Re: Brian Provinciano Addresses Retro City Rampage WiiWare Delay

@bboy2970: Yeah I hate when these guys do that too. Theres no way in h*ll that the xbox version should be done before the wiiware version, and to be out so many months before. Wiiware should have got it first. It's insulting that they announced it as Wiiware exclusive, then suddenly they're doing it for xbox...and "wii" get it several months afterward.
Microsoft must have paid alot to get that to happen.

Edit: @Objectionblaster: That's right. It doesn't make much sense. Microsoft probably paid him a crapload to get it first.

@BD: Fuuuu? Come on, dont hold back your feelings.
Actually, this does suck. I'd like to know the reason for this (Not enough room?, didn't make enough money on xbox?). Not sure if I would have got it, but I might have since such a big deal was made about this game.

Re: Wii Balance Board Gets its First Horror Title Next Year

I agree. You (I definately) can never have too many horror games.
I think they'll make you use the board to walk around for one (or in the case of some creepy thing coming for you, RUN.), at least. Of course if something grabbed your leg maybe you could try to shake it off (The thing grabbing you.....not your leg. ).

Re: Sims 3 for Wii Goes Multiplayer, Loses Construction Mode

longtimegamer

@Highlar: I was just replying to someone who said xbox had 2 Sims games. That wouldn't be a big deal because of the hard drive. I wasn't trying to say the xbox was better or whatever. No reason to be offended, ok?

Anyways I think they had some sort of construction on the Sims game where they're lost on an island (was it smallscale?), and dont they have building houses on My Sims in some form? Anyways, I dont know why they dropped the building, I just thought of the memory thing and threw it out there, in case that coulda been it.
edit: They were talking about the old Xbox, not the 360, by the way.

edit 2: If their hard drive was full, then they'd have to delete something if they needed the memory, of course.

Re: The Nintendo Era is Over, Tweets Former Final Fantasy Scribe

I like to play my games when I lay down, like one the ds and GBA. I think this is too big to do that comfortably. So there's one for Nintendo. I think this would have to be smaller for this to even be feasible (the idea of ending nintendos handheld "riegn"). The ds and gba would be more convieniant to carry around too, I would think. Plus laptops haven't overtaken nintendos portable market and why is that? They can have more power, so why didn't they overtake them?
I think something more portable like the I-phone or i-pod would have a better chance because of its size. By the way.... isn't this like an oversized i-touch phone, (or Ipod touch, as was said above) minus the phone?

Re: 3DS Will Let You Play in 2D Too, If You Want

longtimegamer

I think it's a good move to make it this way. Like with the wii, some games use motion control and some don't. This at least makes it not a total lose if the 3D part fails or people lose interest in it. Plus there are suppose to be other features besides 3D to make this different from the DS's now, even if the 3D thing doesn't go well.
I hope it does go well. Finding a way to make 3D actually useful like judging distances would be a good idea, I think. An example would be golf. If you want to figure how far to hit the ball, you have to actually have to look at a number that shows the distance on screen, but with this you might be able to judge with your eye's (Not sure about that, as I don't play real golf). I think a good use would be for depth perception in a medical game like Trauma Center. It could make it feel more real or that person your working on is actually there and not just a flat picture. Combining that with good use of the rumble feature would make it would make it feel even more real.
I think 3d could make a person feel even more as if they're in the game (or could go in). This might be cool for Scary games.

Edit: Actually if it used a built-in camera to judge how close your stylist or finger was to the screen, that'd be even better, not to mention make you feel more like you're interacting in an actual "3D" envionment.

Re: Monster Hunter 3 a Roaring Sales Success in UK

longtimegamer

Yeah! Take that! All you whinners and complainers (The third party companies). Hardcore games don't do well on the wii?
Yeah, right. How bout trying to advertise properly. A good game's can't sell well if no one knows anything about it. Also, not every single one of them should just because they're supposidly HardCore, but some CAN succeed with good marketing and if there's some depth to them (as well as being good games, they should give you your money's worth.)
Maybe now some companies will stop treating the Wii differently, as if a game on another console would have to be changed to appeal to the Wii demographic (or treating it like less of a gamers console than the PS3 and 360 just because it's "less powerfull" and they feel silly "waggling" the wimote around.)

There shouldn't be any excues now, but, you watch...there'll be some.

I spent a long time looking through there movies. It's pretty awsome for me. I was all excited with all the stuff I could watch. I got my cd yesterday and my brother helped ne on the debit card thing. I also found that I could add stuff online that I didn't origionally see when I looked at it from the actual program.
