I think this is on the money and a really smart move from Nintendo. They do not have the resources to launch a new hand held and support the wiiu as they have to make all the games due to lack of third party support. This keeps the 3ds fresh for another couple of years allowing them to boost the wiiu library.

But Shadow of colossus on the PS2 had a 3D world where you had to figure out where to go to get to the next colossi without hand holding. Anyway I'm being picky the new Zelda will be awesome they always are!!!!

In this day and age no game can last an entire generation without dlc. Those days are gone. What Nintendo are doing with this dlc for me is offering longevity at great value.

This for me is where Nintendo are miles ahead of the competition right now they offer the biggest bang for buck!

You wait ages for Nintendo to confirm dlc and then they go ahead and deliver the best value dlc ever! I'm still in shock but I do know the first thing im doing when I get home tonight. Downloading that update then pre-ordering that dlc can't wait to play as link!

I actually agree with the Ubisoft employee I never liked the whole real world cars in Mario kart thing.

I'm currently playing OoT on the wiiu via the Wii menu and links awakening on the 3ds that's how important the vc is for me its my bread and butter in many ways. However I do feel the gba games are over priced as I view them on the same level as SNES games. NES games as mentioned are more expensive on the 3ds so a price review is needed I think.

As young teens my and my friends used to play mortal kombat on our SNES's adults we'll play this game. The whole Nintendo gamers don't play mature games is a myth. I think this game will sell well to the existing user base and the fact Nintendo are publishing it means quailty should be assured. Will it be enough to attract new wiiu owners? i don't know but its getting jealous looks from no Nintendo gamers.

After getting drunk and renewing my Xbox live membership so I could play halo like a boss. I will be playing halo like a boss this weekend.

@arkady77 Disney own the rights but contracted ea to make the games. Dice are working on an fps based on the star wars licence.

I have MH3U on both the 3DS and WiiU and do not regret buying it twice. I really hope they bring this to the WiiU too the online community is really welcoming, patient and helpful. Its probably one if the last good team based online games.

It's nice but didn't think the blue shell is worth £20. The game and Wheel for £40 seems like better value for money so I went with that!

After only owning a 3ds for a few weeks this was a nice welcome to the world of Nintendo handheld gaming and I found myself abandoning my WiiU to play this instead as it is sooo addictive.
I've been using the circle pad pro which I think works perfectly with this game. I fully intend on picking up the premium version before my next holiday to expand the single player.

Shame 3DS owners ruined what could have been a good upbeat thread. Yes we are getting GBA on the VC, yes you should be jealous and no Nintendo is not making a bad decision.

Since there was no WiiU VC title announced today I'm calling it last minute Direct followed by the release of SMB3 in Europe on Thursday.

I'm in the mood for some pain this weekend so I'm going to attempt to complete Super Meat Boy again. I say attempt because I'll probably rage quit and carry on with my new play through of The Wonderful 101 for some light relief lol

@Raylax in my world a minor version is a version of code still in test awaiting sign off and a major version is what goes into production once signed off. I thought this was a universal thing when it came to config management. Now i know i was wrong! Thanks for your post

Turns out that big things do come in small packages.

The art style is really cool and a nice idea but as others have mentioned the 35 dollar price point is to high for what is essentially a gamble on the gameplay living up to the art style.

Can't help but think Nintendo are releasing rubbish VC titles because all the good ones are getting HD remakes (that statement is pure sarcasim by they way).

@ThomasBW84 Most reviews are marking it down for being hard (Wonderful 101 all over again) which I don't feel is fair. Don't let the hecklers pull you or make you feel you need to justify your score.

@Faron Putting the fact I'm a Mario fanboy aside for a second and have been for a good long while and I'm hyped for both the titles. Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker HD may not win overall game of the year awards but they are definitely "best of breed" games (and three of the best games I've played all year and I own also own a PS3 and 360). The "its the lack of good software" line is starting to wear a little thin on me if I'm honest I just don't believe it anymore.

Really good price point plus great game equals a day one purchase to me. Looking forward to it.
