Re: Nintendo Highlights Upcoming N64 Releases In Latest 'Switch Online + Expansion Pack - Overview Trailer'

BabyYoda71

I didn’t get New Pokémon Snap, even though I somewhat wanted it, so I’m happy the original’s getting added. I can test the water and decide whether to spend $80 on the sequel.

However, I’m going to wait a bit more to get, until at least Majora’s Mask and Banjo-Kazoie is on. I missed out on a lot of N64 games.

I might also wait for some more DLC to be added, because I bought ACNH’s by itself, and I have no interest in MK8D.

Re: Talking Point: How's Your Switch Holding Up After 5 Years?

BabyYoda71

My Switch is still functional, but it did recently gain a massive problem: it lost the ability to read microSD cards. I knew there was a problem since December but only recently actually looked at what it actually was. Currently saving up for a new Switch.

It’s truly strange that not many other people have that problem, because I only got my first SD card a few years ago, in 2020. Though I guess that doesn’t mean anything since it’s a problem with the Switch /:

Hmm… here’s my list:

2017 - Breath of the Wild (Odyssey is much better in my opinion, but I haven’t finished BotW so I would want to play it more)
2018 - Probably Celeste. Or Undertale. Smash would be 3rd place.
2019 - Mario Maker 2. One of my favourite games of all time and one of the only good games from that year (that I played)
2020 - ACNH, no doubt. Or Deltarune Chapter 2, but that was technically just an update.
2021 - SM3DW+BF. The only game I’ve played from that year, so no choice there, even though I don’t even own it.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2022 Nintendo Direct?

BabyYoda71

It's funny, I'm generally the person who defends Directs from people who think they were bad, but I personally thought this Direct wasn't that great. There weren't any massive announcements I'm really looking forward too. I'm excited to play Earthbound and Portal for the first time, and I'll probably get Xenoblade Chronicles and Three Houses finally, but there wasn't any completely amazing games in my opinion. Nintendo Switch Sports was probably the best reveal if you ask me. To be fair, Mario Strikers and Mario Kart don't interest me at all, and those were two of the big ones.

Also, I wonder if people enjoyed it because none of it was leaked. It would prove my theory....

Re: Poll: What Are Your Hopes For The February Nintendo Direct?

BabyYoda71

Okay I don't really need a 1-2-Switch sequel, but the fact that it got zero votes makes me sad.

I want a Xenoblade 3. I haven't played the first two, but they've been on my wishlist for a while, so maybe another one will convince me to finally get them.... Mario Odyssey 2 would also be amazing.

@MajorasLapdog Right, I forgot you had to do that to 100%. That wouldn't be fun if you wanted to do it quickly, but I would love to replay that game multiple times, I love it so much. I forgot to mention, I don't actually own this game. I borrowed it and beat 3DW, Champion's Road and (almost) 100%ed BF in two weeks. I wish I owned it because I love it so much.

@Medic_Alert The three Mario games I've played on Switch are Mario Maker 2, Odyssey and 3D World. All 10 of them are easily 10/10s. SMM2 I've poured 800+ hours into in little over a year of owning it. It has infinite content and I love it. Odyssey is an amazing game, and I've replayed it a couple of times. The biggest problem with Odyssey I have is it's not fun to 100% in my opinion. Darker Side isn't fun and most of the moons just feel like a chore. 3D World AND Bowser's Fury are both incredibly fun to beat and 100%, in my opinion at least. It also easily has the best soundtrack in the series.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 25th)

I’m continuing on with Breath of the Wild, it’s a lot better now that I’ve given up on Vah Naboris. I’m dying Vah Ruta now, which is a LOT easier. Still, Spirit Tracks beat it and Ocarina of Time in my humble opinion.... Besides that I’m still playing Smash. I’ve decided to try to get every single Spirit in the game. I reached 1000 the other day, so two-thirds there, yay!
