In regards to what Nintendo should to and all regarding everything we know. I think Nintendo should develop their own multi purpose game engine called the Nintendo Xross Engine (NXE) that can handle all of their projects going forwards on 3DS, N3DS, Wii U, Mobile, PC & NX.
A game engine like this would be expensive to build at first but could end up making games development easier, cheaper and quicker for them as they wouldn't have to build new engines all the time.
Also they should update the 3DS, N3DS & Wii U with an all new unified online service that can be built upon over multiple platforms including whatever the NX may be.
Last but not least they should reinvest in their western development studios and hand over the reigns of some IPs that they no longer use such as F-Zero, Advance Wars and The 2D Wario Platformers.
@Frank90 Galaxy 2 is much harder then it should be and considering I'm something like 5 worlds into the second game, the difficulty is like that of the trial galaxies of the first game and makes the game very hard for me.
No Sonic Boom Ice & Fire? But seriously Nintendo needs more third party stuff out there to help them out during the quiet months and drive sales. Also I think it would be brilliant if they let you buy E-Shop games but at an extra cost have it delivered to your house as a physical thus increasing sales as there are people who will only buy physical games.
The only part of the timeline I think is wrong is how the fallen hero timeline happens, basically Link dies in the final battle in Ocarina Of Time. I personally think that the real reason should be that link went back to the past to get the iron gauntlets, this creates a future where link disappeared and was therefore unable to defeat Ganon but had saved enough of the 7 Sages so the Sealing War could happen.
As for Tri Force heroes just let it be a side story set after A Link Between Worlds. So the Fallen Hero timeline would look like this
Seriously NOA you need more Wii U games for this years line up god dammit, STOP BEING STUPID!!!!!! Software drives hardware sales and since there is very little for adult gamer's to enjoy on the system, what reason would they have to pick up a Wii U this year?
I know this may sound like winging to some but different gamer's enjoy different games and there is no shame in having a little varity in one's gaming line up. For example
Mature themed Shooters FPS/TPS J-R.P.Gs W-R.P.Gs Simulation Sports Arcadey Sports Tactical Co-op Shooters 2D Platformers 3D Platformers Collectathons Racing Sims Arcade Racers Kart Racers 2D Beat Em Ups 3D Brawlers Hack & Slash Choosies (Games like Heavy Rain & Crane Knee) Adventure games S.R.P.Gs R.T.S Puzzle Games Mini Game Collections/Party Games Sing-A-Longs Rythem Action Shu-em-ups Rogue Likes and the the list can go on, but the point is that Nintendo as a whole (but NOA moreso) is exculding a large market of gamer's that could have bought their systems and they could have innovated in those genres as well. It seem pointless to not support these games in the markets that they would sell the most in to be honest.
Noe here is a game that showed us the gameplay was like during the Kickstater campaign, but sadly it didn't get the funding it needed.
Also @Shiryu They have altered the kickstarter and made various changes to it so now the rewards are coming in August 2016. (EDITED - Yeah now they cancelling it)
@The_Dude_Abides Where did I say I would quit gaming? I stated that as soon as Nintendo leave the console business they will leave the games industry as well with all their innovation.
Without Nintendo to keep the rest of industry in check the 3rd parties will destroy it along with them selves just to make a quick buck. Meanwhile Nintendo will be laughing all the way to the bank in their new line of business.
3 make communication with the players mandatory and iron out any bugs that they report.
4 Introduce a strict and rigourous pricing structure to refelct the nature of Early Access i.e no more than a £1.00 or just make it Free of charge and add a donation button.
5 Run regular copyright checks on the material used in the games to avoid any unnecessary court cases.
6 Ban/blacklist developers and publishers who abuse the system without warning then name and shame them.
@The_Dude_Abides The day they go 3rd party is actually the day they quit gaming for good and that will mark the end of the industry as we know it. Get your facts rights man.
Even if the leaked footage (could be false) is real then I wouldn't be surprised at all considering that Nintendo have been hinting at this fusion system for a few years now and they have stated that this NX thing will have an entirely different concept as opposed to just a hardware update.
On a quick note the NX still surprise us in new and exciting ways that we haven't even thought of yet.
@Gerbwmu You'd think that with the Wii mote developers would be able to create a range of playable R.T.S and Point & Click Adventure games while still being to market them to a whole new audience. What a waste of great potential that controller had as well.
I think they should change how we race with the use of the gyro sensors for steering and the analouge sticks to adjust the power of the left & right thrusters to help take those corners with ease. Of course people would object to this control method without really trying it to begin with.
@garthvader I've been gaming since the early 90s on systems like the AMSTRAD CPC, Atrai ST, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Master System, N64, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstion, Playstation 2, DreamCast, PSP, Playstation 3, Wii, DS, 3DS and PC. Many good memories from those systems.
@Kirk What a great read man, that's exactly what I've been trying to get across to people who think's it's a Wii U replacement because of a few misinterpreted quotes from Reggie, Iwata and Miyamoto.
Well everything except the creation suite thing you mentioned as that's your idea, also I don't how everyone is so dense to the fact Nintendo like to keep their budgets low for their games and so they can enjoy high software sales for games that can retain their value decades as opposed to the 3rd party games that these idiots keep saying are so vital to Nintendo's survival as company.
The thing with 3rd party games is the budgets are massively over inflated and crippling to the point were if these companies don't sell 5-8 million then they go bust, Nintendo operates on the belief that you should have to blow half a billion just to make a good game.
Also they do games development from a gameplay perspective first before adding in characters that they think will fit in well with the gameplay they've established at stage 1 of the development cycle after that they work on unique things to do with the mechanics they've made while adding personality to the game as well.
@EngieBengie So you want Nintendo to do what everyone else is doing which is make boring games that look and play the safe and just act as the middle child who gets ignored all the time? Hell no Nintendo is Nintendo if they started doing what you wanted them to do now then by the time they get around to showing the fruits of their labor to us people would just say "We don't need your kiddy console cuz we haz Xbox and PS for C.O.D and Football game thing".
@aaronsullivan By balanced and hybrid I meant something like this, year 1 launch window 2 big games and 8-10 smaller games all developed in house by Nintendo without any 3rd party support then for the rest of the year and going into year 2.
They can then release more smaller games to sate the appetite of gamer's while hyping their next set of big hitters which could be Smash or Mario Kart 9 while enjoying the steady software sales over the year and if they play their cards right then the 3rd parties will come along begging for forgiveness from the Nintendo fanbase.
This is method that they can use to basically sort out the software droughts and for the hybrid and how that will play a big part in this theoy of mine just look at this infographic again tell me how many exclusive Nintendo games are coming out this year alone compared to the competition.
The Wii U's biggest problem was it image coming right of the bat with the Wii Nintendo decided to not play it safe and instead took a risk on the Gamepad and built the console around the Gamepad and it's unique features which is why it cannot be dropped without overhualing the OS.
Also people associated the Wii brand with what the dude bro gamers refer to as filthy casuals which hurt the systems hardcore appeal so even if you called it the Super Wii or the Wii 2 it still has the Wii brand on it and that hurt the system's image.
As for the advertising part well that's their fault that they didn't communicate the appeal of the system to a wider audience but I think they could have spent a bit more on advertising their systems and the games coming it but hey we cannot have everything.
Now for the games, I believe that a balanced approach is needed when it comes to releasing software on their systems and if the NX is hybrid system then they should have software droughts sorted. But they need to spend time developing their big hitters and have loads of smaller dev teams make smaller E-Shop style game that can be released via retail, these games would not take so long to develop and the budgets can be kept low to decrease the financial risk of these games flopping.
That way when their big hitters come out people can see that there is are plenty games not available anyway else that would tempt them to buy a couple with their big hitters that they would purchase on that day and who knows these small games might become big franchises one day.
@tysonfury The 360 thing is just game specific emulation that the 3rd parties have to approve of first and trust me that sound like a worst case scenario to me as hardware based backwards compatibility is far more reliable even if it's a bit more costly and knowing Nintendo coding the emluators would take forever.
As for the RAM thing the PS4 may have 8GB of GDDR5 but 1GB is held back for the OS and 2.5GB is used for something that can be negociated during the development cycle, whereas the Wii U has 2GB of DDR3 RAM of which 1GB is used for the OS and other background tasks as far as we know and the Wii U's GPGPU has 512 MB of EDRAM ease the work flow for the system.
I could try to explain more but I'm not an hardware expert and I'm only going of what I've seen released to the public.
@Ash1189 I didn't mean X86 I meant Power PC so they could port their old tools over and make improvements to them without having to relearn the code, also this would ensure that VC games can come to the NX quicker then they did coming to the Wii U as most of the leg work has already being done on Power PC.
@adamatsu Or not don't forget about the N64, it wiped the floor with the PS1 and Saturn in terms of graphical prowess all while still being affordable.
@MrGawain Never say never because they could surprise us in unexpected ways with the NX as we still don't have concrete details on what this thing even is to begin with.
@tysonfury Personally speaking the hardware type should be the same so porting games can be as simple as pressing a button, also this is just wishful think but maybe the NX will be compatible with GCN, Wii, Wii U, DS, DSI, 3DS, N3DS, NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, GBA and VB games. It wouldn't hurt to have TG-16, SMS, MD/G, MC, 32X, Neo Geo AES/MVS, Neo Geo Pocket, Game Gear, DC, Saturn, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 79000, Atari Lynx and Atari Jaguar games as well as their old Arcade hits as well.
@Kirk I think he knows that and the NX is being designed in a way that can be understood at a glance. I believe the NX is a Hybrid type console and it will be a glorified gamepad that plays 3DS, N3DS and Wii U games all in one.
This system would have to be built in 2 parts which are the gamepad 2.0 and the hub box. This system would be a little bit more powerful than the Wii U and there would be a new OS built around scaling games according to the hardware's specs along with a new online platform that's being worked on by DeNA.
This is just my opinion but please tell me what your think.
@electrolite77 I wish that Nintendo announced a couple of Gamecube HD Remasters just to give us something more to look forward to for the rest of the year or to make June, July and August more bearable for the gamers out there.
Also the bit about idiots wanting 3rd Party games on Nintendo consoles was me just letting off some steam, if they want these games then they should just buy a X1, PS4 or PC for those games because let's face it these games are never coming to an Nintendo system because nobody buys them (in the quantities 3rd parties want).
So in short Nintendo fans not buying 3rd party games is the reason the developers don't want to release games for the Wii U, likewise Nintendo fans don't like 3rd party games because they are unoptimised, missing DLC, missing features and being released years later when no one cares about them anymore.
You guys do know that if the NX is a console/handheld hybrid then by looking at the massive that I just made, then Nintendo wouldn't have to worry about software droughts that plauged the Wii U for years and Nintendo fans will be getting their wallets milked constantly all year around.
So Nintendo's 3DS & Wii U games line up for 2015/16 goes a little something like this and people are still complaining about the lack of games & their E3 Digital Event.
2015 Titles (No Dates)
Devils Third (Wii U) E 11/09/2015
Super Mario Maker (Wii U) E 20/09/2015
SKYLANDERS Super Chargers (Wii U & 3DS) 25/09/2015

Disney INFINITY (Wii U) 27/09/2015
LEGO Dimensions (Wii U) 09/10/2015

Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U) E 20/10/2015
Just Dance 2016 (Wii U)
Guitar Hero: Live (Wii U) (No Dates)
The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes (3DS) E
Star Fox Zero (Wii U) E
Pokemon: Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS) E
Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Wii U) E
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (3DS) E
Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (Wii U) E
Yo-Kai Watch (3DS) E 04/12/2015
Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U) E
2016/17 Titles
S.M.T X F.E (Wii U)
The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) E
Hyrule Warriors: Legends (3DS) E
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (3DS) E
Fire Emblem Fates (3DS) E
Metriod Federation Forces (N3DS) E
Metroid Blast Ball (N3DS) E
Yooka-Laylee (Wii U)
BloodStained (Wii U/3DS)
There seems to be plenty of games coming out in the next 6 or so months guys and gals so stop getting your knickers in a twist, just relax and play video games like a normal gamer should be doing. Also Iwatta did say the Digital Event would only cover games being released this year and for the early part of 2016, also what part of More To Be Announce didn't you haters get?
Sheese gamers these days, they expect everything and still find reason to complain about Nintendo doing things their way. If you want the games that are coming to PC, XBOX ONE and PS4 then buy one of those platforms already you idiots.
Microsoft has 2015/16 Recore Halo 5 Guardians Gears 4 Gears of War Ultimate Fonza 6 Fable Legends Scalebound Sea of Thieves The Rare Collection Quantum Break
Sony has in 2015/16 Untill Dawn Tearaway Unfolded Dreams Uncharted 4 A Thief's End Horizon Zero Dawn Ratchet & Clank Reboot The Last Guardian Shenmue 3 FF VII HD Remake The World Of Final Fantasy Street Fighter V Deep Down
Nintendo has in 2015/16 XenoBlade Chronicles X Star Fox Zero Smash DLC Project Guard Project Gaint Robot Devil's Third Project Treasure Zelda Triforce Heroes Hyrule Warriors Legends S.M.T X F.E Yoshi's Woolly World Super Mario Maker Mario Tennis Ultra Smash Chibi Robo Zip Lash
There are properly more games that I've forgot but the point is people like different games and I like a wide verity of games to satisfy my gamer needs.
Well with Sony dropping bombs like FF VII HD Remake, re-announcing The Last Guardian and making Shenmue 3 happen by telling people about the Kickstarter. I think they set the bar too high for Nintendo to do anything about it, also Uncharted 4 A Thief's End being shown at the end was the seal dealer for me.
@BLPs
My masterpiece will be years away but I'm piecing together the epic tale of Bassie The Flying Cat, a platforming game where you must use your skills to navigate the environment and get to the end.
@BLPs What part of the UK do you live in? I have never anyone except for one guy act like the nutjobs on your Game Dev Course. Over here in Colwyn Bay the Course I went on had a great a great bunch of Nintendo and SEGA fanboys/girl who love playing games like Mario, Sonic, Animal Crossing and so on. Then again I was in one the better classes and some of the tutor kept saying to me why does it have to be 2D, Why the cartoony graphics and the usual blah.
Let's see now Nintendo's 3rd pillar should be something along the lines of this
A Standard lightweight OS that works across all platforms
A Overhauled network that can be used across all platforms and updated with relative ease while the features are still funcational across all platforms.
A Redsigned gamepad that plays 3DS games and can be used on the Wii U as well as all future Nintendo consoles.
Please bear in mind that is this just me speculating about something we don't know about yet. THIS IS NOT FACTUAL INFORMATION, IT'S JUST MY OPINION OK.
@Samurai_Goroh Which could form the part of the 3rd platform that Iwata was talking about when announcing the NX a tad too early, at least that's what I believe anyway.
I think they are gearing up for a system OS overhaul in the later part of the year that will makes certain aspects of the OS work better in tandem with the pre-established features such as Friends Lists and Miiverse functionality.
Now we know Fox and Krystal get up to in Star Fox Pantyhose for the Wii U. Also I cannot wait to play The Legend of Zelda: Communist Croissant on the 3DS.
Well I got Bayo 1 (PS3), Vanquish (PS3) and Anarchy Reigns (PS3) to play and beat, I also hated the block mechanic in Metal Gear Rising Revengence as it was pointless to reinvent something didn't need reinventing. It really put me off play the game.
@Dominicruz Nintendo don't own the rights to Metro dude. they own the right to Metriod though and they can release it on whatever platform they want so Duck Game it.
@manu0 I think that he should release say 2 to 3 games a week to help combat the game drought that's been plaguing Nintendo home console for the last 3 years.

Re: Nintendo Is "Exploring" The Idea Of Early Access Games On Its Consoles
Okay after reading some of the comments here I have made a list of things needed to make this concept work for all.
1 the developer must be backed a respectable company who can help with managing the project.
2 A ban all Asset Flippers please see Jim Sterling's video on that link below
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5svAoQ7D38k&index=6&list=PLlRceUcRZcK0E1Id3NHchFaxikvCvAVQe

6 Ban/blacklist developers and publishers who abuse the system without warning then name and shame them.
Re: Nintendo Is "Exploring" The Idea Of Early Access Games On Its Consoles
They should call it Nintendo Pre-Play and make sure that a trusted 3rd party publisher/management company is keeping tabs on these projects.

I didn't mean X86 I meant Power PC so they could port their old tools over and make improvements to them without having to relearn the code, also this would ensure that VC games can come to the NX quicker then they did coming to the Wii U as most of the leg work has already being done on Power PC.
Re: Tablets Stole The Wii U's Thunder, Laments Shigeru Miyamoto
@adamatsu Or not don't forget about the N64, it wiped the floor with the PS1 and Saturn in terms of graphical prowess all while still being affordable.
Re: Tablets Stole The Wii U's Thunder, Laments Shigeru Miyamoto
@MrGawain Never say never because they could surprise us in unexpected ways with the NX as we still don't have concrete details on what this thing even is to begin with.
Re: Tablets Stole The Wii U's Thunder, Laments Shigeru Miyamoto
Re: Tablets Stole The Wii U's Thunder, Laments Shigeru Miyamoto
@Kirk
I think he knows that and the NX is being designed in a way that can be understood at a glance.
Re: Tablets Stole The Wii U's Thunder, Laments Shigeru Miyamoto
And cue the hateful comments that are going to come because Nintendo is somehow guilty of the crime of being truthful and honest.
Re: Next Metroid Prime Home Console Title "Would Likely Now be on NX"
@electrolite77
I wish that Nintendo announced a couple of Gamecube HD Remasters just to give us something more to look forward to for the rest of the year or to make June, July and August more bearable for the gamers out there.
Re: Next Metroid Prime Home Console Title "Would Likely Now be on NX"
You guys do know that if the NX is a console/handheld hybrid then by looking at the massive that I just made, then Nintendo wouldn't have to worry about software droughts that plauged the Wii U for years and Nintendo fans will be getting their wallets milked constantly all year around.
Re: Next Metroid Prime Home Console Title "Would Likely Now be on NX"
So Nintendo's 3DS & Wii U games line up for 2015/16 goes a little something like this and people are still complaining about the lack of games & their E3 Digital Event.

Re: Nintendo's E3 'Roadmap' Infographic Shows Off Upcoming Releases on Wii U and 3DS
Re: Splatoon Successfully Inks Top 10 Territory in UK Charts
@BLPs
My masterpiece will be years away but I'm piecing together the epic tale of Bassie The Flying Cat, a platforming game where you must use your skills to navigate the environment and get to the end.
Re: Splatoon Successfully Inks Top 10 Territory in UK Charts
@BLPs
What part of the UK do you live in? I have never anyone except for one guy act like the nutjobs on your Game Dev Course. Over here in Colwyn Bay the Course I went on had a great a great bunch of Nintendo and SEGA fanboys/girl who love playing games like Mario, Sonic, Animal Crossing and so on. Then again I was in one the better classes and some of the tutor kept saying to me why does it have to be 2D, Why the cartoony graphics and the usual blah.
Re: Latest Wii U System Update Removes TVii On European Consoles, Piles On Stability Elsewhere
Let's see now Nintendo's 3rd pillar should be something along the lines of this
Please bear in mind that is this just me speculating about something we don't know about yet. THIS IS NOT FACTUAL INFORMATION, IT'S JUST MY OPINION OK.
Re: Latest Wii U System Update Removes TVii On European Consoles, Piles On Stability Elsewhere
@Samurai_Goroh
Which could form the part of the 3rd platform that Iwata was talking about when announcing the NX a tad too early, at least that's what I believe anyway.
Re: Latest Wii U System Update Removes TVii On European Consoles, Piles On Stability Elsewhere
I think they are gearing up for a system OS overhaul in the later part of the year that will makes certain aspects of the OS work better in tandem with the pre-established features such as Friends Lists and Miiverse functionality.
Re: Fan Site Randomly Generates a "Leaked" List of Nintendo's E3 Plans
We all need to see Fierce Cheese on 3DS now it's been leaked.
Re: Fan Site Randomly Generates a "Leaked" List of Nintendo's E3 Plans
Now we know Fox and Krystal get up to in Star Fox Pantyhose for the Wii U. Also I cannot wait to play The Legend of Zelda: Communist Croissant on the 3DS.
Re: PlatinumGames to Unveil a New Title at E3
Well I got Bayo 1 (PS3), Vanquish (PS3) and Anarchy Reigns (PS3) to play and beat, I also hated the block mechanic in Metal Gear Rising Revengence as it was pointless to reinvent something didn't need reinventing. It really put me off play the game.
Re: Fan Site Randomly Generates a "Leaked" List of Nintendo's E3 Plans
@Dominicruz
Nintendo don't own the rights to Metro dude. they own the right to Metriod though and they can release it on whatever platform they want so Duck Game it.
Re: USK Reiterates That IARC, A Quick and Global Age Ratings Option, Will Come to the eShop
@manu0
I think that he should release say 2 to 3 games a week to help combat the game drought that's been plaguing Nintendo home console for the last 3 years.
Re: USK Reiterates That IARC, A Quick and Global Age Ratings Option, Will Come to the eShop
@RCMADIAX
Over the course of 5 years in timely Nintendo fashion of course.
