Look at that list of Switch games and tell me it had a bad year. I couldn’t have asked for a better launch for a great system. Looking forward to what Nintendo has in store for 2018!
I had no choice but to vote for Zelda on each one. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mario games, but I’ve always had a special connection with the Legend of Zelda franchise.
I already own Skyrim: SE for my Xbox One, but this might turn out to be a good item to throw on the Christmas list. Fantastic game that’s worth every cent.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE “Even here I’ve said ports aren’t a bad thing.”
Then why must’ve you bicker about ports in literally every article concerning third-party support? You literally complain about 90% of the third-party support on the Switch even though this is the best support Nintendo has received from developers for years. Plus, there are tons of Nintendo fans who never had the chance to play games like Skyrim, Doom, and/or Rocket League until now. So please, think twice before you comment.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I personally love the soundtrack for this game, it has several great tracks that really get you pumped up. If any of you have played this game before, you know what I’m talking about.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE There are millions of Nintendo fans who haven’t played games like Doom or Skyrim. I have an Xbox as well as a Switch, so I’ve already played most of the third-party games coming to the Switch this year, but for someone who hasn’t played those games yet, this is a big deal.
Kinda confused as to how you can claim 2018 is bare-bones even though 2017 hasn’t ended and Nintendo hasn’t given much word on what’s ahead.
This one is hard for me because my overall favorite 2D Mario game is Super Mario Bros. 3, but I think I’d have to give the crown to Super Mario Maker simply due to the fact you can recreate most of the levels. Plus you can design your own courses and play others’. As for my favorite 3D Mario game, I went with Super Mario Galaxy 2. That might change with Odyssey’s release, but I can’g Say for sure until I’ve beaten the game.
When it comes to 3D Mario games, Odyssey and the two Galaxy games are pretty tough to beat. 3D Land was pretty great, too. Never really got into 64 or 3D World.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Glad to hear you’re still having a blast playing a 25 year old game; meanwhile, the rest of us Nintendo fans are enjoying the Switch and are grateful for it’s incredibly vast library. Save yourself the embarrassment and quit complaining about every single thing.
@QwertyQwerty Absolutely. Rocket League came out of nowhere and is one of my favorite games of all time. If you like having fun, then you’ll love Rocket League. For anyone who’s on the fence, I would highly recommend picking this up.
I used to be a big fan of Mario games, but they just never felt the same after New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario 3D World; however, I pre-ordered Odyssey because it finally looks like the the Mario game I’ve been looking forward to for years. Can’t wait to give it a go!
I know I would love to see Nintendo continue to broaden their horizons and develop new IPs. Splatoon is one of my favorite Nintendo games and I can’t wait to get my hands on ARMS. I love it when the Big N brings new ideas to the table. What ever you got, Nintendo, throw it at me!
I’m honestly not sure why Nintendo would release an Animal Crossing game for mobile devices when they just came out with the Switch. I think most people would rather play a mobile AC game on their Switch rather than on their phones.
Netflix is a must, and VC is clearly something that needs to be implemented in the near future. Personally, I would like to see a much better solution for voice chat.
Not too enthusiastic for this games based on what I’ve seen so far. The whole ultra beast thing never really caught on for me. Hopefully these don’t turn out to be mere definitive editions of Sun and Moon, but right now I’m not too optimistic.
Never really found interest in this game until I saw my friend play it at his house. There’s definitely more meat on the bones than I initially thought, and it looks like an absolute blast to play. Day one for me.
@Moon Multiplayer is scheduled to release sometime next year for at least Xbox and PlayStation, but I don’t know for sure whether or not it will come to the Switch.
This would be huge if true. Not the biggest fan of GTA (bought V and got bored of it), but I know there is a massive fanbase out there would scoop this up right away.
I for one would like some word on VC. Either it’s coming, or it’s not. Nintendo needs to step up and shed some light on the issue, because right now it has gotta be the most requested feature for the Switch. Can’t leave us hanging forever, Nintendo.

Probably some Forza Horizon 3 with a little Breath of the Wild in there as well.

Rocket League, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, and a bit of Halo for me.

@Alikan Nailed it.

Odyssey, Breath of the Wild and Halo 5 for me. Hopefully my copy of Mario Odyssey comes tomorrow, but I might be stuck waiting until Monday

@LafayetteBlues Gotcha. No need to be rude about it.

Re: Animal Crossing for Mobile is All Set for a Nintendo Direct Reveal This Week
I’m keeping my expectations in check, but I am anticipating a surprise of some sort.
Re: Video: So, Just How Red are the Super Mario Odyssey Joy-Con Controllers?
Eh, I prefer the neon red joycons.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The Triumphant(?) Return
Mostly Destiny 2 and Stardew Valley with a bit of Rocket League and Splatoon 2 sprinkled in there as well.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch eShop Games of 2017 - Fall / Winter Edition
I’m a huge Rocket League fan, so that will be a day one purchase for me once that becomes available. Playing on the go will be fantastic! Hype!
Re: Here Are the Key Lessons that Nintendo Learned from the Wii U
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I’m 6’4” with huge hands and I have absolutely no problems using the joycons.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2017 - Fall / Winter Edition
@OorWullie Dang.
Re: Review: Stardew Valley (Switch eShop)
This is easily one of the best games you can buy on the Switch right now, and it’s more than worth it for $15. I’m so glad I picked this up day one.
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th October (North America)
I’ll be downloading Stardew Valley as soon as I’ve get home from school!

Re: Review: Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (Switch eShop)
Played this on Xbox with some buddies a while back and had an absolute blast. I would recommend this to anyone.
Re: Poll: The Switch eShop is Hot, But Is It Time for an Overhaul of Its User Interface?
I just want reviews.
Re: Reminder: Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is Out Today on the Switch eShop
Lovers is a real gem and I highly recommend it; however, it’s best enjoyed with friends on the couch
Re: The Nintendo Creators Program Now Rules Out Live Streaming on YouTube
Can’t believe Nintendo still keeps this going in 2017. Get with the times already!

Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For October And November
@SLIGEACH_EIRE The fact that Skyrim, a six year-old game that most gamers have already played, is still $60 in 2017 is outrageous. $40 at best.
Re: Review: FIFA 18 (Switch)
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Take my advice and stop digging yourself in a hole.

My Nintendo is a disgrace to Nintendo’s fanbase. I can’t believe this is what replaced Club Nintendo.
Re: Nintendo is Now 128 Years Old
Crazy to think the Big N has been around that long! Still going strong in 2017!
