Eh, at least it wasn't as insulting as the things Bob Summerwill of EA said... I see nothing wrong with the cars, they're free, and are still cartoonishly proportioned, so I don't see what the big deal is. "Pikmin 2" had way more product cameos in it, and hardly anyone complained. Not to mention they had "Pizza Hut" ads in old TMNT games, and KFC in Sega's "Dynamite Ducks," so advertising in games is nothing new.
Also, sense I have a "Seven-Eleven" near me, I kinda hope they bring the "Seven-Eleven" store items they had in Japan for "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" in America to.
Is Boulder Dash worth it? Especially at that low a price?
Nice to see the Virtual Console is picking up the pace with 2 WiiU VC titles, (even if they're already on 3DS) and the first new Gameboy Color VC game for 3DS in a loooong time.
Before people complain it could've been worse. It could've been the bikini from the original NES game's "best" ending.
Also, Eh, I didn't like that Melee stage much. I liked the N64 Brinstar stage better, as it felt a li'l larger. (I know some will disagree with me on that.) I hope they have some N64 stages included, and not just Melee & Brawl retro stages...
@retro_player_22 Not to mention Howard Lincoln doesn't work for Nintendo of America anymore either. While I admit perhaps what he did was a jerk-move on his part, (Though, I guess it's no different then how Sega used to always bash his company, products, and such in their advertising back then. Probably why he did it) it still is rather petty to hold a grudge against an entire company over what one dude did. I mean Sega & Nintendo became buds after all their fighting in the '90s.
And yeah as people pointed out the passive-aggressive remark that the WiiU "needs their third-party support," (implying they don't have enough, when the Eshop, and such says otherwise) was a bit rude, but also a bit ironic. As the game they're remaking dispite having a small cult-fanbase, is often said to be a bad/mediocre game.
But it has some historical signifigance, as it's also one of the games that lead to the creation of the ESRB rating system. (Though, to be fair the media/congress did get the wrong idea of the game's premise, thinking you stalk women in the game, when you're actually trying to protect them.)
Y'know, Metal Sonic has never appeared in any of the Sonic TV shows, aside from the OVA anime "Movie." (Which was actually a 3-episode anime video mini-series in Japan.)
So it's great to see him in the show. Nice to have Shadow back to, though I think he should wear a scarf, or something to. Hehe
Metal does appear quite frequently in the officially-licensed Sonic comics though, despite not getting many animated appearances.
@Gerbwmu Well, keep in mind, back in the '80s this game used to be $40!
But yeah, sometimes I wish they had differing prices for "simplistic" NES games, like they do the simpler Gameboy games on 3DS. (Though, I will say $6 for the GBColor Zelda games & Mario Tennis is 1 dollar to much... They should not cost more then NES games... Glad I got the "Oracle" games when they were on sale for a $1-off each when they were first released.) I would've gladly gotten Balloon Fight for $3, or $4 by now.
Y'know, "Mole Mania" is quite long for a $3 game, probably making it one of the best "buys" off the Virtual Console.
@KnightRider666 Indeed, granted we got a Japan-only game last week, I'm not going to hold my breath for more Japan-only VC games anytime soon... (Some would require translating, something Nintendo's not willing to do, to sell a $5 game.)
Plus, "Devil World" might be to "controversial" for American audiences, especially those who always act offended by seeing a lower-case letter "T." I don't think it looks "offensive" to religious people though.
I kinda wish Nintendo wasn't so strict with their 1-2 games a week for Virtual Console policy... Seriously, I've been waiting for "Bubble Bobble," which has been out in Japan's 3DS VC sense October last year... (Not to mention, they have the entire "Donkey Kong Land" Gameboy trilogy, as well. I'll be amazed if we ever get those anytime soon.) Not to mention "Blaster Master" took nearly 2 years to get here, as well. I hate to sound pessimistic, but at this rate we're lucky to get 1 VC games a week for either console...
I don't think they look that bad personally. One huge improvement is that the second "C-stick" has a mushroom shape. The C-stick was the only thing I hated about the GameCube controller, as it wasn't that comfortable to use without that top part. I compared the images to my GCN controller, and the shape, and such matches it perfectly, so it doesn't look like those cheap nock-off GameStop pads to me. They look more comfy.
Also, sense Virtual Console SNES games on WiiU have mappable/custom controls, this means using these controllers with "Super Mario World" won't be impossible anymore.
@Dogpigfish
I don't know, the Gameboy was the first successful portable console. Before it, most game handhelds were just Game & Watches, or cheap Tiger handhelds... The Gameboy was a huge step up from them, and was basically like carrying an NES wherever you go. The green screen may be primitive by today's standards, but the first time I looked into it as a kid, I was amazed.
Also, the Game Gear was still blurry at times, used more batteries then a Gameboy, and only lasted 2 hours on said battery life, which is a tiny fraction of the ammount the Gameboy could last. So it honestly wasn't much better, even with color. (Even most of the Sonic games for it felt very watered-down for it compared to the console versions, while games like "Super Mario Land 2" were more comparible in quality to the console versions. In fact, I feel "Link's Awakening" had better graphics then the NES Zeldas, and it's gameplay quality was just as good as the SNES game.)
As for a backlit Gameboy, while that sounds nice for indoor/night-time play, that also means you can't play it on roadtrips in the car, because the daylight being brighter then the screen makes the screen impossible to see.
I love my 3DS XL, but find it annoying I can't play it in the car during the day when riding on long trips with others... (Even on the brightest setting it still looks quite dark in the car sometimes unless it's a cloudier day, or when the sun sets.)
I actually like this new system. It's going to help collecting them be less tedious. Also, nice to hear the 3DS version is going to be packed with extras. (Some people worried it was going to be watered down compared to the WiiU version.)
Also, I like Wiley's trophy. Hope there's a Dr. Eggman one to in his Egg Mobile.
Is it me, or are Club Nintendo download game prizes getting to expensive? When they started giving out VC games in North America like Super Mario Kart, three and a half years ago were only 100 coins, while games like "Majora's Mask" were 200. Now you need 200 coins just to get a FIVE dollar game! This is getting ridiculous.
Now I wish I did get "Mario Golf GBC" when it was only 150 coins... (At the time, I thought even that was to much.) Now it's 200 coins. Yeesh, are they just going to keep increasing the prices? At these prices, you might as well just buy them from the Eshop for regular money. (Unless you're really really cheap, and have many Club Nintendo coins that you have to use before they expire.)
Only good deal here is perhaps "Star Fox 64," but I already have it. I'm a li'l tempted to get "Mario Golf" before it becomes 250 or 300 coins next year though... But part of me fears something better will be out next month.
I still don't understand the sheer amount of games released for every system but the Nintendo one... It's been like that sense the '90s. (I mean sure there's going to be a 3DS one, so at least this time is somewhat of an exception.)
I mean, I hate to sound like a fanboy, but how many games can you think of released for every system, but the Microsoft/X-Box one? How many games can you think of released for Nintendo, and X-Box, but NOT the Playstation system? Is there some technical things wrong with the Nintendo systems keeping certain games off them, (like the Wii being a bit underpowered) or do some companies just don't want to bother with Nintendo thinking it wouldn't be a big moneymaker for them? (Cough!*EA*Cough!)
I'm a Sonic fan, and I thought it was hilarious personally. I like how the music, and intro even parody the original 1993 "Sonic the Hedgehog" SatA.M. TV series' theme song.
Now I question why some people keep hedgehogs as pets, if they do rub whatsit on themselves tho'...
@Unca_Lz Well, he does still have a fanbase, believe it or not. Not to mention His games do sell decently enough, he has 3 comic book series now running simultaniously, has had several TV shows, (and one coming soon) is going to be in the next SSB, and is getting a movie. I'd say Sonic is doing well for a "non-relevant" video game character.
@drewb0203 While I'd love to see GBA & SNES games to, you're selling the 3DS's VC library a bit short, as there are are NES, Gameboy, and GBColor games just as good as them.
Don't let the lack of color fool you, Mole Mania, Metroid 2, Donkey Kong '94, and Wario Land are some pretty deep Gameboy games.
@Kaze_Memaryu I don't know, if nerd hackers can do things like put Derpy Hooves in Link's place in "A Link to the Past," and do many other things to SNES games, they might not be as hard to hack, alter, or recreate as you think. (Or at least, not "impossible.")
@gregrout As much as I like the new games, the "Virtual Console" was actually also a selling-point for the Wii, and 3DS for me personally, being a retro-gamer who shys away from illegal/unofficial emulators. Personally, I have more VC games then "new" games on both systems.
@Chomposaur I don't understand that assumption either that it's "impossible for the 3DS to run SNES games." SNES games aren't as much data as people think, (the biggest cartridges could only hold 32-megs of memory, and some game cartridges only used 4-megs) not to mention, people can get illegal/unofficial SNES emulators working easily on some pretty cheap computer hardware.
One guy on Youtube I saw even made a portable hand-held SNES system using parts from an SNES, and such.
@AK-1138 While I disagree that SMB2 was "unplayable" in 8-bit form, the first 3 GBA Super Mario Advance remakes, (as well as "Kirby Nightmare in DreamLand," and the "Metroid Zero Mission" remakes) are actually all out in Japan's 3DS Virtual Console now if you look at their official site. This actually marks the first time alternate versions/remakes to first-party games were brought to VC. (Hopefully, this means we'll get "Dr. Mario 64," as it's one of my favorite versions of Dr. Mario.)
@Windy I find it odd to, considering the "3D Classics" line are among their best-selling Eshop titles. (Heck, Kirby's Adventure 3D is still in the top 10 best selling Eshop games according to the official site.) Don't know why Nintendo, or Akira haven't made more 3D Classics. Would be nice to see at least one 3D Classics game that isn't an NES, Sega, or arcade game.
@IceClimbers I agree, plus it just seems odd that GBAdvance games aren't on a portable system like they originally were. (Granted they could be played on a Tv via GBPlayer on GameCube, but still...) I'd rather play GBA games on a 3DS, especially sense I don't have a WiiU yet. (Or better yet, it'd be nice if they had a cross-platform deal between the WiiU & 3DS with the GBA games.)
@sleepinglion To be fair, they did kinda hype "EarthBound" at last year's E3, sense it was the most wanted/requested game to come to VC sense the VC service was introduced in 2006, according to most sources. (Including Nintendo Power magazine.) I think it's more like "Nintendo of America" doesn't care about the VC service, as Japan & Europe have more VC games then Americans at this point. (Still, waiting for "Bubble Bobble" to come to 3DS, and such.)
Would rather get a physical copy if I'm paying that much for it. Though, I suppose technically it's the same price as buying the 3 WiiWare versions. (Which are $10 each.)
Plus at least the Eshop tends to have unexpected temporary sales, and price cuts. (Got Rayman 3D & Rayman Orgins for 8 bucks each from a recent sale the Eshop did, and they're also $30 games.)
Those games would look awesome in 3D, especially the Mode-7 F-Zero, and SMK. Frankly, I'd be happy if they released SNES or GBA games on 3DS even without 3D visuals added honestly.
I love 8-bit games, but it's a shame the 3DS's Virtual Console only consists of 8-bit games.
I find it kinda hard to buy that the 3DS is incapable of emulating/recreating SNES games. (Super FX Chip tech aside. Seeing how they couldn't even do that on the Wii, or just didn't care to, in order to sell $8 games...)
Considering it's had GBA games for their "ambassedor" program, (which are more powerful then SNES ones, except in sound quality) recreated Sega Genesis games, (M2 said they created emulator software for their 3D Sega games, so it wouldn't be impossible to do the same for the SuperNES) and even a DreamCast game is on 3DS if you count "Rayman 3D."
So it doesn't make sense why SNES games "can't" be recreated/emulated on it... I honestly think the reason is either Nintendo doesn't want to go through the trouble to make the emulation software, (the fact, the fact they barely update the Virtual Console kinda shows it's not a "top-priority" for them) or they just want to keep SNES games on Wii/WiiU in order to give each system some exclusive games from the other. (I assume this is why GBA games were surprisingly brought to WiiU instead of predictably the 3DS.)
Oh awesome! Been waiting nearly a year for "Blaster Master!" (Odd it took that long, the GBC sequel's been on 3DS for a long time.) Been waiting for it, and other Japanese VC games, (like Bubble Bobble) for a long time.
This stage actually looks cool, and I like the multilayered platforms for each house floor. and it's surprising to see a more up-to-date stage from a more recent game, (seeing how they don't usually keep these games up-to-date seeing how Brawl had a "Sunshine" stage, and such)
Also, glad to see a classic Sonic stage for 3DS, considering Sonic fans were quite divided over the "Lost World" game.
Is the Gameboy Color one for 3DS any good? (I feel it's a bit overpriced at 6 bucks... Yeesh, they don't even charge 6 bucks for "Lost Levels" anymore.) Don't have a WiiU yet.
This game's been on my Eshop wish list for awhile, so I'm glad to hear that. Though, if I'm paying $20 for a game, I'd usually rather get a physical copy for that price, but we'll see once I get another $20 to spend. (Saving up for SSB 3DS.)
Meh, once again no Virtual Console game for us 3DS-owners. (Goodness, I've been waiting for "Bubble Bobble" sense it was released in Japan back in October! It's been almost a year! Not to mention Japan also has the entire "Donkey Kong Land" Gameboy trilogy for 3DS. No clue if issues with Rare/Microsoft will keep it off the American/European Eshops, or not... Japan has less strict copyright laws.)
Steamworld Dig at the lower price looks tempting though, is it worth 5 bucks?
Personally, I love the Archie Comic Sonic the Hedgehog series, (regardless of it's ups, and downs, luckily I missed most of the downs like the notorious "Sonic Live" issue that nobody liked...) and I feel Ian Flynn does a great job writing both Sonic & Megaman, (he's been writing Sonic sense 2006, and seems to do a better job then the past writers did) and I like his comic relief style in them, (he even includes in-jokes for Sonic & Megaman fans to spot) so he should be able to handle a more comedy-oriented series.
So I'm looking forward to seeing what it'll be like. It's also nice knowing Sonic's going to have 3 simultanious comic series now. (And that's not even including the quarterly magazine, and Digest books. Nor all the collection/reprints.) It's amazing how popular his comics are now.
I'm fine with getting free downloadable game software, but yeah as some said they should've had more options, or at least not limit each VC NES game to ONE console... (What if somebody wants Ice Climbers for 3DS, instead of WiiU, or wants Metroid for WiiU?) I already had most of the VC games they offered, (either for NES, VC, or Animal Crossing GCN) and as I only have a 3DS, and gold-status, my choices were quite limited to just Metroid, and DK3... (Went with Metroid, dispite owning it on NES... At least it's nice having a portable version with a save feature now. Saving makes it much less tedious then writing down passwords. Being the USA version, the password feature is still in tact though, even the "Justin Bailey" password still works.)
Already have SML2, and Wario Land 2 for 3DS, but both are great games. (In fact, WL2 is my favorite Wario Land game.)
I don't know, as somebody who's played the original SMB & Lost Levels many times, I'm quite used to the original physics, so it's going to throw me off (and other old-school fans) playing with 8-bit style graphics, but modern-style physics...
Would be better if they let you switch the physics, as somebody previously suggested.
(And remove the tile details from the 8-bit version to when you're done customizing. While it's handy for designing it kinda spoils the original 8-bit style a bit.)
Also, here's hoping for SMB2/USA, SMB3, and SMW-style graphic sets to.
Eh, I guess "Metroid," sense I don't have a WiiU, only have gold status, and already have SML2 & Wario Land 2. Don't know why they'd think anyone would want DK3 though... It was nowhere near as good as DK & DK Jr.
@Porky Don't have enough cash to afford one. Even the WiiU being "cheap" compared to the competition doesn't mean it's cheap enough for people like me.
Don't think it was a good idea to include remakes of the same game to me. (Like the N64 & 3DS versions of "Ocarina.") They're pretty much the same game.
As for me, favorite 3D Zelda, "Ocarina," favorite 2D Zelda, "Link's Awakening." Though, honestly, I love all the Zelda games. Even Zelda 2.
To be honest, even though I'm sure people will be angry if it's a "returning" character, I wouldn't mind it being another returning character. I was one of the few actually happy they brought Toon Link & Yoshi back.
Well, on the plus side, maybe this means they'll finally port one of those future supersized "Sega Genesis Collection" games that only the PS3 & 360 got to the WiiU... But I doubt it, as I doubt they'll make another new one anytime soon... Shame 'cause I really wanted that one... I really hate how third-party companies always tend to skip the Nintendo console when making a multi-console game.
(The Wii was kinda understandable as it was a bit underpowered, but sense the WiiU is HD, and more powerful, yet still not as much as it's competition, it's unlikely that trend will change anytime soon. All most third-party companies care about is what console is the most powerful. EA, especially Bob Summerwill's comments on the WiiU certainly proved that recently. Not that I miss EA's mediocre games, mind you.)
Looks like the only way I'll be able to get any Sega classics is if I buy that cheap officially-licensed Sega Genesis vintage console, (or whatever it was) that has games pre-installed on it. (Which admittedly at 60 bucks is cheaper then paying 8 bucks per game.)
Already got Kid Icarus 3D, and DK Jr., but I better get Paper Mario before they start charging 300 coins for N64 games... (I can't believe they're charging 200 coins for 5 dollar games, that's crazy. Now I regret not getting 1080* Snowboarding when it was 200. It'll probably be higher next time.)
Huh, surprising to see Slash in it, (and other "classic" TMNT characters) makes me wonder if they'll be in the movie now, but hopefully this game is decent. The ability to switch turtles on the fly sounds nice, and something we haven't seen sense the NES game.
Would rather have the old Konami games on 3DS though personally...
Eh, I don't see what the big deal with smartphones, and tablets are, or why some companies think they're more important then actual dedicated game systems. Sure they're good for casual/brief gaming, (which is what most of those "cheaper" games are, just mini-games, which this article fails to regard) but playing more "hardcore/dedicated" games along the lines of Final Fantasy, or Zelda on them are kinda annoying to me without buttons, and such. I love my 3DS personally, so I'll stick with that, and just use phones to talk on, like they originally were meant to be. (Seriously, they put so many features on cellphones nowadays, do people even use them to talk on? Are they really phones anymore?)
Can't say I'll miss EA though, as most of their games don't interest me... Aside from Sim City, but that was originally made by Maxis. (Which EA bought unfortunately, which is probably why the SNES Sim City is no longer available on Virtual Console... Shame, 'cause Miyamoto & Will Wright are good friends, and worked on the SNES game together.)
Y'know, I don't care what the NintendoLife critics/reviewers say, "Balloon Fight" was an awesome game. ("Balloon Kid" for Gameboy & 3DS is good to.) I can't tell if he's implying there's a "Balloon Fight" mode in the game, (which would be awesome) or if they just recreated that moment with the AC characters.
OMG I LOVE EGGROBOS! I always wanted them to come back! Thank you SSB! Nice to hear it'll be an actual enemy to, and not just a trophy. Nice to see a Sonic enemy. (Saw a Dig Dug one, and a Mega Man one already, was wondering if they'd have a Sonic one.)
Would've rather of had Minish Cap (one of the few Zelda games I've missed out on personally) on 3DS personally, (especially sense I don't have a WiiU) but I can't help, but think Nintendo's only bringing GBA to WiiU, and not 3DS, just to encourage old-school gamers to get a WiiU. So it might be unlikely we'll ever get GBA games for 3DS now... (Same for DS games, seeing how they released Brain Age DS for WiiU VC in Japan now.) Kinda odd they're suddenly releasing portable games on a TV console, when after so many years of keeping Gameboy games off the Wii, and such.
Y'know, I don't care what anyone says, I'm actually looking forward to seeing this character. She seems funny, and unique for Sonic character standards. Also, we haven't had a new Sonic character in years honestly, (or seen the extended cast much in recent games, aside from the Olympic ones) so can we get over the whole "Sonic has to many characters ruining the series" ignorant hype? (Heck, "Sonic Boom" marks Knuckles' first fully playable moment in an action Sonic title sense "Sonic Advance 3.")
Also, people chill, because "Sonic Boom" is NOT part of the main game canon, and isn't going to effect it. So I don't mind the liberties they're taking with it. It's kinda nice they are, rather then just make it "Sonic X in 3D."
Kinda odd they aren't recommending any 3DS Virtual Console games... (I honestly think Nintendo's been ignoring VC a bit lately...) At least recommend something cool, yet obscure like "Mole Mania." It's the best game you can get for 3 bucks.
This article is a li'l misleading, I haven't seen him bash the movie on "several" occasions, just with that quote. I don't think he hated the movie itself, I've seen behind the scenes videos on Youtube where he talked about the movie calmly, and with a smile on his face.
Rereading his quote, I think he just hated "making it," because as he said the 2 directors were jerks as he put it. I think he just hated them.

Re: Super Smash Bros. For 3DS To Feature More Trophies Than Brawl
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th August (North America)
"The Mysterious Murasame Castle" for me, been waiting for this one.
Now to wait for "Bubble Bobble," "Kung-Fu Heroes," and the DK Land trilogy. (All out in Japan.)
Re: The Club Nintendo Reward Details Are In For August
Re: James Pond: Robocod Reboot No Longer Coming To Wii U
Re: Feature: Ten Must Play Titles on the Game Boy
No love for "Mole Mania?"
Re: Video: Scientifically Accurate Sonic The Hedgehog Ruins Everything About Sonic The Hedgehog
@Unca_Lz
Well, he does still have a fanbase, believe it or not. Not to mention His games do sell decently enough, he has 3 comic book series now running simultaniously, has had several TV shows, (and one coming soon) is going to be in the next SSB, and is getting a movie.
I'd say Sonic is doing well for a "non-relevant" video game character.
Re: Feature: Where Are The Super Nintendo 3D Classics?
@drewb0203 While I'd love to see GBA & SNES games to, you're selling the 3DS's VC library a bit short, as there are are NES, Gameboy, and GBColor games just as good as them.
Don't let the lack of color fool you, Mole Mania, Metroid 2, Donkey Kong '94, and Wario Land are some pretty deep Gameboy games.
Re: The Mysterious Murasame Castle Set For North American Début on 7th August
Nice! Finally a new Japan-only VC game! Definitely going to get it, it looks nice, and old-school.
Re: Feature: Where Are The Super Nintendo 3D Classics?
Mario.)
Re: Feature: Where Are The Super Nintendo 3D Classics?
(Including Nintendo Power magazine.)
I think it's more like "Nintendo of America" doesn't care about the VC service, as Japan & Europe have more VC games then Americans at this point. (Still, waiting for "Bubble Bobble" to come to 3DS, and such.)
Re: Ace Attorney Trilogy Will Boast Visual and Dialogue Tweaks, $29.99 Price Tag
Re: Feature: Where Are The Super Nintendo 3D Classics?
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th July (North America)
Oh awesome! Been waiting nearly a year for "Blaster Master!" (Odd it took that long, the GBC sequel's been on 3DS for a long time.) Been waiting for it, and other Japanese VC games, (like Bubble Bobble) for a long time.
Re: Tomodachi Life Stage Drops Into Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
Re: Review: Mario Power Tennis (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)
Is the Gameboy Color one for 3DS any good? (I feel it's a bit overpriced at 6 bucks... Yeesh, they don't even charge 6 bucks for "Lost Levels" anymore.) Don't have a WiiU yet.
Re: Yumi's Odd Odyssey Hooks In Permanent Price Drop In North America
This game's been on my Eshop wish list for awhile, so I'm glad to hear that. Though, if I'm paying $20 for a game, I'd usually rather get a physical copy for that price, but we'll see once I get another $20 to spend. (Saving up for SSB 3DS.)
I must add, the main character looks adorable.
Re: Nintendo Download: 17th July (North America)
Meh, once again no Virtual Console game for us 3DS-owners. (Goodness, I've been waiting for "Bubble Bobble" sense it was released in Japan back in October! It's been almost a year! Not to mention Japan also has the entire "Donkey Kong Land" Gameboy trilogy for 3DS. No clue if issues with Rare/Microsoft will keep it off the American/European Eshops, or not... Japan has less strict copyright laws.)
Steamworld Dig at the lower price looks tempting though, is it worth 5 bucks?
Re: Archie Announces Sonic Boom Comic Book Series to Accompany Games and Animated Show
Personally, I love the Archie Comic Sonic the Hedgehog series, (regardless of it's ups, and downs, luckily I missed most of the downs like the notorious "Sonic Live" issue that nobody liked...) and I feel Ian Flynn does a great job writing both Sonic & Megaman, (he's been writing Sonic sense 2006, and seems to do a better job then the past writers did) and I like his comic relief style in them, (he even includes in-jokes for Sonic & Megaman fans to spot) so he should be able to handle a more comedy-oriented series.
So I'm looking forward to seeing what it'll be like. It's also nice knowing Sonic's going to have 3 simultanious comic series now. (And that's not even including the quarterly magazine, and Digest books. Nor all the collection/reprints.) It's amazing how popular his comics are now.
Re: Nintendo Goes Download-Only With The 2014 Club Nintendo Elite Rewards
I'm fine with getting free downloadable game software, but yeah as some said they should've had more options, or at least not limit each VC NES game to ONE console... (What if somebody wants Ice Climbers for 3DS, instead of WiiU, or wants Metroid for WiiU?)
I already had most of the VC games they offered, (either for NES, VC, or Animal Crossing GCN) and as I only have a 3DS, and gold-status, my choices were quite limited to just Metroid, and DK3...
Re: Takashi Tezuka: Mario Maker Won't Move Quite Like the Original Mario Bros.
Re: Nintendo Goes Download-Only With The 2014 Club Nintendo Elite Rewards
Eh, I guess "Metroid," sense I don't have a WiiU, only have gold status, and already have SML2 & Wario Land 2.
Don't know why they'd think anyone would want DK3 though... It was nowhere near as good as DK & DK Jr.
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th June (North America)
@Porky
Don't have enough cash to afford one. Even the WiiU being "cheap" compared to the competition doesn't mean it's cheap enough for people like me.
Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Legend Of Zelda Game?
Don't think it was a good idea to include remakes of the same game to me. (Like the N64 & 3DS versions of "Ocarina.") They're pretty much the same game.
As for me, favorite 3D Zelda, "Ocarina," favorite 2D Zelda, "Link's Awakening." Though, honestly, I love all the Zelda games. Even Zelda 2.
Re: New Fighter for Super Smash Bros. to be Revealed on 14th July
To be honest, even though I'm sure people will be angry if it's a "returning" character, I wouldn't mind it being another returning character. I was one of the few actually happy they brought Toon Link & Yoshi back.
Re: It Doesn't Look Like We'll Be Seing Sega Games On The Wii U Virtual Console Any Time Soon
Re: Video: You Really Don't Want To Know What Kids These Days Think Of The Game Boy
Boy, "Back to the Future 2" really nailed it with newer generations of gamers... "You have to use your hands? That's like a baby's toy!"
Re: The Club Nintendo Rewards Are Now Updated for July
Already got Kid Icarus 3D, and DK Jr., but I better get Paper Mario before they start charging 300 coins for N64 games...
(I can't believe they're charging 200 coins for 5 dollar games, that's crazy. Now I regret not getting 1080* Snowboarding when it was 200. It'll probably be higher next time.)
Re: Movie-based Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game Coming to 3DS
Huh, surprising to see Slash in it, (and other "classic" TMNT characters) makes me wonder if they'll be in the movie now, but hopefully this game is decent. The ability to switch turtles on the fly sounds nice, and something we haven't seen sense the NES game.
Would rather have the old Konami games on 3DS though personally...
Re: EA Explains Why It's Abandoning Dedicated Handhelds For Smartphones And Tablets
Re: Feature: A Week of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Screens - Issue Forty Four
Re: Feature: A Week of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Screens - Issue Forty Three
OMG I LOVE EGGROBOS! I always wanted them to come back! Thank you SSB! Nice to hear it'll be an actual enemy to, and not just a trophy. Nice to see a Sonic enemy. (Saw a Dig Dug one, and a Mega Man one already, was wondering if they'd have a Sonic one.)
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th June (North America)
Re: Meet Sticks, The New Member of Sonic Boom's "Core Ensemble"
Re: Site News: Check Out Nintendo Life's eShop Picks On Your Wii U And 3DS
Kinda odd they aren't recommending any 3DS Virtual Console games... (I honestly think Nintendo's been ignoring VC a bit lately...) At least recommend something cool, yet obscure like "Mole Mania." It's the best game you can get for 3 bucks.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Movie Actor Bob Hoskins Passes Away Aged 71
