Re: Poll: Get Your Votes In For Nintendo's Game Of The Decade

CEObrainz

@ShankyMcSpanky it's fine to feel that way but for me BotW fails as a Zelda title. They tried something new and for me it didn't work. As a more general open world adventure game though it's fantastic. Mario Odyssey though is near perfect for me. Honestly it's sad that there was no DLC for it.

The Sequel to BotW though could be my favorite Zelda if they take the best aspects of BotW and actually throw in the old elements that people loved from the standard Zelda formula.

That's very cool. Would love to also see a Metroid Varia suit power up.

I also wouldn't mind paying for a new style. But I think the game needs more visual customisation, more music choices and maybe tweaking the multiplayer versus as to me that's the best part of the game but still under-developed.

@russell-marlow Honestly that's sad. I feel like Nintendo should embrace those aspects. You can be a bounty hunter without doing anything shady, heck her actions in some of the games already state her accepting contracts and doing things against her clients wishes (thinking of Fusion for the latter point). Being able to take on bounties (e.g hunt X species of bad aliens attacking a colony) for rewards like power-ups would be great for a future title.

Re: Breath Of The Wild Mod Finally Lets Zelda Forge Her Own Legend

@Fuz we don't plan on making the story "wild" (lame pun intended) but just that it makes sense with Zelda instead of Link. Stretch goals once the tools release will allow us to replace cutscenes with in-game scenes which will allow us to recreate practically everything but in a continuity that makes sense.

@Donutman I would personally hate if someone tried to make a "male Samus", but this is different. We're Zelda fans that like the character Zelda and want the opportunity to play as her, we also plan on changing the story to accommodate those changes.

Re: And Just Like That, Customer Reviews On The Nintendo Site Are No More

CEObrainz

@nhSnork I'm sure there are plenty of people who played something longer than 2 hours and gave their impression of the game. I've played BotW for at least 100 hours, certainly enjoyed playing parts of it but I can say with confidence that it's my least favorite in the franchise.

Of course the majority of reviews are probably not like this but I doubt it's mainly those that haven't had a "full" experience of said game.

Re: Nintendo Reiterates That It's Not Interested In Virtual Reality Or 4K Support

@deucezulu22 I think you really dont get it. Being a portable device limits the potential of the Switch regardless of what you see inside it otherwise the current one we have would be beefier. But forget that, I wasn't even talking about the Switch, I'm talking about a proper home console which the Switch is not. Mobile hardware will still fall short of more grounded tech for the near future based on current trends. I simply want to see a future console invest in more powerful hardware not a Switch 2.

Re: Nintendo Reiterates That It's Not Interested In Virtual Reality Or 4K Support

CEObrainz

@deucezulu22 Did you even read what I said? The Switch as a portable device is clearly held back for realistic reasons, but I want to see a more powerful home console. I'm not interested in 4K or VR but having 1 or 2GB of more RAM on a non-portable device would go a long way for their games. Breath of the Wild (as an example) has blood moons for a technical reason (clearing up RAM) alongside the in-game explanation.

@SanderEvers I know that since I have a copy of it, which is why I said he could call it something else and it'd be fine.

@Godsent Somehow I doubt they'd lose their IP. Please show me where this is the case. You can't bring copyright law into a case that has no copied content. Sander is somewhat correct calling it a trademark issue.
