I'm playing ZoW and enjoying it so far. I have no problem with Zelda not running around dungeons at 60fps only using a sword instead of the echoes she uses. I've been enjoying puzzling things out and haven't noticed any noticeable slowdown yet.
I beat three of the temples before I used the dupe glitch to make 30 diamonds.
Bought the firecracker armour and beat the fire temple. Bought my dream house and didn't know where to put anything.
Felt guilty after reading a comment somewhere that said duping diamonds breaks the balance of the game.
Deleted my save data and started again.
Then something funny happened. The Switch told me there was an error with my cloud data, so I downloaded the backup and overwrote my new save data and...
Seems like he's feeling nostalgic. There were many times I loaded the cassette tape only to find disappointment. Thankfully this is a thing of the past.
I think we'll be searching for green batteries of various sizes to power Link's new zonai arm and its abilities (e.g. time reversal, flame thrower dragon head augmentation, teardrop traversal etc), as well as our custom made vehicles.
I think that they're green because of the energy in them, like the green electrical balls in Kay Noh.
I think that we'll need to visit shrines or temples to find them, or caves.
I also think we'll need those abilities to visit the sky islands, and we'll need different abilities to visit different islands.
Also, that green energy, like Kay Noh...
It's restored the master sword, which has previously been corrupted by the malice.
Interesting, that. Especially the pattern on the blade.
I've been watching GameXplain and MonsterMaze on YouTube, that's where I'm getting these ideas from.
I think that those little blue flames next to the mining moblins are indeed spirits of people and we'll need to restore them.
I think that we'll need to restore towns and villages as well, get rid of the darkness/malice and restore those locations too.
Incidentally, Gannon's neck snap as he wakes up in an earlier trailer reminded me of the neck snap scene in Twilight Princess.
"Neckity neck neck!"
So I found theories online that it was Zant who did that out of profound disillusionment.
Back when I first saw that scene though, it was my impression that it wasn't Zant but was other citizens of the twilight world that did this.
Perhaps twilight versions of the seven sages.
...also there's a building on a sky island that's dome shaped. Reminds me of the Sky Temple....
If that's true, and this game truly is a 'link' to many of the other Zelda games then...

I can see where Nintendo World are coming from.

@HotGoomba @Erigen ... Nintendo gold coins
Re: 'Symphonia' Harmonises Hand-Drawn Art And Musical Platforming On Switch Today
What was that Hollow Knight sequel called again?
Re: Is This Our Best Look Yet At 'Switch 2'?
I don't think the white one is real, that back panel on a hinge looks like it'll break and fall off sooner or later.
The clip of the black and blue joycon looks more realistic to me.
I like that the screen looks bigger.
Re: Video: Footage Of LEGO's "Unreleased" James Bond Video Game Surfaces Online
I'd buy that for a dollar.

Eh, whut? I once pulled a fish out of my ear.
Whut was what you ask?
Whut did it say?
It asked "what has this article got to do with the price of fish?"
Re: 'Nintendo Music' Adds Another DS Soundtrack, Here's Every Song Included
I only want metal mario music.
Edit: ok, and mario 64 flying music.
And song of storms from Zelda 64.
Ok, I'm done.

They gave him eyes? Why did they give him eyes!?
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Confirmed For Switch
I have pre-ordered it.
Looking forward to playing this and seeing how it fits in with the stories from the other three games and their DLC.
I think in the lead up to March (after completing Unicorn Overlord), I might replay XC1, then the XC3 DLC followed by XC3 again.
Just because.

Re: Hands On: Mortal Kombat 1's Stunning Presentation Has Us Anxious About The Switch Port
I read on Nintendo life recently that a developer said that ToTK makes other developers look stupid.
Granted there's a little slowdown and some pop in, but it runs very smoothly overall and I personally haven't had any crashes yet.
This, Witcher 3 and Panic Button ports show that the Switch can do better than expected.
I hope Mortal Kombat One runs well on Switch, though there may have to be some koncessions.
Re: Poll: Goats Or Lizards? What Do You Think Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Zonai Look Like?
Kangaroo, or some other marsupial.
Re: Random: Zonai 'Airbike' Is The Perfect Custom Vehicle In Zelda: TOTK
Tried it many times, it just veers off to one side. It's too frustrating to try and get all three parts dead center, so I've given up.
There are lots of funny vehicles on YouTube to try though, after I collect enough battery power.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom New Item Duplication Glitch Discovered
I was so happy when I discovered two of the horses I'd tamed and boarded in BoTW were available in ToTK.
I just mosied on up to a stable and the stableman said "Oh, I see you've already got horses..."

Re: Feature: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #2 Breakdown & Speculation - Everything You Missed
@dew12333
It does seem awfully close to the screen doesn't it?
Those projectiles of malice though, they seem to come from below the moon rather than from it...

Re: Metroid Prime Remastered Confirmed For Switch, Launching Digitally Today
Just watched a GameXplain video on YouTube, they did a live stream playing Metroid Prime Remaster on Switch.
They showed classic controls, dual stick controls with no gyro, full motion aiming like Wii, and a hybrid of classic and motion aiming.
The man was very impressed with how the game felt and looked.
Re: Yes, Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Costs $70, Collector's Edition Announced
So I went to the Nintendo US site and looked at the Legend of Zelda TotK page.
It said pre-order is available now and it's $69.99.
Then below that, there was a link to information about Nintendo vouchers.
A pair costs $100 and then you can buy two games. I'm getting Legend of Zelda TotK plus Advance Wars for £50 each.
Nice.
Re: Video: Here's What Mario's Movie Voice Sounds Like In Other Languages
I'm sold on both the Latin American Spanish and Italian versions.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Mario's Movie Voice?
I liked everybody's voice except Chris Pratt's. It was lacklustre.
Here's Charles Martinet instead of Chris Pratt!
