@Buduski I agree. I like Killzone being Sony's thing. I think Nintendo should have a shooter franchise. They are really missing that. They need to give Cliff Blizinski access to Metroid or Starfox and let him run with it. They need to move towards modern gaming as a compromise. That would spark long term sales for this generation. They need to stop going local with Konomi or Namco. Maybe even strike up a deal with Bungie or Naughty Dog.
I don't see Starcraft. This is a fun poll, but hardly reflects most of the greats. I don't know why Dark Souls or Bioshock are on here. The question was for the last 20 years, not now. Might as well put Pikmen 3 on there as number 1.
Asylum is so great, but city was uh; a mixed bag. Hopefully this will be more like asylum, but from the looks of it, probably not. I want more Metroid prime style, a smaller open world with more depth.
No one expects more than the annual sonic game. It's not quality people are looking for. It's plain old fashioned fun with a familiar character, that's all. This game certainly doesn't raise the bar and show off the Wii U's graphics, like some upcoming game will, but it does provide more content building the install base, which is really all Wii U needs.
@Unit_DTH I couldn't agree more. Go buy a harddrive, the Nintendo site gives you recommendations and links to order them. Funny, I saw Gamestop selling a 320 gb for too much, but they were marketing it to Wii U. Don't fall for that, go to the Nintendo website.
@Warruz I'm not sure what your point is. All of these games are fantastic. I'm not sure what you mean by Diablo, that's separated by like 15 years. Ubisoft delivers a quality AC experience every year. Why can't Nintendo? That's my point. How about an annual Metroid? We already get an annual Mario (or two, or three).
Bla bla bla, dumb dumb dumb. It's not an annual franchise because you hog the development. Get another development team and release every year. People love Zelda. Quality is the developer, not the time spent on it. It should be an annual title which would boost its fanbase and numbers.
@Makyurax Same here. Every Gamestop I've been to has discredited Wii U at every avail. Sometimes they'll block the entry path to the setup with used movies or something. I'm not sure why, but this is a problem.
Spoiler Allert! They teased a female Assassin in ancient Egypt as the sequel to the original, but it never happened. In AC2 they placed her as one of the 5 major Assassins in the armory, where you get Altairs' armor.
Microsoft will take care of it. Nintendo is too careful to sue them and my guess is there is a partnership there, being partially owned by IBM. I wouldn't expect much to come of this, just a few days of review. Nothing new here.
@DarkKirby You realize you are spitting out bullet points from Microsoft and Sony that really don't mean anything. Play the games and have your own opinion. Try separating yourself from the hub bub.
How they market themselves makes no difference to me. The product is good and my family absolutely loves the system. The future games look promising and I've got many great games like 101, pikmin, ac3, and Zelda to care about other platforms. I do absolutely love the Sony commercials, but content motivates my purchase. I see Nintendo as providing good services to early adopters. Their problems don't really impact us gamers.
@Dreamcaster-X Unfortunately that's true with Nintendo. Why don't they do any digital promos? There stupid deluxe digital promo infuriates me because 32gb is not enough to own many full games and they gave everyone a disc copy of Nintendoland, which just confused me into buying the basic and a harddrive to find out later that you have to have a black console to get a discount. Nintendo apologized, but they didn't offer a resolution. Sony never does this. I hate Nintendo's pricing model; it's designed to be confusing and make people pay full price. That's why it's important Sony keeps them in their toes.
Got it for free on ps plus a few months back. I didn't like it, that's not to say someone might. To me it feels like a lackluster shooter. This is like putting me3 on wii u a year later. Should we care?
@Moshugan It's about as bold as Steve jobs before he changed his company to what it is today. Many companies replicate, but what Nintendo and Apple have in common is a push to revolutionize
The Gerudo's aren't bad, that's complete journalistic failure. In fact one becomes a sage. I would argue the complete opposite; that this series helped alleviate racism in our world today, more so on the side of Link having to work with people of all different types and not judge them on the basis of whether they had fins or ate rocks.
@Damo It's a cool idea, but I think we all agree the Wii U needs little distraction at this point. Let's not confuse ma and pa by putting another Nintendo on the shelf.
Obviously supporting Nintendo puts them at a conflict of interest with the twins. I'm just happy they are fighting to produce on the hardware. In theory the game is going to sell millions, they just don't know on which system. Putting it on Wii U is so they can convince buyers they want to support new tech.
All jokes aside, their dlc was never any good. Does it really matter? I'm buying it on Wii U just to play the actual game. DLC has been garbage in recent years.
Some could argue that the discounted ps2 slowed the advancement of the ps3 which drifted quickly into last place in a time when modern business was booming. The only reason the ps3 is doing well now is because of big price cuts and 3 cheaper models later. Wii continuation would only confuse customers more. They need to get them off the shelves; same with the ps3 and Xbox 360 if we hope to get people to upgrade.
The big mistake is they assumed that they could replicate the Wii era, which was little advertising and mostly word of mouth. Investors got stingy and agreed. The problem is they abandoned marketing and ended up doing damage to the brand. Anyone who owns a Wii U (w the exception of a few trolls) loves it, but their commercial value is bland. Recently I saw another Wii U commercial and I'm embarassed. They need to re-evaluate who they have and perhaps consider notable outside resources. Sony's system is underrated and really brings nothing new to gaming, but it's in a shiny new box and the commercials are excellent.
Played this with my kids at Best Buy's E3 event and this was nothing short of revolutionary. It has some old and some new tricks, but overall is refreshing new experience like Sunshine and Galaxy. The one thing that makes this game incredible are the hd graphics, which are much more fluid than anything you'd see on an Xbox 360. Finally the leading technology meets the experts at creating fun experiences; it's a shame we had to wait so long.
@ActionMan Are you kidding? This would put Nintendo back on track to compete with Sony. Sony takes their best franchises and has them on handheld and console. This is a creative solution for capitalizing on their franchises. I would only hope they give us pikmin 3 on 3ds like they did with Donkey Kong.
We would like to see less Iwata and more Reggie. And please no more hands saying 'directly'. It's like a joke without a punch line. With those few exceptions, this was a decent direct.
@rjejr I agree that $129 is a little high, especially when the top games are $40. I think people see the quality in Nintendo, but rising taxes and fear of skyrocketing insurance is keeping spenders at bay. Realistically the price points for xbone and ps4 are trying to stay significantly cheaper than their predecessors. Wii U is suffering from pricing itself as a luxury item, which has plummeted over the last 5 years. Look where Porsche was when the Wii came out, making huge profits. People are very hesitant in this market. It's not about bringing something new, but rather providing an affordable entertainment option that can do more than play games. If it only plays games, then Wii U needs to be priced fairly. I have no problem paying $350 for a console, but how do you expect to convince Joe?
Does anyone else see this as a major step backwards? I mean they give us an amazing version of Ocarina, the greatest Zelda of all time and now this crap? This is probably the same developer as the minish cap, which was pure crap. No more 2d nonsense, give us a triple a title already. Oh well, there is plenty of other stuff to play on 3ds, but as a huge Zelda gamer I wanted to state the obvious.
@CrabGats I think they need a sonic reboot like they did with Lara Croft. Make him more realistic with feelings and emotions. When Robotnik insults him he should shutter and perhaps tear up as his emotions take over. Nah, nevermind.

@SirMime ditto
Re: Wii Party U Bypasses the Wii U eShop in Launch Week
Wiiplay stayed high on the charts, my guess is they'll do it again with this. Only problem is every household probably already has 4.
