Re: Cliff Bleszinski Likens The Wii To A "Virus"

@Tony_342

Great comments....total agreement. The Wii was a truly amazing console when enjoyed the way it should be, which is to simply play great games. They may not be the SAME games the HD consoles had, but it had its own library, and it was very creative and innovative, and had some of the best installments of popular Nintendo franchises ever.

Still amazed how much hate it gets. I think down the road this will change. 10 years from now people will look at its catalog of titles and realize just how good it was. Real gamers know this NOW.

Havent bought games for my 360 for 2 years, but still getting games like Xenoblade, The Last Story, Rhythm Heaven, and soon Pandora's Tower.....

If its a virus, consider me infected!!!!

Wii also had numerous 3rd party games NOBODY else had....and they were great experiences. So sad gamers are so negative about everything unless its a bloody military shooter. "SO MATURE".

@The_Fox Evidence? Sure, meet me at the courthouse tomorrow, and i'll show you my documents and graphs. It doesn't take "evidence" to know something. I know school teaches you to believe whatever you are told in books and that is "truth", and TV tells you to believe them, and politicians tell you to believe them, but no, only trust YOURSELF and discover how to sharpen your discernment skills.

Its very simple. Where are all the other analysts? Why is he so nintendo-centric? Why is he necessary? he is not. Investors know what they are doing without some chump blabbing ever other week with his spin on the company, where he always slants negative.

C'mon kids. wake up.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto: People Need To Be Patient With Wii U

BossBattles

There ARE games, good ones....gamers have just changed drastically in the last few years.....the younger generation is obsessed with the world adapting to their every little desire, not realizing they're the ones that suffer when they don't develop skills of adapting to how reality is, not what they demand in their confused minds.

Re: Talking Point: The Downside to Delayed Releases on Wii U

BossBattles

@Ren

gamers like you are kind of pitiful. the system has been out a few months...it takes lots of time to get moving with amazing AAA games. It is pitiful that people are so clueless nowadays and don't understand these cycles.

the 3DS is just now hitting a great stride and its been TWO YEARS. Have patience, and there will be cool stuff. there always is.

I think you participation trophy ADHD kids are fatalistic and unconsolable.

Re: Talking Point: The Downside to Delayed Releases on Wii U

BossBattles

I wonder if Nintendo could have shelled out some cash to keep this one released on time....i think its good business to do that sort of thing. but they are probably too proud.

The Rayman Legends delay was the biggest slap in the face I've ever felt as a gamer, and usually i let things slide. Won't buy the game new, even though I'd love to play it. Will play it on Wii U at some point, but they aren't going to get my money directly.

Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo

BossBattles

Gamers have turned into self obsessed, trendy tech whores, only able to see what their peers let them, or gaming media reports. Nobody has a creative mnd of their own it seems, totally unable to enjoy gaming as a fun hobby, instead constantly pointing out flaws, imperfections and limitations. Its boring, unproductive, and it hurts everybody.

All companies make mistakes and fail on certain levels, but that is LIFE. It is not the gamers job to constantly audit Nintendo and penalize it for not being exactly what YOU expect and DEMAND.

Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo

BossBattles

The 3DS has been out 2 years and is just now hitting its stride. This stuff takes time, but young and ignorant kids don't understand these things AT ALL.

Wii U...its been out 4 months LOL. The reasons many aren't buying it are simply dumb. Gaming culture is quickly becoming TOXIC.

Its a great console even after 4 months, as long as u are an intelligent gamer that doesn't have 100's of hang-ups about things that truly do not matter.

Re: Nintendo Spells Out Why You Should Pick Wii U In Promotional Flyer

BossBattles

People ARE largely stupid and can't figure out the simplest of things....combine that with nintendos HORRIBLE marketing and bad name and U have problems.

It can be fixed, but its going to take effort to find a new way to connect with the public. Its tough, because people are more and more negative and aloof about nintendo because the attacks from pachter, hipster gaming media have begun to take a toll.

Re: Reaction: Doom and Gloom Merchants on Wii U Being Nintendo's Last Home Console

BossBattles

I remember the Nintendo 3DS doom. all along i just said to wait and see.

It ALWAYS takes a minimum of a year to even begin to really see how much content will be coming to a console. 2 years before you really see things get fully into gear.

I'm really exciting for Lego City and may even pick up Monster Hunter. Having a blast with Runner 2, and looking forward to Toki Tori 2. Whatever. There are games to play. Not tons, but they are coming, and some of the games coming are truly exciting.

Re: Reaction: Doom and Gloom Merchants on Wii U Being Nintendo's Last Home Console

BossBattles

Such a sign of our times. People are less and less intelligent. They lack discernment, patience, understanding, common sense and awareness.

The most disturbing thing people lack is nuance. Everything is either DOOM or AMAZING. nobody had a dial to understand there is always a middle ground and almost nothing is truly all one way or another. Life is a mixture of things.

I'm so tired of gamers cannibalizing their own hobby. What is is the point of constantly criticizing and whining about your own hobby. Why not be welcoming to new consoles and give them a chance? Why is there this madness among gamers where they feel like they have to belong to a "winning team"?

It's that reflection of society that we are currently in. People are losing it. They aren't as intelligent as they think they are, and this is more proof that people jump to conclusions because their attention spans are shot, and they need immediate stimulation.

These uncreative and unhappy people sit by the sidelines of life and pass out negativity when its not applicable and don't understand the creative process and how these things TAKE TIME.

Gaming is not going to go away and fail because of the games themselves, but because the person playing the game lost touch with it, and truly does not understand it anymore. Very sad.

Re: Talking Point: Review Scores and Unwinnable Arguments

BossBattles

I used to not care, but now im of the thought that scores are pretty problematic when it comes to games like Castlevania Mirror of Fate, because people will approach that game expecting something that just isn't there, and was not designed to be.

Damned ifnyou do, damned if you don't.

Complain games don't change, and complain when they do.
