo Really Need To Release Mother 3 In The West Anymore?

Isaix

Considering how easily people on the Internet are offended these days. I can totally understand why Nintendo don't want to release a translated Mother 3. Just play the translated rom and if you want to support Mother 3, just support the rest of the series. Buy Earthbound, Earthbound Beginning Smash bros and other Mother related stuff officially released by Nintendo

Re: Star Fox Character Designer Wants Nintendo To Port The Wii U Entry To Switch

Isaix

@Dragontaur Yeah Ideally every past Nintendo games should be on their latest consoles imidiatly at launch and not 5 years down the line. It's just that in the case of Star Fox Zero, I don't see why you'd be hype to play it. If they port the game, sure go ahead and buy it if you want, but right now 64 is on Switch and it's a superiour game. Zero is pretty much an inferior remake of 64 with some cool ideas here and there like the chicken walker, but overall it the exact same game, but not as fun to play, so why do you yearn to play it?

Re: AM2R Creator Isn't A Fan Of Metroid Dread's E.M.M.I. Encounters

Isaix

I like the concept of the EMMI, but autosave removes all the tension. Even if I die, I'm repawning a few screens aways and get to try again immidiatly, they don't scare me at all. On the other hand without autosave, it would be super annoying to get kick back to the save station considering how fast they are and most players won't immidiatly figure out how to deal with them.

So all in all they're an enjoyable encounter I guess, but it doesn't work as well as it should. They're definitly not as great as SA-X.

Re: Jump Force Deluxe Edition To Be Removed From Switch eShop, Online Services Will Be Shut Down

Isaix

@Snatcher To me most 3D fighting games have the same problem where characters all feel the same. In Street Fight characters have different frame data and stuff and it matters, but in Jump force punching seem the same to me for every character. A lot of specials are either beams or charging towards the opponent. In Street Fight Ryu and Sagat both have a uppercut and a similar projectile, but there are a lot of nuances to make the two feel completly different, but I don't feel any of that in Jump Force and that's why the game failed I think

Re: Poll: What's The Best Dragon Quest Game?

Isaix

I've only played 11, so I can't rate the entire series yet. They should rerelease all the other numbered enteries.

I tried to play DQ3 on Switch, but either the framerate or simply the way the screen moves is not fluid, it hurts my eyes and makes me dizzy. It's a terrible, unplayable port to me.
