Re: Review: Super Metroid (New 3DS / SNES)

And what's wrong with linear games. Super Metroid is all but not linear but someone said in comments later Metroid games have linear gameplay. Older I am, more I like linear games. I don't have time anymore to explore and play games all day. I want good linear, but fun gameplay. I hope new Zelda will be simple, linear game with lots of great and fun dungeons. That's all I want. I want to have fun playing games, not to stuck at some point and lost interest to finish game. I'm 32 and having blast playing linear Super Mario 3D World with my kids. Starfox will be linear and even repetitive but as long it's fun I'm ok with it.

I have Super Metroid on mi Wii U and loved it till water level. Jumping on water levels with that sand falling or whatsoever made me to never go any further. I was so angry that I have no interest to boot up that game again! Maybe I'll give it a second chance one day, I don't know.. But even now when I think and write about it I'm starting to feel anger. That's how I hate that water level. You are warned...

Picture above head title of articles is so wrong imo. Confusing to scroll and hard to find news you are interested in. Even writing this comment is a challenge.. While you're writing text keeps disappearing and you need to scroll to find text box. This goes for mobile version on iPhone 6 in Safari. I didn't see desktop version yet...

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Software Technology Working On Free-To-Play amiibo Game, Could Be Switching To Mobile In The Future

CroRock

As long as they keep producing top quality games for their dedicated gaming systems like 3ds or Wii u or nx or whatsoever.. I have no problem with unlocking some new content on freemium game on my iPhone with amiibo. Maybe I buy one just for that reason. Why not. And maybe someone who not own Nintendo console buy one amiibo for that reason. Maybe he will buy console from Nintendo after that. It's a win for Nintendo and for us all who want Nintendo earn billions so we don't need to wait 5 years between 2 Zelda games on home console. Maybe we even get new Metroid game.. Who knows
How people don't get it.. Nintendo is trying all to get back people and money they "lost" with Wii U. It's not like they want to make free games on mobile and get out of console business. I think it's a smart move - to get audience, sell some IAP and maybe sell some amiibo with console by the way.

Re: Evergreen Nintendo Releases Hang Tough in the UK as Xenoblade Chronicles X Tumbles Out of Top 40

@electrolite77 well I live in Croatia and I have never ever seen any Nintendo commercial on tv or whatever in my 32 years. But I read review sites like IGN, gamespot, nintendolife etc for years. Ps4 commercials are everywhere and I played it but didn't like it. But I do like my 3ds and 15 games I own. And I'm sure I'm going to like my new Wii u with XCX even if Nintendo sucks in advertising. But modern advertising isn't commercials between cartoons on tv for 10 years kids, it's all about building a hype! And hype is built with lots of money on sites like IGN and nintendolife and so on. Results are mediocre games on all platforms with lots of DLCs. I'm not saying Nintendo isn't guilty, of course it is, but ther problem is bigger then just advertising their games. Old hardware with still high price compared to PS4 and XBONE and lack of big and quality games is greather problem. XBC is specific game for specific profile of players.. And those players are playing now their new COD, fallout and gta v on ps4. Because Nintendo failed to sell their console to adult single male players..
So, you are right.. It is Nintendo's fault IGN posted XCX review on site one week after release date and trolling us readers with Fallout 4 news and reviews for months, just like they did with gta v and destiny etc.
You get the point.
But opinions are like ass holes.. everyone has one, and so am I

Tomorrow I'm going to buy Wii U Basic Just Dance 2014 bundle with NSMBU+Luigi, Nintendoland, Wii remote AND buying extra Xenoblade Chronicles X Limited Edition.. All for £250. It won't help UK charts because I'm not from UK but anyway. Xenoblade is a reason I'm buying Wii U. It's IGN's and similar sites fault it's not selling well. If you take other games paid scores and reviews like fallout 4 or gta v this game gets bad reputation. Not to mention COD and alike. And we all know it's all about marketing and money involved. But I'm not buying that poopitypoopoop from those sites. If game looks interesting to me - I'm in.. Even if that means buying a console

Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units

CroRock

I'm thinking about something.. If they release that new home console next year, what message they send to their loyal costumes who bought Wii U having on mind it will be "just" 4 years old?! They are telling them.. Oh sorry wii u is a failure, and we are working on new one so don't expect any great new games for your OLD dedicated gaming system.. We want you to buy our new one and let's all hope it sells well so we don't need to make the newest one after 3 years... And so on.
People are not stupid, and they don't want to buy experimental consoles/projects every 2-3 year.
I'm not buying it. And if they really release new home console next year - I'm done with Nintendo.
And as long as they don't lose money with each wii u sold - I don't see what's the rush

Re: Editorial: It's Not Fun to Criticise Nintendo Games, But It's Been Unavoidable in 2015

CroRock

Tom Whitehead.. do you really need to apologize for giving bad score for bad games that costs fortune in some countries?! I don't think so...
I love Nintendo but they are not sacred cows. People work hard to get money for games and I want to thank you for saving me 1/10 paycheck price for one bad game like Triforce Heroes.

If someone need to apologize thats Nintendo.. for broken multiplayer in SSB3D, for 1 or 3 players in triforce heroes, delaying Zelda U and for many, many more things...

btw.. I hope you won't review Xenoblade.. hahaha

I don't have Wii U but looking to buy one as Xenoblade bundle release date approaches .. or not.
I play hell of my 3ds xl on daily basis for years but I'm on fence with wii u and those NX speculations doesn't help. maybe some price drop + Xenoblade + Christmas could push me over but thats one big maybe.
I'm trying to say here.. they should say already wtf that nx is going to be and when could we expect it to be released.. because that specatulations holding me from buying new 3ds xl and wii u! I don't want to buy wii u tomorow and see them announcing in january 2016 that nx with Zelda coming summer 2016. and i don't want to buy new 3ds if its going to be hybrid console or if its going to be just new handheld coming 2016.
BUT if they say its going to be hybrid or just home console and coming late 2017 - im going to buy tomorrow both of them...
don't know.. too many unanswered questions holding my money in my pockets.
...if u can understand what i'm trying to say because my bad english

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Must Take Careful Steps Into Paid DLC and Free-to-Play

CroRock

@brewsky I just said that I'm not against paying for extra content if that content really is extra. 3 dlc packs at day one just feels like milking money for content that supose to be in full game. Didn't expect that from Nintendo. Easy as that. And yes, if Nintendo continue with that policy, yea.. I'm going to sell my 3DS XL. And I really like my 3DS and all games I have for it, and its the best gaming platform I ever had if you ask me. And I had them more then a few in my 30 years.
Btw.. I would never buy extra maps for Fire Emblem, but when they make a sequel, I will gladlly pay 48euro for a game at first day of release.
call me stupid

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Must Take Careful Steps Into Paid DLC and Free-to-Play

I have paid for many extra contents, dlcs, free to full versions, extra in game items or whatsoever... for my iphone games and applications, and I'm not agains paying more for games that I like... BUT all those games were free or about a few dollars. With Nintendo it just doesn't feel right to me to charge us for extra stage or two, especially at day one of game release. For a price of 1/10 average croatian wage for a nintendo game, I want those "extra" stages to be included in full game. I was interested in this game for some time even I didn't play any previous Mario or any other golf games.. but now I think I won't buy it
