Re: "We Answer To Nobody But You, The Audience" - Digital Foundry Is Now Fully Independent

Am I the only one not really impressed by these guys? Their tech knowledge seem to be on a PC gamer entusiast level.
Their initial Switch 2 coverage was so bad and just plain faulty that I lost all interest in these guys, as I concluded this was amateur level content.
I also noticed that many are fans of the channel and that negative critique and pointing out grave errors they sometimes in their "analysis" do are not well received. All what they say seems to be unquestionable gospel for some.

Re: Rumour: Switch 2 Game Cases Might Take Up More Space On Your Shelf

ronnande

I think it be quite so smart marketing wise to make the Switch 2 boxes around the same size as PS5/Xbox cases. This will make Switch 2 games more visible on the store shelves and give a psychological effect on the average consumers that Switch 2 games just as "big" as the others. Also easily differenciates Switch 2 games from Switch 1 games and gives a "bigger is better" effect.

Re: Random: Switch 2 Leakers Called Out By Industry Veteran Hideki Kamiya

I think everyone would have been not so suprised by the reveal even without the leaks, as most everyone just expected a new but better Switch anyway.
Nintendo knows they're playing it safe this gen with the hardware.
I think they rather want to suprise with the games this time. That's why not much game info was shown in the reveal as the April 2nd direct will suprise us with many innovative games instead.

Re: Random: Metroid Prime 3 Dev Left Retro Studios After "Unhealthy Relationship" With Nintendo Micromanagement

I do understand that level of micromanagement may feel very annoying for a creative artist who want to do his thing and vision. But that's also the thing that make Nintendo games stand out as extraordinarily polished and their IPs cohesive and familiar through the decades.
Just seem to be that this guy just don't like to work under such detail focused conditions on an IP with an already established vision.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's Big Switch and 3DS Reveals at E3 on Day One?

ronnande

It was okayish. But the lack of third party support are really sad. This time i think third parties really are missing out on not bringing versions for switch for multiplat titles as the portable aspect would be a big selling point for that version. I know many think its because the switch is different or underpowered, but thats not true. Controls for switch are traditional. 99% of multiplats could be tuned and adjusted to run decently on the switch hardware, im a professional developer/programmer so i know this as fact. No switch version are purely a "business" decision not a technical one. Most third parties think Nintendo platforms not have their target audience. But with switch thats more wrong than ever.

lol, gatorboi352 is the biggest troll I ever seen. Hope you are financed by MS or Sony to spread your anti Nintendo crap in this forum. (If not I feel sorry for you kinda)
I'm totally convinced the switch will be a big success and third party support will be pretty good. But remember the many fantastic EXCLUSIVE titles it will have. Those will not be available for xbox or playstation ...
