It's Bayonetta, Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, and Fire Emblem Warriors for me this weekend.

If they fixed the major frame rate issues and upped the resolution a little bit in handheld mode, they have certainly gained a purchase from me.

If a Direct isn't announced today, I think one will be coming on February 1.

So does this mean we might get Downwell on Switch?

I could see this coming in late June or early July. I have no clue what the name could be. I guess, maybe Yoshi's Pop-Up?

@BlueKnight07 Don't get your hopes up about Smash. That's more of an E3 announcement.

I expect an announcement in a few hours. If that doesn't happen, then I'm expecting the Direct to come next Thursday.

@Razer Explain Hyrule Warriors and Yoshi's Woolly World then?

They should properly optimize the PC and Xbox One versions before they worry about getting PUBG on the Switch and PS4.

As much as I love BotW, I hope they make a 2D Zelda once in a while. I doubt that a 2D Zelda game takes as long as 3D Zelda so one of Nintendo's side teams could make those if necessary.

If they plan on selling 20 million units in 2018, then Pokemon or something else that will be huge is coming this year.

@Anti-Matter To me, Light of Hope looks more like a mobile game. And you are right, Story of Seasons is the "real" Harvest Moon now.

@Anti-Matter Speaking of Harvest Moon, do you think that Harvest Moon: Light of Hope (which is getting a physical version I should add) will be successful with Stardew Valley doing so well on Switch?

I've only bought Sparkle 2 because it was a Zuma's Revenge clone and I really like that game. Most of 10ton's games aren't for me though because I don't care for twin-stick shooters.

They should stick with the name Octopath Traveler. It has a nice ring to it.

The only thing that interested me about this game is that a buff Colonel Sanders is playable.

Well, it's a good thing that platformers and puzzle games are already my two favorite game genres.

@joey302 Don't forget Okami HD. It's not like it would be unprecedented. It's coming to PS4 very soon and the Wii got an excellent port of Okami back in the day. Also, I wouldn't mind having that recently announced Devil May Cry HD Collection that is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One.

@Fuz The problem with USFII was that it was $40. It's not a bad game, just poorly priced. If it was like $20 or $25, no one would have batted an eye.

@Caryslan Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting has online play, though.

Seriously, all I want from Capcom now is Resident Evil 4, Okami HD, the Disney Afternoon Collection, and the recently announced Devil May Cry HD Collection on the Switch and I'm set! They could also bring over Monster Hunter XX (or call it Generations Ultimate) while they're at it. I know a lot of people who want that.

@ShockFire10 Sega released Puyo Puyo Tetris outside of Japan this year.

Stop teasing us with Cuphead on the Switch! As much as it would make sense for a game like that to be on the Switch, Microsoft had a hand in the funding of the game so I think it will remain Xbox One and PC exclusive. I know that Minecraft is on the Switch, Wii U, and New 3DS and some games like Rocket League have cross-play with XBO but I think the Cuphead devs probably signed a deal with Microsoft in exchange for some funds.

Going to kill some more demons in Doom, beat Dark Side in Mario Odyssey, try out that sweet new Bomberman R update, and dive into Skyrim for the first time.

I remember freaking out in my car right after picking up my Switch from Target back in April. It felt so great since it was the first system I'd ever bought with my own money.

@memoryman3 Maybe the Mega Man, Gold Mega Man, and Ryu amiibo will be compatible?

@Nintendoforlife I like the aesthetic of Legos more than the generic pixel look of Minecraft. It's just personal taste.

I kid you not, I actually came up with an idea for a game like this years ago but with a different art style. This is hands down a day one purchase for me!

It has been confirmed now. Check Nintendo's YouTube page and watch the sizzle reel they just posted. It shows Worms WMD and has the logo and everything. It is now officially confirmed for the Switch but no release date yet. It's still exciting nonetheless.

My left-handed friend would love to hear about this as he only has a left hand. His right hand had to be amputated due to an infection that occurred some time when he was 10 during his long battle with leukemia. Thankfully, he hasn't had leukemia for what feels like a long time (almost 10 years ago, I think) and it's amazing to watch him play video games. (He's actually decent, too. He's really good at MK8 Deluxe and Smash Bros.)

I currently own 10 Switch games (soon to be 11 with Sonic Mania coming out tomorrow). The only two games I've downloaded are Snipperclips and Overcooked and the physical games I own are The Legend of Zelda: BotW, Super Bomberman R, Lego City Undercover, Puyo Puyo Tetris, MK8 Deluxe, Arms, Cave Story+, and Splatoon 2.

I wonder if this means we're getting Hyper Light Drifter on the Switch at some point as well. Also, the developers totally nailed the Smash 4 aesthetic!

I was not expecting Gunbarich and Strikers 1945 to come to the NA and EU eShop.

Sega is at least putting in more development time with Forces instead of rushing to meet a deadline like Sonic '06 or Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. I remember hearing that it's been in development since 2015 so that should be plenty of time to iron out bugs and make a decent Sonic game hopefully. I am totally pumped for Sonic Mania in a couple weeks and I'm cautiously optimistic for Forces even though I really enjoyed Colors and Generations.

@thesilverbrick That issue isn't exclusive to Switch. I remember Shantae: Half-Genie Hero and Shovel Knight (before it was rebranded as "Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove") being more expensive physically than their digital prices.

@thesilverbrick Cave Story+ is the exact same price digitally as it is physically. Believe me, I got it on launch. It was $29.99 which is the same as the digital price.

@th3r3ds0x I totally understand feeling burned by Ubisoft. That was a crappy move on their part to delay the game by almost an entire year in order to have PS3 and Xbox 360 versions launch alongside the Wii U version, especially since it was originally going to be exclusive to Wii U.
