Interesting game... I'll probably still pass, for my money is currently being spent on MS points (don't flame, I just want Banjo-Tooie). I might give it a try, though. This review is quite persuasive.
@Kelvin - Ha, I have plenty of games I need to finish as well. I plan on cutting back on buying games for a while, but MadWorld was definitely worth it.
No!!! Mega Man! Oh, well. Tetris Party really is good. It's probably the only Tetris game I have ever been truly "addicted" to. I also like the original Gameboy version, but it lacks the modes and modern conveniences of the Party. Then again... it doesn't have the word party in its title, which earns it big points .
@Kelvin - In terms of MadWorld, there really aren't many weaknesses. It's not a perfect game, and it's short, but I've loved every minute of it (I'm close to the end), and I've already played several stages twice just for fun.
@Shinnok - I think Kelvin (and I) want to know why you dislike it. All you've basically said is "I hate the MS, don't ask me why, go away." Then you just stop. What? Is it some kind of graphics deal, fanboyism, or what? There's really no reason to hate a system unless it has a game all about how terrible you are. Or if it's the PS3... (just kidding). I don't like the PS3, but I have a reason. Feel free to ask me why.
@Ferret75 - I agree. I might grab it one of these days. Actually, after reading the review more thoroughly, it really does look like an interesting game! I'll probably buy it soon.
@LittleMac - "Yes i would....C64 is a terrible system along with the Master system, any week with releases from any of thoes two systems is a waste."
No. The C64 is a classic, and the Master System at least has the 8-bit Sonics, which in my opinion are pure gold. Why are you so loudmouthed, obstinate, and opinionated? It's because you're a... nope. I'm not going to go that low.
@KnucklesSonic8 (3) - I'm just going to start getting games for their original systems. I have the systems, I just usually use VC because there are literally no used game stores in my city. Nintendo really needs to put out a big hit soon. Majora's Mask would suffice (though I already have it). Contra? Why not? Where is it? I'm probably just going to start getting stuff on eBay if the output doesn't increase a little bit.
Ahh... Pop. I had a lot of fun with this for a few days after I got it, and then it kind of got boring, and I moved it to my SD card never to play it again. It was pretty fun, but can't Nnooo come up with something else?
Hmm. I think I'll give this a pass. It never ceases to amaze me how Sonic 2 on Genesis was one of the greatest games ever, but since the dawn of the 21st century, he has been the biggest disgrace ever... how sad.
This review has convinced me to spend my last few points on this. I also got Ninja Gaiden Black, and I like it. I'd like to beat Ninja Gaiden 1 first, but this game is awfully tempting. I suppose I can play all three of those at the same time for a Ninja overdose .
@KS8 - I'm reserving this space for later use, for I'm not feeling so great, but I do want to respond at some point.
A couple of things, though... 1. Please spell my username the way I spell it. Sorry, that's just a pet peeve of mine (then again, so is the term pet peeve ). 2. I understand what you're saying with MKW, which I do like, but I sort of mentioned that in my comment about Grand Theft Auto (4). It is a game that starts out sluggish, but I know it will get good for two reasons, 1. It comes from a venerated series, and 2. reviews. I just can't be bothered to spend hours waiting for a game to get good if it has received bad reviews across the board. 3. Ha, I'm not going to "freak at you." I am going to edit this with my questions and such, but I've got some stuff to get done, so I'll probably edit it later today.
Wow, that's what I call a dissappointment. Clu-Clu Land is kind of fun, though. On a completely unrelated note, I just started playing Ikaruga again, and it is superb. I love it. I recommend it to anyone that can take a challenge without whining.
@chunky_droid - That's not entirely true. I grew up on the N64, and I think many of the older classics are better than a lot of the graphics-reliant garbage we're constantly thrown today. I can play tons of classics for hours on end, but the boom in popularity in the FPS genre has passed me by, and I can barely stand to play any FPS that's not absolutley superb (unless it has zombies ). I'd rather play Sonic 2 or Mario 3 or Street Fighter 2 than a lot of the stuff made today. Heck, most of the new games I play come from older series (like Mario, Street Fighter, and Contra), so it's basically the same thing, just newer. I appreciate classics just as much as anybody, so please don't have the notion that one must have grown up with those kinds of games to appreciate them now. My current top-played game aside from Street Fighter IV is the Genesis collection, and absolutely love it, so don't judge .
@Dazza - You put in words everything I've been trying to elaborate to KnucklesSonic. I don't have time to give a game time to get good. That's just foolish when I could be playing Brawl or Street Fighter IV or Ikaruga or Contra, all of which have superb controls (even SFIV on the 360 controller). I don't want to spend time waiting for a game to get good unless it's something I know I'll like, like GTA or something. I'm starting to think that KS8 likes the underdog games just for the sake of doing so. I guess there's nothing inherently wrong with that, but I sure don't get it.
In my Street Fighter IV craze, I might just have to download this. I love the fighter genre, but I could definitely buff up my collection. This review just might have me sold. I think I'm going to do my best to recall the star rating on every game, though .
""You cant say that Legendo.... you have to be politically correct on this site or they will get you kicked off.... lol"
You're stupid, you bypassing cheater. Legendo said nothing wrong; you did by targeting a group of people unjustly and calling them obscenities. You've got a lot of growing up to do, but please spare us all the misery of doing it here. I would tattle on you, but I figure you'll get yourself kicked back off soon enough.
I'm really opposed to this change. It's just so weird. I liked having all conversation taking place under the review... Oh, well. Perhaps I'll just keep posting under reviews.
First! It's good to see C64 games in the US. Good review, but I still prefer the star system. I might be getting this, but probably not. I'm waiting for a truly fantastic game to come out sometime.
My classic gaming goodness will be covered for a while with the new Genesis/MD Collection unless Nintendo really releases something great soon. Street Fighter IV will also help me bide my time while the VC releases 1 game per week. That's not a problem entirely, but we haven't exactly been getting AAA titles every week.
@Mickeymac and Nintendork - The story wasn't that hard! Secondly there was a grand prix mode, and the crazy track design was what made it insanely fun in combat. Difficulty should never count against a game. It builds character. The difficulty was in track memorization, which isn't hard to begin with. The same concept goes into Mega Man games, which plenty of people love. @longtimegamer- You don't have to "find the good" in a genuinely good game. It's just immediately and consistantly good.
Oh, and Nintendork; you never actually asked me a question (no question mark); all you did was insult Captain Falcon. Good luck dealing with him!
@KS8- I'm a cynic; it's my job to think everything good is bad. And yes, I do think it is foolish to look for the good in a game solely for the sake of doing so. Why don't you just play genuinely good games?
@Mickeymac- Why didn't you like F-Zero GX? I thought it was great with no flaws to speak of (aside from voice acting). I was just wondering what you thought was bad about it. I have every NA released F-0, and GX is one of my favorites. GP Legend is probably my favorite.
@Mickeymac - Yeah. It takes me until death to finally get a hadouken off with the d-pad. It takes me fewer tries to do it with the stick, but I have little control over whether or not it'll be flaming or not. Here's hoping the new game pads will be well made. I can also use them for Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, which I also got. It's excellent.
@Shinnok - No, you just have set a limit on what games you can play. You have an age complex.
@Viral - I like de Blob, but you really have to make sure you have time to play when you do. It can take upwards of an hour and a half to complete a level unless you truly do the bare minimum. I need to beat that game. I've been to obsessed with getting my 131st jiggy in BKN&B lately. Fortunately, I got it, so I can finally play other games .
To anyone who hasn't tried it, Ristar is fantastic! It's on about a dozen Sega collections, including the upcoming one, but it's still good if you're not interested in much else.
@Mickeymac - Ugh! I think the 360 D-pad is horrible! I'm actually being suckered into buying that extra SF controller because I hate it so much. It makes combos and fatalities in MK a pain, so I can't imagine SFIV would suffer any less from this problem. Then again, I'm not very familiar with the series, having only played variations of SFII.
@Shinnok - Yeah, I see what you're saying, but I love tried and true characters, not new ones. Who was that new fighter in MK4 that was the opposite of Raiden? It's on the tip of my tongue... not Quan Chi... not Fujin... anyway, I hate that guy (just kidding ). I want SFIV and the new Genesis collection, but I can't afford both if I also get the SFIV controller to bypass the 360's horrible D-Pad. I suppose I can just earn more money. What a concept.

Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword (DS)
I've been on the fence about this one for a while. I saw it for pretty cheap, so an 8/10 just might sell me.
Re: Game & Watch Collection
I sense foreshadowing.
Re: Review: Bubble Bobble Plus! (WiiWare)
Nice review. I've still not tried the original Bubble Bobble, but I'll definitely get this game
Re: Review: Insmouse No Yakata (VB)
In regards to VB emulation, I'd at least like to see a remake of VB Wario Land. That game looks great.

@#36 - Ha!
@RADE - Just because Capcom has "cap" in it that doesn't mean you have to type that way.
Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (1st Apr)
Hmm... same old, same old, as they say...
Re: USA VC Update: Super Punch-Out!!
What is this!? First the change from 5 to 10, now this. Why!?
Re: Review: Gaplus (Arcade)
I believe I've played this in an arcade. I liked it, but I probably wouldn't buy it.
Re: SD Card Game Launching + Arcade Games Available on VC Now!
Yes! Ha! What great news! I've been off the internet for a while only to return to this? That's superb. I need to go update my Wii now.

What a review! I now really want this colorful and fun looking platformer when it comes to the US. It looks really good!
Re: Nnooo Interview - Pop Plus: Solo
Wow! That's quite an interview. I'll read it and post later with my thoughts. Jeez.
Re: USA VC Update: Summer Games II
@Shinnok - A person mistaking this for a forum! What has the world come to?
Oh, and I bet I can find one person who doesn't like Paper Mario, making it not unanimous and therefore not a classic. Hooray for flawed logic.
@Ferret75 - I agree. It does look rather entertaining.

Hooray. More ninjas!
Re: USA VC Update: Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars
@bendover83 - I too got all of the achievements, but that's not why I got the game. I got it for the awesome Genesis games.
Off topic, has anyone seen that ridiculous ad for some Hatsworth or Hattington or whatever game? It makes the site look ridiculous...
