@BloodNinja The two Vermintide games are really good, Darktide looks to be shaping up well also.

I also quite liked the Chaosbane game.

Unfortunately unless you're into strategy or turn based games there isn't too many GW based games out there.

Got the physical version pre-ordered, been a fair wait but hope it's worth it.

Missed out on the collectors edition sadly.

@Slowdive Price I get but you pay a premium for something like this where it's not from your own country. Same if I purchased a game or CD from Japan for example.

I don't agree about FOMO being a large factor, the vast majority of the games they put out would never get a physical release in the first place since doing so is quite costly and simply not feasible. It's this or nothing.

Anything in a limited or physical capacity is going to run out and be hard to track down at some point, that stretches far back be it books, vinyl, games or films. As long as it is available in some other form where you can support the creator then I don't see the problem though understand the irritation.

When it isn't and the creator gets nothing (Ripper era JP albums for example) then it becomes an issue.

@Slowdive What exactly is wrong with Limited Run?

They put out so many physical releases that simply would not exist without them so they aren't taking away anything from anyone else. They even offer a 4 week window for pre-orders now, far better than they used to.

Even the shipping is fair.

@Ghost_of_Hasashi Unless she's been in recently then not Arcana Heart, she is in the Million Arthur game on PS4 which is from same team (or similar), never localized sadly. Fun fighter though.

Love the art but being a tactical RPG is just nope sadly. Tried Disgaea, Fire Emblem, FF Tactics, Record of Agarest War, even Pokemon Conquest but none have managed to crack through for me.

Expectedly people complaining that a game doesn't conform to their standard by appealing to someone who isn't them. Sad.

Sounds more like a criticism of on rails shooters as a genre than a game. Every 'negative' I could quite easily point to other on rails shooters be they HotD, all those Wii ones and whatever comes out now.

Plus the obligatory looking down at people who like these games expected from NL.

@tanaka2687 I don't play demos in general, don't want to dampen my excitement for a game by experiencing some of it myself before hand, want to go in as blind as possible in terms of actually playing.

That method hasn't done me wrong yet.

Previews work for me as most of the time it's just a video, images or text, a completely different experience to actually playing.

Worth getting other opinions on it rather than treating this as the gospel, do that and it appears rather more mixed.

Destructoid are very positive about it and I trust them more than any other site.

Not gonna get the Switch version because it's gonna be the worst way to play it.

Eh, I prefer the approach of making characters that fit that particular sexuality rather than just make everyone like that though that would mean more work so yeah nope ain't gonna happen.

Not gonna happen though, this looks like it requires effort which is not a word Game Freak knows the meaning of. The absolute bare minimum (and not even that) is Game Freaks ethos.

I would be surprised that people would send death threats to someone for something as minimal as this but then I remembered its sadly a common and worryingly growing thing these days.

Doesn't matter if you're a small developer, Jk Rowling or an average Joe, 1 death threat is 1 too many.

Anyway censorship is never a good thing unless you want that sweet, sweet China money from Winnie the Pooh then by all means bend over backwards for it like CDP or any number of Western companies do.

@Jmjfrank Yeah remember seeing Caddi's videos on YT about it at the time of the change. Sadly never experienced it prior to that.

The daily or weekly coin challenges gave you a pittance and online was pretty much dead when I played which made it worse.

@JustMe Yeah never felt a purposeful grind as disgusting as this game. Took an age for one character you have to hope randomly appears in the store never mind karts, skins, wheels etc.

A shame as the actual game is the best kart racer in years and the free dlc tracks are wonderful. Pure greed ruins it.

The spin-offs allow the most creativity with the formula, whether it's the absurd masterpiece of One Piece or even my personal favourite Berserk and the Band of the Hawk it makes each one feel unique.

If all you played were the Dynasty, Samurai or Orochi games you might not appreciate it but the formula can be applied and tweaked or enhanced with just about any property.

The people who want content censored have ZERO intent of actually experiencing it. You use a variety of sources to get the facts. All sites have their own agenda but looking at multiple you can see between the lines so to speak.

I read The Guardian, Daily Mail, The Times and some of the red tops. I also view a lot of political YouTubers for US based content since over here it is ALL anti-Trump, anti-right wing drivel. Just turn on the BBC to get a 100% anti-Trump triade.

I don't think Trumps attack on media was entirely justified at first but after the barrage of fake news and hate campaigns against him I can understand it. The Russia hoax, twisting every word he says, the 'he praised neo-nazis' lies, the blatant racist attacks on him. When 99% of the media hates him and tech companies deplatform anyone not following the herd it makes you think.

Not surprised the Sherlock rights issues are likely one of the reasons they never came over. Seems in Japan they can do a lot more with actual names and stuff like that. I mean one look at the Jojo franchise and all the characters / stands names that have to change when released over here and it's astonishing how many there are.

Is funny with Jojo though as if you watched subbed you can still clearly hear the band name despite the subs being completely different.

Damn that's impressive, shows what a worldwide mega property and the reception it's sequel / prequel gets you. Other series like One Piece and Dragon Quest never quite had the worldwide appeal BotW did.

Biggest takeaway from this for me is that Mega Man Soccer is a thing apparently, never knew that and now I want to check that out.

I d like the look of the unit itself, very retro. It'd be nice if they could have swapped out at least one of the SFs for a Darkstalkers.

I personally wouldn't get this as I'm not a fan of SF or Mega Man (too hard for me) but would get one if they brought a different set of games to it.

@Munchlax I could have sworn Three Houses was originally scheduled for 3DS at some point then switched to the Switch. Sure I read it Nintendo related site but trying to find where aint easy. Maybe I was mistaken.

If it was solely scheduled for Switch then that makes it worse since visually it one of the worst from Nintendo's first party output but it was successful so that's all that matters.

@NinChocolate It did? Huh, though I guess with mobile you don't have the issue of blowing it up on a screen like with Switch.

Makes sense, porting 3DS games requires a fair bit more effort and they don't look quite right when upscaled or even with a tad more polish. We've seen games when switched from 3DS to Switch development (SwSh, Three Houses) that look very poor. Best to focus resources on the new entry.

I know stories like this are in the minority but it doesn't half make me wary or ordering consoles from online retailers.

Then again it only seems to be an issue with newly launched in demand pieces of tech be it consoles, graphics cards or phones. When there is plentiful stock you never really see this.

Should be fairly easy to track down the culprits for these though so the police can charge them if they're not too busy investigating mean messages on the internet.

@AndyC_MK84 I think that yeah to most their output hasn't been stellar, especially the Xbox One era or the Kinect works, I do think that 360 era produced some of their best work though.

And fair enough if you think their games haven't been as value for money, everyone has their own take on that and none are wrong.

Will get around to this when I get my Series X (eventually). Loved Nuts and Bolts but never had the first 2. Strangely enough played the 2 GBA games as well.

@AndyC_MK84 Killer Instinct 2013 is lauded as one of the best (if not THE best) fighters of this past generation though. It may get another on Series X.

As for Rare not being as prolific I think that is incredibly harsh, games take far longer and much more manpower to make these days so naturally they aren't going to make as much. What they have is fantastic by all counts.

I may be very alone in this but I think the Microsoft buyout has worked out well. Kameo, PDZ, Banjo 3 and Viva Pinata was out of left field but oh so good. Not had a chance to play the last gen output from them but I will be putting that right in the future (not Kinect though, just no).

I read an interview with Phil Spencer where he said he leaves it in effect up to developers to make what they want, seems Rare doesn't really want to jump back into what they used to make which is fair enough, most of their beloved games were fresh new ideas.

In ads, yeah it's hypocritical from companies who pretend to be against what she is. Ain't gonna change though.

I only know Awkwafina from a comedy show she did that also had the former psychiatrist from Law and Order SVU. I did like that alot.

Shame to see this but I hadn't heard of them and the games they were gonna go for were, less that than notable Guilty Gear aside. As with any limited run distributor the games are key. Plenty of other companies doing similar do well but they pick up the the right games so to speak.
