This is the game I trying to think of to add to my 3DS games to buy list but couldn’t remember! It looks very interesting, as someone interested in mythology.
@vanYth I noticed that too, and I love it. The one thing I do remember about folders was being mad a game could only be in one of them. It never really mattered, because I only had a couple digital games, but I have a lot more on Switch. You can also put physical games in them, so these are a lot better in my opinion!
On Switch, Triangle Strategy. Slowly making progress in it, I’ll begin truly playing it lots near the end of March, because I’m currently grinding an event in Genshin Impact, which has been taking some time.
@Wexter Wait Banjo is? I realized after I sent that that Majora’s Mask was on it, but I didn’t know Banjo was already. The wording of this article confused me I guess.
I’ll still wait, because I’m planning on buying a lot of 3DS and Wii U games soon, so I don’t want to buy this yet.
I didn’t get New Pokémon Snap, even though I somewhat wanted it, so I’m happy the original’s getting added. I can test the water and decide whether to spend $80 on the sequel.
However, I’m going to wait a bit more to get, until at least Majora’s Mask and Banjo-Kazoie is on. I missed out on a lot of N64 games.
I might also wait for some more DLC to be added, because I bought ACNH’s by itself, and I have no interest in MK8D.
Every single word in that speech is stupid. What do you mean it’s not “the biggest game”? It’s the Switch’s third bestselling game of all time. Also Nintendo added freaking DLC in the last year. Did Mang0 do that?
My Switch is still functional, but it did recently gain a massive problem: it lost the ability to read microSD cards. I knew there was a problem since December but only recently actually looked at what it actually was. Currently saving up for a new Switch.
It’s truly strange that not many other people have that problem, because I only got my first SD card a few years ago, in 2020. Though I guess that doesn’t mean anything since it’s a problem with the Switch /:
@JakedaArbok Haha, forgot that. People always say Chapter 2 was released 2 years after Chapter 1 and it always throws me off because it was actually closer to 3 years. It drives me nuts and ruins my timeline.
2017 - Breath of the Wild (Odyssey is much better in my opinion, but I haven’t finished BotW so I would want to play it more) 2018 - Probably Celeste. Or Undertale. Smash would be 3rd place. 2019 - Mario Maker 2. One of my favourite games of all time and one of the only good games from that year (that I played) 2020 - ACNH, no doubt. Or Deltarune Chapter 2, but that was technically just an update. 2021 - SM3DW+BF. The only game I’ve played from that year, so no choice there, even though I don’t even own it.
That’s… actually really cool. I always wished there was more icons, this is a good way to make me feel like my Platinum Points are relevant, they usually just expire and go to waste.
Interesting that there’s S&S news, but not Arceus DLC. Also, what’s P25 Music? Is that what the D&P soundtrack website was part of, or is it something different? It would be amazing if they released the other games’ soundtrack that way.
I'm so happy this finally happened. I bought Undertale literally last week (played it twice already) and it doubled my want to want to play Earthbound, which was already quite a lot. And the fact we also got Beginnings... best part of the Direct in my opinion. I'm so excited to start it this weekend.
I wonder if with the reveal of MK8 DLC people will finally stop asking for a Switch Pro. Dispite the fact Nintendo has confirmed it won't be coming any time soon thrice now.
It's funny, I'm generally the person who defends Directs from people who think they were bad, but I personally thought this Direct wasn't that great. There weren't any massive announcements I'm really looking forward too. I'm excited to play Earthbound and Portal for the first time, and I'll probably get Xenoblade Chronicles and Three Houses finally, but there wasn't any completely amazing games in my opinion. Nintendo Switch Sports was probably the best reveal if you ask me. To be fair, Mario Strikers and Mario Kart don't interest me at all, and those were two of the big ones.
Also, I wonder if people enjoyed it because none of it was leaked. It would prove my theory....
Okay I don't really need a 1-2-Switch sequel, but the fact that it got zero votes makes me sad.
I want a Xenoblade 3. I haven't played the first two, but they've been on my wishlist for a while, so maybe another one will convince me to finally get them.... Mario Odyssey 2 would also be amazing.
@MajorasLapdog Right, I forgot you had to do that to 100%. That wouldn't be fun if you wanted to do it quickly, but I would love to replay that game multiple times, I love it so much. I forgot to mention, I don't actually own this game. I borrowed it and beat 3DW, Champion's Road and (almost) 100%ed BF in two weeks. I wish I owned it because I love it so much.
@Medic_Alert The three Mario games I've played on Switch are Mario Maker 2, Odyssey and 3D World. All 10 of them are easily 10/10s. SMM2 I've poured 800+ hours into in little over a year of owning it. It has infinite content and I love it. Odyssey is an amazing game, and I've replayed it a couple of times. The biggest problem with Odyssey I have is it's not fun to 100% in my opinion. Darker Side isn't fun and most of the moons just feel like a chore. 3D World AND Bowser's Fury are both incredibly fun to beat and 100%, in my opinion at least. It also easily has the best soundtrack in the series.
Without a doubt in my mind, Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is the best game released this year. It's also probably the best game on Switch overall. It's literally flawless in my opinion. It's sad how few times it's being mentioned in these comments...
Anything under 10 hours is ‘short’ but it’s not like short games are bad. Celeste took me under 10 hours, but I’ve now played it for almost 30 and it’s one of my favourite Switch games.
Breath of the Wild and Smash (as always) but I’ve also been playing through A Link to the Past recently... oh my god I love that game! I might also have to try Super Metroid as I’ve never played a Metroid game in my life.
I’m continuing on with Breath of the Wild, it’s a lot better now that I’ve given up on Vah Naboris. I’m dying Vah Ruta now, which is a LOT easier. Still, Spirit Tracks beat it and Ocarina of Time in my humble opinion.... Besides that I’m still playing Smash. I’ve decided to try to get every single Spirit in the game. I reached 1000 the other day, so two-thirds there, yay!

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 14.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Leuke …do they? I thought it wasn’t until May….
EDIT: Googled it, you can add funds through a credit card until May, that’s the first thing that shuts down. Nothing happens tomorrow.

@TheRealMr_Carpainter …These are folders? There’s not really a difference other than the name (groups sounds horrible).
Does anyone know if you can add physical games to groups? Never used the folders much on 3DS. EDIT: You can.

I sort of hope Candy Crush wins to be honest… it was definitely a bigger part of my life than OoT.
To be fair, I haven’t beaten OoT yet

So… Pokémon Sleep? Maybe?
Also Detective Pikachu 2, since that was already in the news this week.

Chrono Trigger?

So I’d assume the answer is yes: Will Virtual Console also shut down?

One of the only things I want is the Fall Guys port to actually be announced. Also like BotW2 and stuff.
Re: Best Cheap Nintendo Switch Games
No Celeste? There's a few games missing from here...
Re: You Can Get Your Official 'Year In Review' Switch Stats Now
Mario Maker 2 was my most played, for 563 hours. Smash was 227 hours, then BotW was 58 hours.

Ugh... part of me really wants to buy both Fighters Pass, but it’s also pretty expensive... do you guys think it’s worth it?
Re: Talking Point: Do You Have A 'Way' You Play Certain Switch Games?
I use handheld a lot more than I should. I should use docked more often, and I do occasionally use it, not with specific games though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 16th)
I’ll still be slowly going through Breath of the Wild and Link to the Past... not really anything else, it’s a Zelda weekend for me!
Re: Talking Point: What Would You Like To See From The Animal Crossing Direct?
@VoidofLight Hm, but now I want Resetti to be in the game, and sell artwork of players saving their game. 😉

@VoidofLight Do you mean Redd’s art?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 9th)
Breath of the Wild and Smash (as always) but I’ve also been playing through A Link to the Past recently... oh my god I love that game! I might also have to try Super Metroid as I’ve never played a Metroid game in my life.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 2nd)
Breath of the Wild and Smash. Same as last week. And the week before. How creative I am.
Re: Poll: Do You Use The Black Or White Theme On Your Nintendo Switch?
I like the idea of more themes, but I would never pay for them... they don’t matter to me at all.

I hope they add the SNES Fire Emblem games. Or Final Fantasy. Something like that. Probably too optimistic though...
