Topic: Favorite snow/ice stages in games

@Starboy91: I loved the Ice Forest level in Secret of Mana. I remember the first time I played the game and I ran into the Santa Clause storyline there. I agree too the music is so calming one of my favorite pieces of music from that game. Darn you now I want to play it again if only I can find a SNES that works.

Icecap in Sonic 3, the ski intro was pretty cool also the stages music was great too.

@Tasuki - do you have a Nintendo Wii? If so, you can download that game on the Virtual Console.

@Link: there was, it was toward the end of the game. It was nice, but IMO there wasn't anything truly special about the snowy area that stood out other than the people involved and the continuing story, of course. :3

i love ice skating in Mario Galaxy, and like many of you, love the penguin suit from NSMBW.

Oh yeah I forgot that it was on the VC (Insert puppy picture here). Ok looks like I just need to get me some points than.

The Ice Cavern stage in Donkey Kong Country with that beautiful background music.

And although not really a 'stage', i like the Phendrana Drifts in Metroid Prime.

Also Sonic 3 & Knuckles had two great Ice-stages in my opinion.

Agree with Phendrana Drifts, that game blew me away despite playing it for the first time in 2009. Donkey Kong Country sure, and definitely Banjo Kazooie but I love everything to do with that game.

Oh I forgot I did like the snow stages in SMB2. It has one of my favorite SMB bosses Fryguy.

• The ice stages from Donkey Kong Country
• The first Surface level from GoldenEye 007 (N64)
• Outpost from GoldenEye 007 (Wii)
• Ice Burg from Taz: Wanted

Eklemata in Terranigma and only Freezeezy Peak in Banjo Kazooie even comes close.

YES. I hate that area. Well no, it was awesome, but the plot character in wolf form bounds up to you and announces its name as Kai. I was like "COOL, WOLF DUDE'S GOT THE SAME NAME AS ME." And then 'he' transformed into 'his' human form. With boobs. "...Damn it, not again."
_{Would somebody please make a game with a male NPC called Kai so I can feel less like I have a girl's name.}

Freeze Man's stage in Mega Man 7. Not only was it kick@$$ and the boss and boss weapon were cool, but it had some great music:

Lost Planet. It conveys a frozen, barren landscape better than any other game.

Edit: And yes, I'm aware that I cheated by not picking a single level.

I have to agree with Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3.

If it's any consolation, I think it sounds like a guy's name... Just change your name to Raiden and everyone will think that you starred in Mortal Kombat! Mwahahahaha!

Wrath of The Lich kings snowy areas, like Howling Fjord and Storm Peaks.
