Re: Super Mario 3D All-Stars Buyers Left Upset At Amazon UK's Sneaky Pre-Order Tactics

DonkeyDiddyKong

Yep I'm one. I pre ordered on 3rd of September and was charged £50 on my card couple of days ago. Everyday since I pre ordered I've gone to check to see if they changed the price and they didn't til....well......today. So I was suprised and pissed off when I checked this morning and saw it was down by £5. So I called Amazon and because the game was (is) still out for delivery they couldn't give me a partial refund and could only give me £5 credit.

Tell ya this will be the first and last time I use amazon for pre orders. I used to always hear of amazon being great for pre orders but clearly they ain't.

My first thoughts - This looks awesome but I bet it's another rouge lite.

And yes yes it is. Why is every frigging Indie thing a rougelike/lite nowdays? I'm getting sick to death of it. The way I see it is developers have become too lazy to make a proper structured game so just release rougelike after rougelike after rougelike. So many times I've seen trailers of fantastic looking games but then will read it's a rougelike/lite and it puts me off in an instant.

Looks cool I might give it a ba.......wait a minute. Rogue lite? As the one and only Eric Cartman says......Screw you guys I'm going home....to Animal Crossing

Seriously getting sick to death with what seems like most indie games being bloody rogue lite. Occasional game like it fine but now it's just seems everyone is doing it because they can't be arsed to make a proper complete game.

@MrBlacky

2 and 3 are alread on xbox and ps4. Do you not understand that it takes time and money to port these games? Especially the 3rd one? Nintendo are not exactly known for dark and hardcore games like Dark Souls...At least recently.....They are probably also testing the waters first by only releasing the first one to see if it will sell and the demand is there to spend more money and time porting the others.

Re: FIFA's Rival Pro Evolution Soccer Takes Another Hit With Loss Of Dortmund License

DonkeyDiddyKong

@spizzamarozzi

Because people like football games to be as realistic and authentic as possible both in play and presentation. That is why Fifa is so popular. Having the official licensee adds to the immersion and even more of a reason to try and win your games. In latest Fifa's the cup that replaced the champions league is crap and feels lot less fun and immersive to try and win and play. Champions League is the biggest and by far the best club trophy you can win so of course having the official license for a football would help with the experience and fun factor. The Master League used to be the top dog but has now been vastly beaten by Fifa's manager mode. Master League has barely changed since the beginning where's with Fifa at least they try and add something new every new.

I'm not A Fifa fanboy by the way. I'm actually getting sick of Fifa because no matter how much EA deny it it's scripted (though same goes with Pro Evo but less obvious)

I used to LOVE Pro Evolution Soccer and 6 was at the time by far the best but after that it took a massive dive. Yeah things have improved over last couple of years too little too late for me. Master League needs a drastic overhaul before I come back to it again.

Re: Psyonix Reveals Details Of The New Graphics Update For Rocket League

@OorWullie

Really? I'm sorry did you miss the state of it on release? Clearly it was a half arsed rush job release with plans to patch it later on. Yes it's a lot better now but doesn't change the fact that on release it was awful. Just like other companies they released a rushed half arsed lazy port so they could patch it later. Instead of rushing out games to patch them later, how about actually making the port good to begin with so it doesn't need patch after patch?

Doom also had problems which they patched though nothing like this. I bloody hate fanboys!

Re: Review: Last Day Of June (Switch eShop)

Love these types of quirky games so got this on PC the other week. I'm not a fan at all. I don't mind slow games but this is very slow. I also don't mind rewatching same scenes over again depending on the game but with this watching the same scenes over and over again is a real drag.
