@ValZ He briefly mentioned delisting (though seemingly not as an obstacle for the project, weirdly, even though it was one). No mention of regional exclusives
@aSmilingMan I watched the entire video - these games have been ACTUALLY preserved in their entirety for years, yet the efforts of the community will only continue to be buried thanks to 'champions of preservation' like these
As I said before- Jirard's drives are tied to the systems. Once those break, the data is meaningless
@Anachronism It's not very useful since the drives are tied to the Wii U. Without the system to play them on, you can't even access the drive through normal means (you can test it out for yourself), so once the system inevitably dies these efforts will prove worthless
Hate me if you want but these have already been preserved for years & the community putting effort into doing so is thankless judging by the reaction to this An incredible effort for sure but at the core of the project seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of preservation 🫤
@Nua Only a few months left, it'll loop back in March! AC has been the primary source of point drainage for me so glad I'll finally have that part of my collection complete
Anyone else have every icon, background, and frame released? Collecting them has been quite the task but it feels so rewarding seeing them all laid out..
@Lizuka The tree crash was fixed a few months ago. The menu lag is frustrating, but as you said it's intentional as a bandage fix to a bug that was present in the original, seemingly. A bit odd
@iLikeUrAttitude I think you're misunderstanding. Most of Nintendo's games use delay based netcode, which is generally considered to be worse- games like SNES NSO are the exception.
@UglyCasanova It's not the fault of Switch Online. Several games on Switch, including Skullgirls, Nickelodeon All Star Brawl, and SNES/Genesis NSO use rollback netcode. I'm not really sure what their excuse is
@Paddle1 It's likely janky because, similar to Pokemon TV and unlike YouTube, the app opens up the Switch browser which opens up a site, rather than Twitch actually being integrated into the app You can actually access said site here: http://switch.tv.twitch.tv
The video was posted three days before the SS Joy Cons were released, and the controllers were in production for several months if not more prior to that, so it's really just an interesting coincidence
@YoungLink64 I assume most of the people who would be getting this already have a Switch and just want the better dock, so they'd already have those things?
@Franklin I think it's intentional, a new feature - the keyboard displays over the app instead of opening a separate window, so what you type appears live
@Ghostchip Honestly I would but I find the news feed changing languages to be really annoying. I just did it to grab the Famicom NSO apps and then removed the account
@carlos82 You can share codes with users across the world. There's no in-game browser, but fortunately, a fan-made platform (http://mygarage.games/) is rapidly growing in popularity, and will definitely be a great place to find games easily in the future

Re: Random: YouTuber Spends Nearly $23K Buying Every 3DS & Wii U eShop Game
@Nua It is not, given the dozens of games that have been delisted for one reason or another

@Specter_of-the_OLED Funny, because ArcSys is actually co-developing Ultimax alongside Atlus

@iLikeUrAttitude I agree, rollback can absolutely be implemented just as poorly
