Re: E3 2010: First Impressions: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

@46 Yeah I agree. Practically every non-Wind Waker Link (Majora's Mask Link being the exception) had as much personality as a tree trunk that kept using the same three facial expressions: shocked/angry (the same in-game animation pretty much), stoic (standard expression for 80% of the game), and smiling (rarely used unless in cutscenes).

Re: E3 2010: More Clues to the Inner-Workings of Ghost Trick Phantom Detective

kevohki

@1 Because Ace Attorney has become stale, boring, and predictable considering each game has pretty much been the EXACT same thing for almost a decade now.

I love how Capcom is taking tremendous fanboy crap because this game dares to try something new, different, and unique. The nerve of some developers, how dare they try to be creative...

Re: E3 2010: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This was probably the worst thing Nintendo showed outside of Just Dance 2 and Wii Party. I had low expectations after Twilight Princess but was excited when they said they were "reinventing" Zelda. I didn't realize that meant simply putting MotionPlus over TP's already busted controls while not reinventing anything.

Re: Sonic Colours to Brighten Up DS and Wii

Deep Within the SEGA Headquarters

"Gentlemen, after giving Sonic fans hope with the announcement of a retro-styled Sonic the Hedgehog 4, how do you propose we capitalize on their excitement and hopes?"

Shadowy Figures: "RETURN TO MAKING CRAP!"

"Excellent. So it shall be."

Re: La Mulana Developers Discuss Religious and Rating Issues

kevohki

This seems like a non-issue. Just release it with a T-rating and nothing censored. It's not like it's God of War HD nudity and violence we're discussing. Anyone who gets upset over any religious symbolism, well, they should really re-examine their own faith if a video game can cause them to rage over such trivial things.

Re: Galaxy 2 Bonus DVD Detailed, Definitely Won't Play on Wii

kevohki

Yeah, you just know some people are going to put the DVD in their Wii and then call Nintendo to complain the DVD won't play. I personally can't wait to play my Mario Bonus DVD on my PS2 and watch my room fill with irony.

Also a Yoshi plush toy would have been a better bonus pack-in...

Re: Miyamoto: Nintendo May Need to Rethink its Online Approach

kevohki

If Nintendo truly cared about online gaming they would have planned something substantial with online services/support back in 2005 before the Wii even launched. Five years later and all we have is Wii Speak, Friend Codes, and a laziness to incorporate even the simplest online features into their games. I love Nintendo but I will bash their online gaming views and strategies because they need to stop acting like online gaming doesn't matter. Microsoft, Apple, and Sony would like nothing more for Nintendo to keep living in the 1990s when it comes to online gaming.

Re: Review: Sin and Punishment: Star Successor (Wii)

kevohki

"Once you’ve finished there’s arguably little else to encourage you to keep playing..." And it still gets a 9? Say what? Considering the game is only 4 hours long at best and still a full $50... I don't know if the game deserves a score that high when many downloadable games are twice the playtime for a fraction of that full $50 price.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter 3 (Tri~) (Wii)

kevohki

I might have gotten this if it was for another system or the PC but I just don't trust the Wii community to keep this game alive and worth playing online. That also considering how niche of a game it is and how it most likely won't sell that well in the first place.

Re: Review: Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube)

kevohki

Not my favorite Mario game but still a good game. I enjoyed the FLUDD-less levels the most because they were the only challenging parts of the game. However, the final boss battle with Bowser was super pathetic and left me not liking the game as much as other Mario games.

Re: Sony: 3D Handheld Gaming Might Not Work

kevohki

He's fair in saying that it might not work for a portable system because well, it just simply might not work. Nintendo has had success with innovation but they also have utterly failed with innovation before so I'll wait till E3 to see if this glasses-less 3D is anything more than another gimmick.

Re: Might The Next Zelda Sense Your Vitality?

kevohki

No thanks. "...incorporate the Vitality Sensor into Zelda so that as you become more scared, the enemies become even tougher." Who honestly gets frightened by Zelda games? The only scary thing about them is Tingle. This concept would be better suited for third party horror games like Silent Hill.
