Re: Soapbox: Why Grand Theft Auto V Isn't For Me

BossBattles

GTA is satire....ever seen a great film with violence in it?

Ever vote for a president that has a kill list and starts illegal wars?

Support the cops in their agenda to put non-violent criminals in violent jails?

Lets not be TOTAL hypocrites if we can help it.

The majority of females do not get into gaming and they also have an active disdain for them. The industry doesnt need to pander to them.
Does Oprah's network pander to men because they feel "left out"?

NO.

Not everything needs to be totally balanced between the genders at all times.
I can enjoy animal crossing and GTAV in the same day, because i love gaming and I'm not afraid of digital violence.

Re: Talking Point: Marketing Wii U to the Masses

BossBattles

I absolutely love the gamepad. it is ahead of its time and people are crazy to think the wii u should be sold without it. I love the wii u console and its only going to get better and better.

the "problem" with the system is in its marketing, but also the changing culture of gaming where you really don't have that many that actually love the hobby, but instead just play one or two games a year as war simulators or sports simulators or whatever is trending among their semi-brain dead friends.

Re: Talking Point: With Calls for Nintendo to Follow the Crowd, It Faces a Dilemma

BossBattles

Todays gaming media is horrendous. It is almost always negative and ignorant towards nintendo. Why do they get picked on constantly?
It is a directed effort. It took years, but it has now broken through and changed gaming culture and now young gamers are cynical and clueless about what a console really is and what the hobby is all about.

There is no major issue. Nintendo made mistakes with its marketing of thr wii u, but it doesn't have to be the cause for debate everyday.

All console makers make massive mistakes. Who cares. Games keep being created, and my wii u collection is huge and its been less than a year.

Re: Wii U Name Isn't To Blame For Poor Sales, Says Reggie

BossBattles

Your average person can't comprehend what a Wii U is. It is an issue, no doubt.
There is also media hatred for the company that has gained momentum in recent years.
Nintendo has to re-brand the console and aggressively make surprising moves to make people take notice.

Re: Wii U Deluxe Model Gets Official $50 Price Cut in North America

BossBattles

@DerpSandwich please share with the group what console ever has tons of games at launch or in its first year. There is nothing about the wii u or 3DS that was "worse" compared to any other console.

Gamers have lost their minds. Ive enjoyed the console for 10 months, why would i wait just to save a measely 50 bucks. I guess most people posting here dont have jobs and have to beg mom for things. Again....sad.

Re: The Wonderful 101 Struggles In Its First Week At Japanese Retail

BossBattles

I say it all the time...the problem is not nintendo, the problem is that gamers have changed drastically...most are simply NOT interested in creative & original gameplay, and most HATE nintendo consoles, but hypocriticially in their hipster way pretend to love 8 & 16-bit nintendo.

Gamers are not into their own hobby all that much. Very sad.

Re: Review: The Wonderful 101 (Wii U)

BossBattles

The mark of a deep and great game is to be challenged enough to make you better at it over time. Too many games hold your hand the whole time.
The controls for this game are perfect. But only if you "do your best".

Re: Feature: A Brief History of Pikmin

BossBattles

Pikmin 1 was fun because of the 30 day calendar. Pikmin 2 was fun to go for 100% of the items. I'm hoping Pikmin 3 surprises me in some way and really shows me some new things, but even if it doesn't, i'll enjoy it.

Re: Just 3% of All Ubisoft's Sales Came From Wii U in Q2 2013

BossBattles

Zombi U not getting a sequel is tragic. It is the best survival horror game to come out in years, and it has so much potential.

Ubisoft is dumb to drop a great new IP just because its first time out wasn't a runaway success. Don't they realize that sometimes you have to build success slowly?
