The new music is familiar. Pretty sure that's the same music they used for the pc port of S3&K back in the nineties.

I was the exact same. Fi Isles the Village quests thinking I was done, then realised I had to do it all again in Hub to see everything.
I found playing with randomers online really helped me get through it and it's probably my fave game series now

@citizenerased fully agree, the demos don't make a good first impression.
I've been trying to get into MH since Tri on the Wii.
Rise is where it finally "clicked".
I bought it on a whim due to the amazing reviews and I'm so glad I did.
150 hours on Rise and 200 on World/Iceborne.
I cant recommend it enough!

The drip feed of Nintendo games is REALLY frustrating.
Golf, Tennis, both Splatoon games.
I really wish they'd just release finished products.
Or, stop locking characters/features that are already in the game till later dates.
Pretty sure that's the type of nonsense Nintendo has been pulling for a while now

I'll echo the sentiments of most here.
While I'm really looking forward to this collection I'll happily wait for a physical edition.
I've already played them to death and I got burned by Sonic Mania

That's fair, though the new games do bring some jumps forward in gameplay and graphics, they'll never compare content wise to Generations Ultimate.
Hopefully Capcom have a beefy endgame loop built in to Sunbreak

the expansions tend to nearly double the content from the base game and are usually very much worth the money

I got the standard edition of Rise on a whim due to the positive reviews and it ended up being my favourite Switch game and im obsessed with the series now.
Would have loved to get the Collector's Edition of that too.

I'm delighted it's meant to be good and have it preordered, but I think it'll end up sitting on the shelf till I finish Elden Ring

Elden Ring is taking every second of my free time (with a quick break for the Kirby Demo) so I'll be waiting for a quieter spell and maybe a price drop for this.
The demo didn't grab me but it's reviewing fairly well.

@Fizza I loved 3D World to bits when it released and I'm very smug about it.
I felt a real disconnect with the true 3D Mario games. After growing up with the 2D games I felt the move to 3D changed it so much that they weren't Mario games to me anymore.
This was the perfect blend of both styles and an amazing game as well.
I still remember the salt when Eurogamer gave it game of the year over the Last of Us.

Thankfully I have the limited edition physical cart with all three campaigns on it.
Never thought this game compared to Awakening, though

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Focus Home Interactive, mostly around a Plague Tale.
Didn't realise they owned dotemu as well.
Seems to be building itself up into an extremely quality company that's not afraid to take risks on interesting ideas.
Ones to watch.

I love the Bayonetta games but found the story to be pure nonsense
I doubt the third will be any different

Even though I played the original dying light on pc, I bought it again on Switch because I love the game and they clearly put a lot of effort into it.
I'm not messing around with cloud games though so I'll be playing DL2 elsewhere

@Gwynbleidd I've tried twice before to get into the series. I got MH Tri for the Wii and hated it. I tried again with 4 Ultimate on 3DS and got a bit further into it but it didn't stick.
I saw the glowing reviews for Rise and decided to give it one last shot and it finally clicked.
I've played Rise to death and I'm currently polishing off Word/Iceborne.
Stick with it, it's become my favourite game series ever, hopefully Rise will click with you too!

To me Sonic 3 and Knuckles is an absolute masterpiece and one of the most beloved parts of my childhood, right up there with Mario.
I used to draw Sonic and his friends/enemies obsessively and I had so many issues of Sonic the Comic. To see his fall from grace has been heartbreaking but Sonic Mania was such a glorious return to form and hit me right in the nostalgia.
Such a shame Christian Whitehead and the team aren't working on a sequel.

I picked it up when I saw that price last week and have been really enjoying it so far

Maybe we'll get a unique crossover fighter like Tatsunoko vs Capcom on Wii?
The switch market is too big to ignore and it worked for Monster Hunter.

I wasn't a fan of 5. Loved 2, 3 and 4 to bits, though.
