Re: Road Redemption Is The Next Best Thing To Road Rash, And It's Out On Switch Now

HugoStiglitz_420

@ThomasS As if I'm the only guy saying anything positive about it - https://store.steampowered.com/app/300380/Road_Redemption/

Not to mention, you don't even need to hardly scroll up this page to find a few other people that actually have played it and love it like I do, so no, it's not just IGN or some guy with 420 in his name.

If you really would make that stupid of an implication to begin with, it's obvious you already had your mind made up about the game beforehand. You clearly WANT to dislike this game, because if you were actually reasonable or objective, you wouldn't focus solely on one review, especially not one from IGN. Focusing solely on game "journalist" reviews is already dumb enough, but you wanted to take it to an even more idiotic level apparently. Bravo!

Re: Here's How Voice Chat Works In Fortnite On Nintendo Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

@Agramonte Fair enough. The only bit I disagreed with it the "license whatever Epic is using" part. Epic isn't doing anything that doesn't already exist, they're just oddly the only game to be allowed to do it on Switch for whatever reason.

I do see what your saying about needing a centralized platform that all dev's can use, but the problem with that is it would have to be facilitated by Nintendo, and as we've already seen, they're pretty incompetent when it comes to anything involving online gaming so I doubt that would work out better than the wild wild west as you call it with each developer implementing their own in game voice chat the Fortnite has.

Also like I said, I have my doubts Nintendo really wants voice chat in many games. Opening up voice chat opens up the community to a lot of issues they might not want to deal with, especially considering they want to be the console parents buy for their kids. Having open voice chat can complicate that if it hasn't already with fortnite. As you know, gamers can be pretty "toxic".

Re: Video: Here's How Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy On Switch Compares To Other Versions

HugoStiglitz_420

@Blizzia Well of course viewing distance does matter. I had a 32" TV for a long time and recently switched to a 50". Frankly, for 1080p, 32" may be fine but for 4k it's not because it's sort of a waste of money at that point. Pixel density is already really high even on a 4k 50" but at 32", you'd have to be sitting 3 feet away to really see any benefit, and eitherway it still would never be as pronounced.

Now if you're playing 1080p or below games, it doesn't really matter, but I play a mix of stuff so I do really prefer the 50". It did take about a week to really get used to. At first I thought it might be too big but it's actually perfect for where I sit.

Re: Video: Here's How Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy On Switch Compares To Other Versions

HugoStiglitz_420

@Anti-Matter I can totally understand that as someone who waited to buy RE Revelations 2 on the Vita rather than PS4. It does depend on the game though but sometimes portability makes a giant difference. Having the best version of a game sometimes matters to me too (the main reason I have a PS4 Pro) so that's why sometimes I buy games on PS4 or PC and Switch.

Like Wolfenstein II I have on PS4/Switch and Doom I have on all 3 but don't really play the PS4 or PC versions anymore even though they're vastly superior (much better graphics, much better framerate, and Snap Map is actually epic IMO), I just have more fun playing on the go and already have done 2 playthroughs on Switch alone and over 60 hours of gameplay (7 playthroughs total across all 3 versions)

It's actually a dilemma I have with Doom Eternal. I'm having a hard time picking what version to get. I do have a PC that's good enough to run Doom on ultra settings, which looks A LOT better than even the PS4 Pro version, and I do have a nice 4k TV, but I also know I'm going to be REALLY tempted with the Switch version to do replays of Eternal while on the go. First world problems eh?

Re: Panic Button Dreams Of Porting Horizon Zero Dawn To Nintendo Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

@Callmegil I really disagree. Rockstar's biggest weakness is its gameplay in certain areas

I do agree, GTA V single player is excellent. It's cinematic presentation is really good, it's a lot of fun, and its driving is also stellar and better than many racing games. However at times it feels very clunky. Especially in third person. There's a weighty feeling to characters that often doesn't feel right and often feels disconnected from your inputs. There's also a good amount of input lag even on PC. The shooting as well lags quite far behind even the average third person shooter frankly, thought it's definitely not terrible either. It just never feels as fluid or competent as many other games in the genre and I am incapable of ignoring that tbh.

Anytime a game has a lock on aiming system enabled by default, that's a bad sign that even the developers don't have much faith in how their game plays. But still, GTA V plays like an absolute dream compared to RDR 2 and it is a great game, but gameplay is the biggest area Rockstar can improve its games besides not using egregious microtransactions.

Re: Panic Button Dreams Of Porting Horizon Zero Dawn To Nintendo Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

@sanderev I highly, highly disagree but I respect your opinion. Breath of the Wild is an excellent game obviously and its combat is not bad, I just feel that Horizon's combat is a lot better and more satisfying personally.

That being said, I've not played a Zelda game since Ocarina of Time 20 years ago so I may be coming at this from a different mindset.

Re: Road Redemption Is The Next Best Thing To Road Rash, And It's Out On Switch Now

HugoStiglitz_420

LMFAO I just left a comment on another article saying how awesome it would be if they ported this game to Switch. I had no idea they had plans to do this.

This is why I try to check to see what's coming out on Switch from time to time, only this game has no shown up on a single list I've checked. Worst of all not even on Nintendo's coming soon tab on the store. Shame on everyone for ignoring this insanely fun game.

I'm buying it right now

Re: Feature: Port Masters Virtuos On Bringing Dark Souls: Remastered To Switch And Future Projects

HugoStiglitz_420

@Belatarr that's what I thought, but then I realized it could just be the game itself. Have you compared the switch version to any other versions? Because I'm pretty sure the original Dark Souls doesn't have the greatest audio either. At first I thought the audio was compressed but then I realized it might just be the sound defects themselves are kind of poor quality as they kind of are and the other Souls games I've played

Re: Gear.Club Unlimited 2 Revealed Exclusively For Nintendo Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

I've been dying for a realistic racing game on the Switch but tbh this isn't the one I was hoping for. From what I saw and read the first one was bad. Or at least bad by my standards. I'm extremely picky when it comes to racing games since I have played so many and it's really my favorite genre. Well, sim racing is, I only sort of like arcade racing games, therein lies the problem with this one beyond the ridiculous price tag the first one held

Re: Panic Button Dreams Of Porting Horizon Zero Dawn To Nintendo Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

@Fight_Teza_Fight exactly. The type of people that say things like that are obvious fanboys. It's clear they've never played these games.

The idea of linear or scripted being a bad thing is beyond ridiculous besides. Needing everything to be interactive is equally ridiculous. Most games with that kind of freedom have to rely on it because everything else is so weak.

What Sony games lack in sandbox elements are made up by being great at everything they set out to do. Can't say that about Nintendo. Nintendo games often have half assed elements, and it's not gameplay, but the combat is also not always the best either.

And not every game has to be all about the gameplay and not every game has to be all about the presentation and combat either. That's what's great about owning both consoles, you get the best of both worlds

How Nintendo fanboys can be happy with gameplay alone is beyond me. It's not 1989. We can do more than just gameplay these days

Re: Video: Here's How Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy On Switch Compares To Other Versions

HugoStiglitz_420

@Blizzia That is simply false though. Digital Foundry has already pointed out there's a large amount of effects missing and they all play a big part in the visual make up of the game. To say they look the same, you're fooling yourself.

I could see if you said Wolfenstein II looks the same because the Switch version pretty much only has lower resolution while everything else is left intact, but Crash looks nothing like it does on PS4. It looks more like a PS3 Jak and Daxter HD remaster than it does like the N Sane trilogy on PS4.

Re: Here's How Voice Chat Works In Fortnite On Nintendo Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

@Agramonte Dude LOL Epic isn't using anything special. Most multiplayer games have voice chat built into them. Switch doesn't need anything special, the developers need to add voice chat into their game.

Destiny has the same problem. It's not that they can't do voice chat, it's that they choose not to because Keemstar and the F@G scared bungie away from doing public voice chat by trolling the living hell out of everyone. (seriously, they even convinced a kid his xbox was going to explode)

Re: Rumour: Even More Evidence For Fortnite On Switch Arrives In New eShop Server Datamine

HugoStiglitz_420

@N8tiveT3ch Nooo lol that's not what I meant AT ALL. You said you like to play story based games, and I asked why nintendo because Nintendo tends to be weak when it comes to the story in their games. Zelda and Mario are brilliant games, but the stories are almost inconsequential to why they are great.

As somebody who REALLY cares about the story in games and gets a lot of enjoyment from even games that arguably have too many cutscenes like the Order 1886 or MGS 4, it bums me out sometimes that Zelda IMO could've been so much better if more effort was put into the story and its presentation. I went from playing Zelda for several months to God of War and Detroit and almost forgot how much better games are when the story is great.

So what I should've said is, why'd you get a nintendo instead of a PS4 then?

Re: Video: Check Out Nine Whole Minutes Of Wolfenstein II Running On Switch

HugoStiglitz_420

I don't know if it's cuz I know how amazing it looks on PS4 but this looks awful just like it did in the trailer. Maybe not completely awful but really, the graphics look almost nothing like the PS4 version other than the particle effects. Lighting and textures are no where near PS4. This is like Doom and Rocket League but way worse. Panic Button really sucks. Shame 3 of Switch's best games get ported by a studio that can barely handle the task. If only Bluepoint could've done it.

Re: Video: Go Behind-The-Scenes With The Switch-Bound MotoGP 18

HugoStiglitz_420

I'm very interested because Switch sorely needs a realistic racing game. Mario Kart is fun but it can be boring compared to a good racing sim and Milestone has always made solid racing game.

I'm just worried the port will suck like MX GP 3

Also, I don't like that last sentence. Milestone's games on the Vita were amazing other than Moto GP 14. They did an incredible job porting those to the Vita. We can only hope they give us that kind of quality work. WRC 4 is still IMO one of the best racing games ever on a portable console.

Re: Video: Go Behind-The-Scenes With The Switch-Bound MotoGP 18

HugoStiglitz_420

@Rayquaza2510 Of course, but some of Milestone's games on the Vita were really impressive. The only one that was bad was Moto GP 14 because it used a newer engine which ran terribly on Vita but Moto Gp 13, MX GP, and WRC 4 are incredible on the Vita. They look just like the PS3 versions but with lower resolution.

I can only hope Switch ends up that good (meaning the quality of the ports, even a bad switch port will usually look better than any Vita game besides Killzone Merc) frankly because from what I've heard, MX GP 3 was pretty bad on the Switch.

Re: Hyper Light Drifter Is Coming To The Switch This Summer

HugoStiglitz_420

@Terrible_Majesty It might. I'm curious to see if it out sells the PS4 version but considering the timing, I won't be surprised if it does. It came out on PS4 while the market was incredibly saturated, plus there wasn't a lot of buzz around it. Switch on the other hand the market is unsaturated and will most likely have a lot of buzz around it because every game is more fun when you can take it anywhere.

Re: Hyper Light Drifter Is Coming To The Switch This Summer

HugoStiglitz_420

@Nincompoop Funny you somehow associate iphone games with negativity, while also using it as a benchmark in judging why indies are bad.

Not to mention, if that iphone game is so bad, why did you play it?

And this isn't to say comparisons to mobile games shouldn't be a negative, it is a negative. However, it's a negative comparison because mobile games are consistently much lower quality than console games.

So your reason for dismissing this game is actually a reason you shouldn't dismiss it, but your ignorance allows you to do something so illogical.

Re: Nintendo Switch Version 5.0.2 Is Now Live

HugoStiglitz_420

That's it. No longer coming here for system update info. This is only the second time I've been here for a system update, and I'm already done.

It's such a [removed] move to get peoples hopes up just to make a [removed] stability feature joke.

Re: WRC 7 Studio "Looking Into" Nintendo Switch Development

HugoStiglitz_420

@AcridSkull That's like saying using a steering wheel to play a racing game sucks or that watching videos in 240p is better than 4k. It's your opinion, but it still makes you a complete idiot for having it.

A FACTUALLY better method, is still better whether you're used to it or not. Just because you were too stubborn and stupid to acclimate to different controls doesn't change that fact.

Re: WRC 7 Studio "Looking Into" Nintendo Switch Development

HugoStiglitz_420

@timson72 You obviously haven't played WRC 7. It's easily more realistic than Dirt 4 and arguably more realistic than Dirt Rally.

Plus, if you really cared about realism so much you'd play Richard Burns Rally which makes Dirt Rally seem like a bad joke.

Not to mention, using a controller is completely inferior to using a steering wheel, but we're talking about Switch here which unfortunately will probably never have wheel support.
