Hopefully they haven’t messed with em too much and they all retain their individual charm.

Dizzy and the Freescape games kept me on my Speccy in its twilight years (it’s currently entombed in its box in my cupboard along with the games).

I play every day so I don’t mind the occasional charge. I’d have to really think about a subscription though since I’m already paying for Nintendo Switch Online, Pokemon Bank and Home.

I think it’s always worth remembering I know people who spend hundreds a year so they can stand in the cold and rain watching some sports thing for 3 hours. Gotta keep it in perspective.

Would still like to play Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Animal Crossing: Lets Go To The City but they’re too expensive now and my humble laptop can’t emulate em either.

As ever, my 3DS time was mostly playing Pokémon. I got into 4 figures with hours played. Getting the Game Boy games and being able to transfer up to Bank was brilliant too.

After not liking Wild World very much I loved New Leaf and bought it 3 times.

Out Run 3D was a highlight and of course Fire Emblem as well. Oh, and Bravely Default.

I think I’ve put 10 hours into The Crown Tundra already and still got a ways go to the end of story (I get easily distracted). Will be trying hard for shinys and getting into the new VGC meta also.

I can’t stop doing the new raids. I’m 5 minutes into the story and 4 hours later no further forward.

The content for the first DLC was a couple hours story/battling with a new Pokémon accompanying you. It also included a sizeable free roaming area where Pokémon not available in the base game could be caught.
Second one looks like more of the same.
I thought of it as end game content so I’m thinking maybe wait until you’ve completed the main story until you get the DLC.
A big part of the Pokémon experience for me is the online 2v2 battling and the DLC has some quality of life stuff that helps with creating a competitive team.

I’ve been playing since Blue and though it’s not the very best in the series I’d still give it 10/10.

Yellow is my most replayed for sure. I put a ton of hours into X as I was battling in VGC a lot then. I’m currently re/playing Yellow, Crystal, Black, Omega Ruby and Sword. 😅

As a huge fan I’d say jump straight in. With the new free Pikachus and upcoming legendary raids and Pokémon GO! compatibility this is a great time to start.

Also the new games are great. The internet is frequently wrong about, well, everything.
