Nintendo has shared a brand new track from the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 OST and its title might be familiar if you're a fan of the series.
Titled 'You Will Know Our Names - Finale', the track will play when you encounter unique monsters as you traverse the land of Aionios. Of course, if you've played the first Xenoblade Chronicles or its Definitive Edition, you'll know that the debut game has its own track also called 'You Will Know Our Names' that plays during similar scenarios.
Coincidence? We think not. Check it out:
Judging from the music itself, it seems the only similarity between the two tracks is the choice of title; you can listen to the original via the video below. If we're being completely honest, the new track isn't quite as epic as its counterpart in Xenoblade Chronicles, but it comes mighty close. Regardless, it's getting us seriously pumped to play the game on July 29th and we're just willing the next few weeks to fly by!
An extra bit of trivia which we know at least one of you asked for is that the original 'You Will Know Our Names' track appeared in both Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS along with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Switch. Hey, maybe Sakurai will consider adding this new track at some point down the line if he ever gets bored..? We can dream.

Awesome song. Really want to know when the EU preorders are coming for the CE. Takes to damn long...
They should have called it "You will remember our names" or something to keep it in line with "You will know our names" from XC1 and "You will recall our names" from XC2
Cannot wait for the game, these music previews are getting me seriously amped up. Been listening it on loop for an hour now. Here's hoping there is a Cd release of the OST like for the previous games too!
The track being called "you will know our names - finale" makes me think there will be "you will recall our names - finale" too, for when you are in the Agnus areas of the game. Perhaps a third one for late game areas too, thats a mix of the two songs?
Has there been any news yet on a physical or digital release of the OST?

@Tremblucay The physical soundtrack for 2 wasn't announced until well after the game released, so my guess is it'll be the same situation here. I honestly kind of hope they hold out until after the story expansion so the new tracks for that can be included as well. I've got the soundtracks for all three games released so far, but it's weird not having Torna with them. That being said, it'll be a day-one buy for me regardless.
It's quite epic, but why call it You Will Know Our Names if it's not a remix. Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe the full song is a remix?

A very good track, but I also agree that the original You Will Know Our Names is better.

While the original Xenoblade has my least favorite OST in the series overall, none of the sequels have every topped its unique monster theme. It's even one of the few tracks that, IMO, was better in the original versus DE (the remix adds too many instruments and lacks the aggression of the original).
Uncontrollable from XCX is a very close second, though.

@ReaperMelia I am lucky enough to have the special edition 6x CD soundtrack, which is my favourite OST of all time. I will buy this one in a heartbeat because I already know it will be great. Really like this battle theme already.
