Bravo, this was a good commercial. A little late, but a great start to a new generation.

I like it, but it needs to be more focused on the remix levels, less of the traditional stuff.

The Wii U negativity is pure propaganda created by the twins. The Wii U is a huge success and is not in any shape or form a failed illusion. This is no longer a cheap console like Wii, which is why it isn't selling as much. The problem is rising taxes and family budgets. You can't deny the charm of a Nintendo console and people will buy this thing. Dumb, misleading articles are what get clicks. I've played all three new consoles and the Wii U remains more accessible. Making a console that's easier to develop and blow ram on is not the future; quality always counts. I'm still unhappy that the twins rehashed their old consoles and didn't shake anything up; more of the same boring stuff. A missed opportunity. We'll see if oculis rift and steam box can join Nintendo, while the two boring systems fade away.

I really hope this isn't our 2014 Zelda. Somehow I think it is.

It's a great deal, but I think the big news is minecraft ps3 comes out. Good marketing strategy to steer the news to something else, though. I'll pick up megaman x, it's been a while.

A lot of Debbie Downer comments today. Nintendo is making a lot of money this year. Wii U is doing pretty well and game adoption is significantly higher on this console, not to mention quality games. I usually follow User ratings over critics and last I checked Nintendo has released some quality games with exceptional reviews. The twins have yet to release something compelling on their consoles, but have spent significant marketing budgets to sell units. Wii U is the only system with a reasonable software schedule in 2014. 3ds Miiverse and universal accounts just got added. This is the greatest Nintendo year ever. Instant replay value added to your 3ds library.

@RCMADIAX December numbers are impressive so far. I wouldn't be too concerned. Obviously you want to sell to a large audience, but if the game is adaptable like Toki Tori, then you should be fine. From one Indie dev to another, make sure your target market exists on this platform.

I love it. It's like when they added Internet to the DS.

@Kolzig I was just mentioning this, don't use b to jump, use a. They do the same thing, but b doesn't register the homing attack.

This is the best sonic ever, in all honesty. If it weren't for the introduction being a little finicky, reviewers would have understood that. As always, reviews are face value. I posted on miiverse 'use a for homing attacks' and got over 20 'yeahs' because the game soon became playable after that. That's my two cents worth.

@rjejr I agree. Is Nintendo reducing the moderating staff, because that wouldn't be cool? Why are we identifying the problem posts for Nintendo. Now my kids are going to ask what they mean. I thought Nintendo was doing a good job moderating, why change it?

Lost levels would be cool on Wii U. That could have been awesome.

@QBertFarnsworth Ugh, I'm still mad about the rip people off deluxe digital promotion. My wife wanted white in her living room. Why buy the 32 gb when you bought a harddrive? Because Nintendo sneaks in and says the white one is not eligible, although every bit of marketing indicates early adopters will get this promotion. Liars! Please rectify.

Can you unify multiple 3DS consoles? I have two and a Wii U. Somehow I think it's doubtful because of all the things out there.

I don't watch tv. If I did then I would buy an Xbox One and watch tv through the portal for no apparent reason. I don't even know what VGX is. I thought it was a country music channel.

@LDXD Long load times, dropping frame rate, and installation times/updates. All the problems of a new console. It will change, since it is a long term investment. Right now the console is not as ready as the Wii U was at launch (in my opinion). It needs some much needed work.

@Pit-Stain 18 players on COD is cool, but buying the game because it's blue on ps4 is not as good as off screen play. I suppose you could use the vita for that, but haven't cared to try it because it was dreadful on ps3.

So far I'm not impressed with ps4. The Wii U pro controller is simply better than the duo shock 4. Both are great controllers, but I don't like the classic placement of the sticks. The ps4 makes for a good multimedia device, but does games poorly. It's unfortunate that the news media is saying otherwise. The one thing that Sony has going for itself is Tear Away, what I would consider a true next gen piece of art. Hopefully they'll do more to change the technical scene because iPad mini is pulverizing the gaming industry.

Once you get past the twins bullet points you begin to realize it's all fluff. Sony has always been good at building consoles, but lousy at making timeless games. Hopefully that will change.

Truth is most people don't know or care about localization. This is a very small segment of Nintendo owners. They are going to appeal to the masses first and foremost and most of them don't know how to click a petition.

Nintendo is really struggling right now (sarcastic). Watch these sell out in a couple days.

I like touchpad devices, but let's face it, the games are temperamental and not fun.

@SkywardLink98 Cheap? My estimation is it's the most expensive considering what you have to buy to get to what I consider a 'complete' system.

Obviously it's strategy that the twins are trying to manipulate perception. Perception is everything these days. Let's get serious, Wii U is the only next gen machine whereas the other two are rehashes without any compelling difference. Sales and opinions aside, the twins didn't bring anything new or compelling to the market. In the interest of technical advancement, Nintendo is the only one trying new things. I want to see something new from the other two, not the same. Why should I buy a better ps3 or Xbox for twice or three times the price?

Off screen play is invaluable. Wii U is best positioned for vr, but other than walking around Nintendoland, they didn't do anything with it. Right now they are simply making profitable games like they did with 3ds. I hope the vr comes sooner or later.

This guy is old school. The new school is digital distribution; forget shelf space. Once Wii U gets to a comfortable price people will want to own that in addition to the powerful consoles, because let's face it, everyone wants to play games and Knack ain't keeping people happy.

I didn't realize UK sales were that bad.

My brother bought a ps4, but all he plays is the new Zelda on his 3ds. Case and point. PS4 is naturally a good system, but nothing compelling yet exists. It's a nice bluray player until games return. Until then, Wii U.

The Wii U is a great system, but it is expensive even after the price cut. The max harddrive is 32gb and the console is $350 for bare necessities. Some could argue the Xbox one is $650 with the bare necessities. I still think Nintendo has a way to go considering Wii was about $100 less in its launch. The games are cool and I'm in, but the mass consumer is budget conscious which means they can no longer buy two systems for $500, but rather decide on a single console.

Cliff, come to the light side of the force and being GOW to Nintendo, please!

If people want to fork out $650 average to start up an Xbox one, more power to them. I see that as money I could put towards a great deal of Wii U content. I'll let you know when I see something more compelling than Wii U and I'm no fanboy. I own a 360 and PS3.

How about they release a bunch at a time, but incorporate unique optional touchpad controls. Also, need good games like GameCube and Wii hd releases; that's a real virtual console. No more gameboy or nes garbage.

There are commercials, but on the kids channels. I think they are playing it safe and staying out of Sony's way, while they rip apart microsoft. Wii U tried marketing to young adults last year and failed; they are going back to what works for them.

@MadAussieBloke My guess is the twins will make most of their money on advertising and micro transactions. Even if they sell few units, they are experts at milking customers. Additionally, they sell market intelligence back to third parties. The most money that is made is usually unseen.

@awesumsauce1 I agree. Wii Fit had it's day in Wii. People don't care about this. My Dad bought Wii fit, which is strange because he doesn't play video games. He doesn't care for Wii U, because he doesn't care about updated versions of the same apps. They need new content. Why not create Mii Golf, a full game like they showcased when Wii U was first advertised. Moving away from that was a bad business decision. Wii Tvii is good, but not compelling enough as what the twins are showing.

This game brings you back to what made Arkham Asylum good. It keeps some of the city stuff to appease series fans, but returns to the interactive relationship with E Nigma. Overall the game plays nicely and I am enjoying it. I thought Arkham City was a strong departure from what made Asylum good. Origins has a rough and tough story.

I noticed that retailers are making it difficult to buy the 'Wii U' version. All the snot faced teenagers that are bashing the Wii U. This is why. They want us to keep buying music on CDs.

I think Nintendo will make plenty of money; whether they meet their unit goals or not. Wii U is a perfect Christmas present, especially since nobody knew about it last year. Also, black consoles sold out everywhere and that gave parents second thoughts. I don't see the same mistakes this year, but the digital deluxe thing still infuriates me.

This is a pretty excellent game. Not sure why the reviews were so negative. I bought this for my kids and can't stop playing; it's highly addictive. It is really polished. I'm so confused why the ratings were low. Oh well, glad I picked this up.

Still playing Sonic Racing all stars transformed; great game. These seem to have a lot of life and they've been in hd longer than Mario Kart. I'll enjoy Mario kart, but this developer knows what their doing with sonic.

Building the hype, meanwhile I'll play Batman.

We've been playing this and it's pretty fun. I like Wayne Brady, but the commercials may or may not get people excited about this. Not sure. I like the bacon commercials much better.
