Well, I've seen a decent amount of TV ads for Octopath Traveler lately so I think that definitely contributes to the fantastic sales. Nintendo has been pushing this game hard lately.

Well, Ubisoft only has a few games on the system at the moment: Just Dance 2017, Rayman Legends, Mario + Rabbids, Uno, Monopoly, South Park, and Just Dance 2018.

@PlayedNSlayed If you need some recommendations, I have quite a bit of Switch games. Which genres do you enjoy?

@PlayedNSlayed Well, there's Super Mario Party, Overcooked 2, Morphies Law, Warframe, and Dragon Ball FighterZ to name a few. Also, Nintendo said they have more in store for 2018 so I don't know if they'll shadow drop something in the fall.

That list looks about right except for the fact that Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and Smash Ultimate will be somewhere on that list. Sure, they are only on one console but they are also potential console sellers so I'm pretty confident about my guess.

Also, the only games on that list that pique my interest are RDR2 (still need to play the others though), God of War (recently beat it and it's my GotY so far), Monster Hunter World (have it but haven't played it yet), and Spider-Man (already have it pre-ordered).

@Knuckles-Fajita If you think it's hard to find a physical copy of Ys VIII for Switch, try looking for a physical copy of De Blob on Switch. If I hadn't pre-ordered it, it would've been much harder to find.

Now this might get me on board with Fortnite. I absolutely hate having no tutorial and getting shot down as soon as I land on the ground. It just doesn't feel like good game design to me but I know people will just tell me to "get good" so I guess it's no use commenting on it.

@Heavyarms55 The only new GBA game I saw in stores in 2008 was Drill Dozer, that drilling game that Game Freak made.

@Angelic_Lapras_King They better not remake Sunshine for the 3DS and not the Switch. That would make me really disappointed because Sunshine is the only main Mario game I haven't played.

Also, I wonder if the mobile game will take ideas from the cancelled Mario Motors. That would be pretty neat.

I held off buying FighterZ on PC and PS4 because I had a hunch that it was coming to Switch.

Sushi Striker has a very large amount of content and is very addictive. Mark my words, it would have sold so much better at $30. It will inevitably become an underrated gem down the line.

@Yasaal Oh believe me, I was put off by PUBG's nomination too. All I was saying is that graphics aren't the only reason why games are nominated for GOTY.

@Yasaal I'll be honest with you. The new God of War is my first experience with the series. I think that it is so good that I want to play the rest of the series afterwards. I am aware that it plays differently from the old games but the setting, lore, character design, and simple but refined gameplay of the new one just feels so right to me. If anything, I know more GoW fans who were disappointed by Ascension than this new one. But hey, it's all personal preference.

As for the critics, I think that biases are absolutely prevalent in review culture and perhaps some people are swayed by money in some occasions but I think the reviews for God of War are genuine. I don't think GOTY goes solely to those with the "best graphics". If that were the case, Horizon probably would have won at the GOTY Awards last year. I'm so glad Zelda won just because of how solid and how different they managed to make it from the other series.

@Yasaal Have you even played the new God of War? It's not a remake. In fact, it should have been called God of War 4 because it takes place many years after GoW 3. Also, as someone who typically likes what Nintendo puts out, GoW might become my GOTY. The only thing I could see topping it is Smash or if Bayo 3 or Metroid Prime 4 came out this year and I doubt that either one will.

The frame rate looks like it needs some work but it looks great for an early build.

Please remaster Battle for Bikini Bottom for modern systems. It was a childhood favorite of mine and it still holds up in my opinion.

@StephenYap3 Ratchet & Clank (2016) wasn't a remaster, it was a ground up re-imagining of the first game.

@rjejr Super Bomberman R launched at $50 on Switch.

I'm somewhat shocked but at the same time, Super Bomberman R sold really well on the Switch. It has improved so much since it launched a year ago.

Kirby: Star Allies broke the release date at some Walmarts in the U.S. My friend and I got our copies yesterday.

If Diablo 3 does come to Switch, I think it will include the expansions but it will probably launch at $50 or $60 which will turn a lot of people off.

Black Panther was amazing! It was the Black Panther movie I had been dreaming of since I was a kid! I also love BotW but sadly haven't picked up Stardew Valley yet. I'm going through my backlog rn.
