I tried it out and I know that I would really enjoy this. However, one thing I don't like is that they keep track of things between save files without actually let me reset it completely, not to mention some of the statistics wasn't kept track until certain update and some were already there from beginning. I will wait for a few weeks or months in case Nintendo decides to update the possibility to reset it

This reminds me of the Smash Bros released day on Switch. A similar situation occurred back then when they printed out the icon of Smash Bros on a paper and put it at school, which made the school thinks that some theorists were going to make a mass shooting that day

I still have my 3DS, still playing on daily or at least 3-5 days in a week, and I bought lots of digital games, too (mostly because I was studying abroad and can't buy the same game from same region)
Afterward, I eventually buy physical for games I like to play, except for some games that are digital exclusively or games that are too rare and expensive to get.
Tbh, the only thing I think I will regret is the DLCs that I didn't get. I already list out some DLCs that I will make sure to get before they close, though, which are from SMT4 and Persona Q series.

Oh, yes! I don't have PS3, so I was hoping for these to be remade at some point. These are the only P4 stories that I have yet to experienced~

It's just stopping the credit card, though, which I don't normally use anyway. I can only use the eshop cards and use them with my main account, which is both on 3DS and Switch, so no problem to me as long as they don't actually shut down the whole thing for 3DS

If you go to the website of the Persona Anniversary, the first project (or at least announcement) is in 9/2021. It has yellow background, and even some effect of TV in there. It is highly P4G on Switch/PS4

I find it funny that in the presentation, they also slip up the possibility of 1 and 2 will get the same treatment. I think I hear something about since 3 is originally the first in timeline that they decide to release it first, and maybe they would add some twist (and got whistled to stop talking about it)

@TeslaChippie No in-game lore, but in anime, there are actually more gyms than the 8 in the game.
In fact, in BW, because of B2W2 release, Ash ended up having to fight the Poison gym. Also, the Water Gym and Normal Gym (Cheren) also appears, so the region would have at least 11 active Gyms.
So in the end, it doesn't need to be lore for in-game, but lore for the whole region that they can be explored later on. In fact, I won't be surprised if they announce the sister game next year which feature the rest of the Gyms

Geez, it seems people are too confused about this. As far as I see, the number 18 is only for the "lore". It's most likely for other places to explore, such as the anime (if Galar would be in the next anime, that is), or mangas. But only 8 Gyms will make it to each game... And if all 8 gyms of each game is total exclusive, then we will get 16 gyms. If not, as I say, the rest are just in the "lore"

I know Natsume own the HM name, but this has gone too far. They have been dragging a legendary series through the mud, as if they don't care about what would happen to it. Many players that I know still don't know about "HM" and "SoS" after the transition, and how sad I am when I heard them talking bad things about how "HM" is so downgraded nowadays. Well, they are not wrong, but I have to explain to them about the name change every time.

And why are they even planning to sell this? I thought this would be a "free-to-play with micro-transaction" game.

I really wonder what could prevent them from bringing these to the West... The translation was all done for the mobile version... And they don't even need to worry the cost for the physical version since this is likely digital only...

There is only 1 thing I don't like about this one, and makes the PC's a bit better... is the Link Monster existed in this by itself. Many characters' decks in story mode would be affected by the new rules, and thus, they can't spam the field, and neither do us if we are going to use the Story Deck
I like Link Monsters, but I want to enjoy the story mode to its fullest, not getting restricted

Oh, I just downloaded this game, and it seems doesn't have that difficulty settings like the one on Steam, right? I wonder if they would add in to the full version, or through an update eventually

Wow, it seems people don't know about the DLC of Persona Q... It's only buying Persona that are exclusively DLC, and can't be unlocked. And you can just summon your first one for free... Which means, it's like pay-to-win. Of course, I'm only interested in the BGM. Even if I have to pay for those, I will! I'm glad that they are still free for the first month like in Japan case, only first-wave
These DLC are not needed at all. The game is good enough to play on it own, and they already existed for Japanese version. It's only Day 1 for us because the 3DS won't get any support later on, so they have to give us now

Nothing surprising...considering how they even put digital codes in physical copy of some games now....and digital-only games are released almost on daily basis... Even some big, famous kind of games only get digital only

Bought it 1st day... The only regret is that I didn't pre-order for that bonus DLC... I planned to buy the physical one, but then I found out they don't release it physically for the West! Should have looked it up more carefully next time

I really wish we can get an English version.... However, if that is the case, please don't use their English names (Noby, Sue, Big G, Sneech) and localize Dorayaki, Sushi into Donuts, Hamburger....

@apoqalypse Switch games doesn't have region-lock. If you buy the game in JP, and the game itself has English option (for example, Pokemon), then the game will be in English if your Switch's setting is in English
In short, you can just buy almost famous games of Nintendo in JP, and you can still play it in English

Can't believe people keep saying "put this on Switch instead". Like, do you even play PQ before? Or any Etrian games? The game requires you to draw maps on the touchscreen as you travel around the dungeons. It doesn't spawn random maps like normal Persona games

For me, having Japanese voice is WAY better, so this is great news
