Re: Feature: 30 Essential Wii U eShop Games

@Captain_Gonru unless you're really obsessive about graphics, basically framerate and slightly sharper visuals is what he meant by "better" . A big plus though is that there's no tax, so the price you see is what you pay. Apart from that, there's really nothing that makes these games "better" on the ps4

I don't see how this is surprising to anyone. When you're gonna fund something, read up on it and really know what you're getting into. WiiU isn't that strong and the engine they planned on using wasn't the best for WiiU. What's sad and kinda subversive is how I mainly see everyone here fanboying about the NX and are most likely gonna get one, the project could and most likely will be released on NX, you're still getting it then so why throw a fit? Nintendo themselves have given up on the WiiU and you guys really expect a company not that big to try and push for success on a console that is dead?

Re: Feature: 25 Essential Wii U Retail Games

What a surprise that this list is made up of 1st party games on this website. As stated in the article, deus ex as well as a few others are far better and more essential than half of what's on this list. A big reason I believe why wiiu flopped was that certain people rejected 3rd party support as well in beliefs that mario or other nintendo games were far superior. Some of the games on here really offer nothing new or different or even innovative with their own gamepad which was the main gimmick of wiiu.

@Caryslan I don't have an XBO/360 but I do have a PS3/4 and honestly the sales on that are kinda lackluster apart from RE games. As for WiiU failure, aside from hardware, it's lack of 3rd party support. It's not so much that devs don't want to make games for the system, it's that nintendon't doesn't support those that want to support them. If this continues, Switch won't really make much of a difference. They're also really stingy with their 1st party games, some games have been out since 3ds launch and still are at full price. That's just ridiculous. I used to be a huge nintendo fanboy tbh, but I'm just getting sick of them at this point

Re: Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Will Run At 30 FPS On Wii U

Clockwerk

It's kinda sad that Nordic didn't give up on Wii U given how down under they kinda went, unlike Nintendo themselves who completely gave up on it. I'll buy a PS4 and Wii U version for support, but it's kinda weird to know the Wii U version may be virtually the same as the PS3 version.

Re: Darksiders is Coming to Wii U

Clockwerk

If it's $20 for all consoles, then I'll gladly triple dip on this game (I own the original) on ps4 and wiiu to support them. However, if things change down the line, my main priority will be on ps4 to experience the game Remastered with richer visuals

Re: Listing Points to Darksiders Heading to Wii U

Clockwerk

Having played the original on PS3, the point of this remaster would be to play it Remastered with better visuals and overall gameplay. Owning both a wiiu and ps4, I'm gonna get it on ps4 as getting it on wiiu would be equivalent to getting a ported version at original quality

Re: Talking Point: Considering amiibo Features and the Reality of 'Physical DLC'

Clockwerk

It wouldn't be such an issue if the content that is provided via Amiibo figures wasn't already in the game. Having to pay extra $12-16(regular price of Amiibo where I live) just to unlock something that is already in the game with no other means to unlock otherwise is nothing but a ridiculous cash grab. I can see the price range being suitable as a figurine that serves as nothing more than a collectible with some in game unlockables that would take some time to grind for (Hyrule Warriors). But using them as keys to unlock something that is already in the game which we purchase is stupid. Some defend this move as it is an actual physical figure, but truth is, this is no better than what Capcom and other companies have done.

Re: Nintendo Download: 26th November (North America)

These sales are so pathetic Some of these games are already years old and their retail prices have not gone down at all and this sale isn't even tempting at all. Its great that there are even sales, but come on Nintendo, this is just really sad.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd January (North America)

Clockwerk

@Warruz I dont think it will ever even happen, Nintendo likes being ridiculous and never putting up their first party, retail titles on sale on any occasion. And knowing that really old first party DS games haven't received a retail price drop, I dont think first party retail titles (physical or digital) will go on sale anytime soon.
