I love the idea of losing currency instead. Honestly, lives were so plentiful before it felt like deaths were irrelevant. Now, if I die, maybe I can't afford that thing from that shop. I like that.

So glad this hit it's funding goal. I'm seeing lots of negativity here. Jumping mechanics or unknown characters aside, this is super cool to have this big of a collaboration between these indie studios. Supporting this feels good.

@thesilverbrick couldn't agree more. Framerate directly affects gameplay, resolution doesn't. I'm so happy to see this.

absolutely love my system so far. breath of the wild and mario kart have more than already justified this system for me. can't wait for odyssey and xenoblade!

My fiance just called to tell me she preordered the last one at a local Gamestop. I'm diving back in to Nintendo, I love Metroid, and getting my daughter a 2DS for her birthday means I'll be able to play stuff like Kart and Animal Crossing with her on this bad boy. Stoked.

It really and truly is time to launch the NX this year. I know they can sustain a while while not making what they want, but they need to save face as well. They do need to make profits, but they also need to turn the ship around in the eyes of gamers, media, analysts, etc. Bring the Nintendo name back to prominence!

@Onion I'll be grabbing this to show support for Mega Man titles. I want to own 1-6 on the go, since the only ones I've played are 2, 4, and 5. I'm also interested in the museum unlockables. It's ok with me if there's no 3D added, that's not what I buy 3DS games for ironically. I buy them for the game play, and this collection is going to have incredible game play.

I'm not seeing costume quest 2 on sale, it shows up full price both on the system and on the web site for me.

I'll use Costume Quest 2 to get in the Halloween spirit. I'm not spending 50 on Fatal Frame without a box and cut content.

I really like what was said. I honestly think I've finally made my peace with Nintendo, and it's allowed me to love them for what they are, not what everyone wants them to be.

Nintendo is a company, but it is a company comprised of driven and creative artists. They would rather make a great game that will be enjoyed for decades than make a quick buck one holiday season. While the other two companies are selling more, I can fire up my NES and have just as much fun today as I did when I played the game as a child. Even if that ideal doesn't always pay off, at least they have ideals. They want to create things that touch people, that give us good memories, that stand the test of time.

That's just my outlook, but I stand by it. I won't turn my back on Nintendo and jump ship for anyone else again. Because when the dust settles, I always turn on my Nintendo systems more than any other system from any other company. Guaranteed.

I just picked up a Wii U 3D World/Nintendo Land bundle from Best Buy's eBay store for $250, the price I believe the system should be. It doesn't need to be lower, that was my "buy-it-now" price, so instead of waiting for a further drop or another sale, I bit. I can't wait to play this, and if it does go a little cheaper, I'll just be happy I got more play time out of it.

zelda wii u has been moved to a strictly mobile game, no wii u version coming at all, and the nx is basically an amazon fire you can dock your phone in and play nintendo games on? oh wait, he said expected the UNexpected...

@DarkLloyd agreed. the laws in place are to make sure a company's ip is not abused or imporperly used. he shouldn't have used trademarked imaged to promote his own cafe's party. it's pretty cut and dry to me: he used another company's trademarked images and got sued for it. i don't see any room for argument or opinion lol.

Great day to be a Nintendo fan! I picked up my preorder of Zelda, then 2 hours later went back and bought Mario haha. I couldn't resist. Both are blowing me away so far, especially Mario.

I for one don't mind missing out on the DLC. I'll buy the game, enjoy the story once or twice, play tons of multiplayer, and that's that. That money I won't be spending on DLC for this game can go to funding another game purchase. It's a good thing!
