I've been hoping that Nintendo would do a unified account system for a long time now. It'll make it easier for me to own a second 3DS console for things like multiplayer and trading Pokémon.
What could Genius Sonority possibly release on Wii U? Two words: Pokémon Colosseum. It was the first true 3D Pokémon game, and despite being a main-off (a spin-off that plays like a main-series game) it's good fun. I'm sure a VC version would sell plenty of copies.
As long as the update arrives before I leave for my holiday on the 16th, I shouldn't have any problems. Well, apart from my Nintendo Network ID, that is.
"This Christmas is set to be an epic one for gaming, especially as households all over the UK wake up to a new PS4 or Xbox One console under the Christmas tree."
Uh...shouldn't the largest video game retailer in the UK mention the Wii U?
I bet his primary method for defeating enemies is a string of ramblings about how their graphics look "too realistic", causing them to disappear in a mass of 8-bit pixels!
@Shambo: Thanks for the advice. I had intended for it to be a potential gift for myself (Mum always asks me what I'd like for Christmas even though I prefer to give than receive), so when they were all gone I just thought about other possibilities.
On topic, that is one awesome-looking 3DS XL. I'd definitely consider it as a second unit for sure, especially since I missed out on the Zelda 3DS XL (which have seemingly all mysteriously appeared on eBay Australia for double the price ), although I doubt it would make its way to my country's shores. Still, it'd be fantastic if it did come out here.
Nintendo has a running history of defying the odds. There's a reason I keep supporting them (well, there are many reasons, but to name them all would require a Wall O' Text). At the top of my really short Christmas list is a Wii U Limited Edition Skylanders SWAP Force Basic Pack, which is the perfect way for me personally to start having fun with Wii U.
...and with a bonus Mario Wii Remote Plus AND the iconic Mario cap, the Year of Luigi goes out in style!
This is a great deal for any Mario fan, and I'd definitely consider it if I had the option. I'd just need to figure out what to do with the spare Mario WRP.
As much as I like Donkey Kong, I think I'll stick with the Game Boy version. I mean the tutorial a recreation of the arcade version as opposed to the NES port, which means that 50m - the factory stage - is included!
"As the little tadpole makes his way home he passes by a barrage of notes, ringing out each one to create the soundtrack of the game." Uh, Baton (the tadpole) is female...
@Dpullam: There was a free trial of a prototype build of Tadpole Treble a while back. I'm not sure if it's still available to play, so it couldn't hurt to PM Matthew on Kickstarter and find out.
Darn! The exact options for which I'd vote are missing from all three polls. I'd like to get a Wii U this year but it's not entirely definite; I plan to get a Wii U and maybe - but not definitely - a PlayStation 4; and it doesn't matter which games console sells the most units or proves to be most popular, since everybody has their own preference(s) and enjoy what they own. In the end, everybody's a winner because they play whatever makes them happy.
Seven boards is quite generous for a Mario Party title. Most other games in the series have less than that. The only one to have more than seven playable boards (a whopping eight) was the original Mario Party as far as I remember. Boy, do I miss playing it...
The Normal-type has only one weakness (Fighting) and one immunity (Ghost). Ghost-types are immune to both Fighting- and Normal-type moves. And Fighting-types take normal damage from Normal and Ghost moves. On a semi-related note, three of the Gym Leaders of Johto each specialise in one of those three types, even though Whitney (the Normal-type specialist) has what is technically classified as a pure Fairy-type Pokémon (Clefairy). What this would seem to indicate is that...um...Oran Berries are delicious?
I don't think there's been a Nintendo Connection Tour in Australia since 2011. It's great that other countries still have Nintendo events happening though.
"At the beginning of this month Nintendo of America cut the price of Nintendo Land in half, chopping the recommended charge from $59.99 to £29.99 in stores and on the eShop." GamerZackX is confused!
"The reality of an updated PokéRap is rather ugly" That caption doesn't sit well underneath an image of Pikachu, generally considered one of the most adorable Pokémon of all (because not everybody knows Clefairy ). Wouldn't it make more sense to have an image of a truly hideous Pokémon, such as Muk, Weezing or Garbodor?
FUN FACT: Ueto Aya referred to Toad as "Kinopio", which is the Japanese name for the Toad race, as well as Toad himself.
@Ristar42: Good news! At least one of your Wii U-related wishes is in the process of being granted! There is a brand-new Legend of Zelda game currently in the works for Wii U which may be finished and on store shelves sometime next year.
Hippocampus? Wait a minute...I knew there was something fishy about the human brain! Ha! Ancient Greek mythology humour!
As an Autistic boy growing up (though I wasn't diagnosed until my teens) I became so involved with gaming that it's now my central hobby. Many of my other interests stem from it, and it's shaped who I am today: a young-at-heart gamer with an incredible imagination.
"and are numbered between 719-721 in the Kalos Pokédex." But, when combined, the Kalos Pokédex only has 454 Pokémon in it (although that total may in fact be 457 now). How could these Pokémon be numbered 719-721? GamerZackX is confused!
The one thing that this article didn't mention in enough detail is that the 3DS version is a completely different game to the console versions, wih its own unique plot and areas to explore, as well as a brand-new villain exclusive to this version. Couple that with the fact that the 3DS version comes with two different SWAP Force characters, as well as an exclusive Volcanic Eruptor, and it offers an added incentive to pick up both versions.
In any case, even though I'd likely prefer the console version, I don't currently own a Wii U nor would I risk a defective copy of the Wii version; therefore, this version will have to suffice until then. It's at the top of my birthday list, along with a bunch of the characters!

Prince Tricky reminds me of Tricky the Triceratops from Diddy Kong Racing.
