New Mario Strikers: Battle League Update Resolves Pesky Issue

Does anybody still play this game? I must admit I dropped it about a month after it released

@StarPoint Online lasted a strong three months but very hard to find matches now

this game absolutely dropped the ball. its not even inherently bad gameplay, but it didnt evolve the series big enough to warrant so many cuts in content. it just expected online to keep it alive

its not like switch sports that have quick games that are easy to jump into. it tried to market itself competitively with none of the incentive to keep playing, or content to back it up

@BenAV Ditto. I completed the single player content over a weekend and when I went online it was in between seasons of ranked so I never bothered going back.

The gamecube version kept me entertained for ages.

Gameplay is solid, but these updates just couldn’t get me to go back to it. Haven’t played it in a few months.

One of the biggest disappointing games ever. Didn't evolve, lack of content and too many issues. I think 'Charged' is frustrating at times but still way more fun!

superb game let down by missing content! I traded it after the 1st weekend. So so disappointing

I was told drip feeding content was a great strategy and that Nintendo fans were ungrateful for “free” content.

The state of this game is just sad to see. It deserved so much better.

There have been a few REALLY disappointing games for me lately and this was one (Switch Sports also boring to me!)
Such a shame as character design and costime etc very good...but the game itself was so boring (to me, anyway!) the updates were WAY too spaced out without any excitement.

Mario Tennis Aces was very unfairly judged, I LOVE that one and the updates for that were brilliant each month and really kept me interested and playing to unlock new characters or costumes.
Mario Golf was not as good but still better than football..

I'd be happy to play it more, but I only have a Lite, and it's just too hard to see what's going on half the time.

“Best sport game for the Nintendo Switch 9/10” haha what a joke

I’ve just recently gone back to this as I find the gameplay quite a lot of fun, however like a lot of the complaints there’s just minimal content - such a disappointment and hope Nintendo up their game in the future with this series

Probably my most disappointing game on Switch.
The gameplay is really solid but it feels empty, I got bored after a single weekend of playing.
