@Wood_Stick I agree it's like everything is negative about the Switch 2 and especially 3rd party ports. It's all about graphical downgrades and framerates compared to stationary consoles ... I'm kinda sick of hearing it now. Wonder if it's because it gives more clicks?
I think that Nintendo prioritise devs/publishers they know will actually release important games on the system. They know that some AAA type games will not sell huge numbers on Switch 2 and they will not contribute to drive sales of the console.
Am I the only one not really impressed by these guys? Their tech knowledge seem to be on a PC gamer entusiast level.
Their initial Switch 2 coverage was so bad and just plain faulty that I lost all interest in these guys, as I concluded this was amateur level content.
I also noticed that many are fans of the channel and that negative critique and pointing out grave errors they sometimes in their "analysis" do are not well received. All what they say seems to be unquestionable gospel for some.
I think it be quite so smart marketing wise to make the Switch 2 boxes around the same size as PS5/Xbox cases. This will make Switch 2 games more visible on the store shelves and give a psychological effect on the average consumers that Switch 2 games just as "big" as the others. Also easily differenciates Switch 2 games from Switch 1 games and gives a "bigger is better" effect.
I think everyone would have been not so suprised by the reveal even without the leaks, as most everyone just expected a new but better Switch anyway. Nintendo knows they're playing it safe this gen with the hardware. I think they rather want to suprise with the games this time. That's why not much game info was shown in the reveal as the April 2nd direct will suprise us with many innovative games instead.
The gameplay in Punch-Out just doesn't cut it today as a major release. Hardly was justified even in the Wii era. It's just way too simple of a premise for a modern game.
So yes we will never see a new entry in the franchise, but not because of stereotypes ...
At the time Okami first released on PS2 the gaming community was obsessed with "realistic" graphics and Cel shading was frown upon by most gamers and regarded as kiddy.
I think that contributed alot to it underperforming saleswise.
No matter how many Switches Nintendo sell, Sony will "readjust" the PS2 sales numbers to stay ahead. A number that's ofcrs impossible to prove or disprove now 20 years later. Obviously the Sony guys just making this up tho 🙄
I do understand that level of micromanagement may feel very annoying for a creative artist who want to do his thing and vision. But that's also the thing that make Nintendo games stand out as extraordinarily polished and their IPs cohesive and familiar through the decades. Just seem to be that this guy just don't like to work under such detail focused conditions on an IP with an already established vision.
This is just bollocks. 25 years ago people said the same thing really. That the days of dedicated properitary consoles with exclusive was soon over and to be replaced by a common standard. I dunno about Microsoft but I'm sure PlayStation and Nintendo will continue to make consoles for the forseable future.
Nintendo could just mentor the AI exclusively on their own resources, like all Nintendo produced arts and music etc. Then no intellectual property issues would arise. I'm pretty sure they will do that.
To me it seems that the switch are especially a massive hit in the US and Japan, while in Europe its more just selling good but not as massive as in those markets. Here in Norway its no problem getting one now.
The switch was really a thing i didn't know i needed until i got one. It has kinda suprised me in how much this dynamic have added to the experience and how cumbersome and oldfashioned traditional consoles look to me now.
It was okayish. But the lack of third party support are really sad. This time i think third parties really are missing out on not bringing versions for switch for multiplat titles as the portable aspect would be a big selling point for that version. I know many think its because the switch is different or underpowered, but thats not true. Controls for switch are traditional. 99% of multiplats could be tuned and adjusted to run decently on the switch hardware, im a professional developer/programmer so i know this as fact. No switch version are purely a "business" decision not a technical one. Most third parties think Nintendo platforms not have their target audience. But with switch thats more wrong than ever.
@gatorboi352, lol your still at it! Even more energetic with your anti Nintendo propaganda than ever before. Has the Switch made you nervous in your Sonyfanboy nerves?
@Al_Godoy You are very very wrong. I'ts convincing gamers bigtime (not all gamers ofc, nothing does). Comparing smartphones + chromecast with the switch clearly demonstrate that you either dunno how the switch works at ALL, or you just plain trolling
I feel quite positive about this. It seems EA are serious about building a full quality version of FIFA for the switch that uses the unique local multiplayer features and portability. If not they would just have put a rushed x360 port with botched features on it for launch.
@Dauntless Bro the hype is real! People around me seem to be quite so hyped about the switch (and they not Nintendo fanboys). It sure has 10x as much hype as the WiiU ever had.
It's primarily a home console. I'm pretty convinced it will be a big hit. The talk, hype and buzz surrounding the system points to it. Plus a gamesystem with all of Nintendos efforts combined behind it (and Pokemon, Monster Hunter ...) just cannot go wrong kinda.
lol, gatorboi352 is the biggest troll I ever seen. Hope you are financed by MS or Sony to spread your anti Nintendo crap in this forum. (If not I feel sorry for you kinda) I'm totally convinced the switch will be a big success and third party support will be pretty good. But remember the many fantastic EXCLUSIVE titles it will have. Those will not be available for xbox or playstation ...
