Re: Talking Point: Gamescom Announcements Raise the Stakes for the Wii U and 3DS

GamerZack87

The PS Vita is getting a price-cut?!...oops, wrong site.

All of this possible information is well-and-good, but there's only one piece of Wii U-related news that interests me at the moment: when is Nintendo going to announce the white Wii U Premium for the PAL region? Seriously, it's the only thing stopping me from getting a Wii U (well, that and a lack of funds)! D:

Re: Video: This Exclusive Skylanders Swap Force Footage Shows More Characters in Action

@rjejr: That's their method of ensuring that there are toy sales all throughout the year: release half the toys at launch as "wave 1", then split the rest into four more waves to be sold at different points over the course of twelve months. Skylanders isn't the only toy brand to use this tactic; toy and card game manufacturers have been doing it for decades to offer variety and push sales throughout the year.

@Shworange: Now that's one question I can't answer. I'm not sure if Vicarious (Acti)Vision(s) has given a clear answer on that yet.

Re: More Evidence Emerges of a Wind Waker HD Wii U Bundle

GamerZack87

It'd make sense for the Pokémon X bundle to have a Blue+White console, since it matches the game better than Blue+Black. In any case, I'd pick the Pokémon X bundle over Pokémon Y. I just hope that both bundles, as well as the Wii U Wind Waker bundle (preferably in white), make it Down Under.

Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd August (Europe)

@mrkuribo: I'm a bit confused as well. Why would Capcom need to release three similar-looking Street Fighter games in a single week? To answer your question, I found The New Challengers to be great value-for-money, with more characters than the other two.

Re: Soapbox: 'Vintage' Used Game Prices Do Nothing to Encourage Customer Loyalty

GamerZack87

I've been going to EB Games for most of my gaming needs for years now, and I have no problem with a lot of the stores I visit. The staff are (barring a few exceptions) very friendly and always open for a chat, and if I have any questions about anything they're always ready with an answer. If I find a cheaper price on sale or otherwise, at any other retailer, they're always happy to match their price. Reading other peoples' comments about EB's parent company kinda makes me thankful for what I have: a friendly team of dedicated staff who always make me feel like a valued customer.

Re: Retailer Listings and Comic-Con Reveal New Figures for Skylanders Swap Force

GamerZack87

@Nibelilt: What a coincidence...I have Collector's OCD as well! I've been sticking to a certain pattern when collecting my figures, such as 24 normal-sized Skylanders in each of the current series with three characters of each element and one overlap between series per element. They're all organised neatly, but I find the gaps slightly annoying... -_-

@LOMDR: I'm hoping to pick up a Wii U before SWAP Force is out, but I'm waiting on the 32GB White console's inevitable international release, though I'd likely cave in and buy an 8GB one if need be since the white looks so sleek; it's for that reason I've held off from getting Giants despite collecting quite a few Series 2 characters already. Molten Hot Dog is just too sweet to go wanting!

Re: Review: Shantae (3DS eShop)

GamerZack87

@R-L-A-George: It was never released on the Australian DSi Shop, which is weird cause it was released in Europe. I'll check the eShop later, hopefully it's been rectified now that the original is out.
